Abstract

This study is intended to gain more information on the development of instruction materials in teaching and learning process at Islamic Senior High Schools in Aceh Besar, Aceh, Indonesia. This study used qualitative approach to reveal hidden things behind the realities. To collect data, I employed several techniques including interviews, observations, and documentations. This study found that the development of teaching materials had been done by teachers of Islamic Senior High schools in Aceh Besar. There were several forms of development including enriching teaching materials using various references; writing modules; making summary of learning materials and; combining different teaching strategies according to the learning materials and objectives.

Abstract

The Ma’had Ulumuddin Lhokseumawe is one of the institutes that encourages students to speak in Arabic. They must use it every day for avoidance and fear of punishment. Students try to use Arabic as much as they know, although there are mistakes. Based on these phenomena support the researcher to correct them. The purposes of this study are identify and analyze the common mistakes of female student, as well as identify the main reasons behind this phenomenon.The method used by the researcher is descriptive analytical study, where described these studies for the existence of mistakes in speech by students at the Ma’had Ulumuddin. The research community is all the 500 students of junior-level. The researcher took 10% of the sampel, that is 50 students of first level. Sampling method is porposive sampling.The results showed that: (1) The common mistakes that occur between students during the communication between them of the kafaiyyah mistakes. That's at 77 or 84.61%. And the adaiyyah mistakes revolve between them less than the limit, which is on the amount of 14 or 15.39%. (2) Student error analysis is divided into four (a) grammatical errors for 38.88%, which are most of the errors that occurred. Followed by (b) semantic errors for 35,55%, and (c) capital errors of 18.88%. And (d) technological errors for 6.69%. Which are the low mistakes that occurred between them.(3) Two main causes of the causes of this phenomenon, which are the errors are: (a) The reasons related to students, the weakness of the Arabic language, and this indicates that the structure or sentence that the students brought confused the language of the mother, Match between the verb and the actor in terms of recall, femininity and others. And (b) the reasons related to the teacher thereof, do not correct their words when they hear the error immediately. Arabic teachers are not accompanied by good accompaniment to students when speaking and others.

Abstract

The implementation of rewards and punishments within the Islamic religious education learning in SMA (public senior high school) in Pidie District has not been well conducted, leading to the learning achievement of the Islamic religious education has not yet shown optimum results. Therefore, this study examined the implementation of the reward and punishment system as an effort to improve the students’ achievement in SMA in Pidie District. The study focused on the forms of rewards and punishments, and their application and relation with the improvement of the students’ learning achievement in Islamic religious education. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, taking place in SMA Negeri 2 Sigli, SMA Negeri 1 Keumala, and SMA Negeri 1 Kembang Tanjong. Data collection techniques included observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of the study showed that the forms of rewards provided included giving awards to the students who excelled in both academic and nonacademic domains. The rewards were also given in the forms of praises, gifts, body movements (giving thumbs up), applause, daily scores, smiles, writing names on the blackboard, and mentioning names. On the other hand, the punishments included giving advice and guidance, showing sour faces, giving loud reprimands, cleaning the schoolrooms and classrooms, providing additional duties, and memorizing surah or short verses of the Quran or hadiths. The application of rewards and punishments has become the guideline for the teachers to monitor and control the students, to create an orderly school life so that the atmosphere is conducive to teaching and learning activities, to appreciate the students who are active or successful academically and non-academically, to foster the student awareness on how to be good and quality students, and to encourage the students to gain more achievements. The rewards and punishments have been carried out regularly and programmed in teaching and learning activities as well as in extracurricular activities. The rewards and punishments were applied by involving all parties such as the teachers, the students affairs/guidance and counseling department, and the homeroom teachers. The provision of rewards and punishments have made the students more motivated in following the learning process. Furthermore, the students’ learning achievement on Islamic religious education indicated that the students have paid more attention to the lesson, believed in the ability in doing the laerning tasks, become more satisfied in the learning process, and been able to determine what actions that should be done.

Abstract

This thesis research is motivated to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that learners actively develop their potential to have the spiritual power of religion, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skill that needed him/her. Learning media as a vehicle for channeling or learning message container has a very important role in the teaching and learning process. In addition to attracting the attention of students, the media can also convey a message that is able to approach the actual object so that teachers do not need to explain elaborately about something that can not be displayed directly or concretely. The purpose of this research is to know the utilization of multimedia in improving the mastery of the material and How the results of multimedia implementation in improving the mastery of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) material in public elementary school Lambaro Angan. This test is useful for writers to add insight and experience in particular to improve the quality of teaching. For SD Negeri Lambaro Angan as a contribution of thought and for teachers to increase knowledge in the teaching and learning process. This research used the observation method. Interviews and documentation. This observation researchers use to dig the data, observe or pay attention to some things namely; the state educational institutions of Lambaro Angan State Element in the form of buildings, environmental situation, educators and teaching and learning process took place. Interview method researchers used to collect data on the use of instructional media and the results of multimedia implementation in increasing mastery of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The data sources in this data collection are PAI Teachers, other teachers are also students of class V. With this method of documentation the author tries to collect data from documents related to media utilization in increasing the mastery of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Negeri Lambaro Angan Aceh Besar. After the authors conduct research using some of the above methods, the authors can conclude that the use of media learning well will facilitate students to learn and more quickly learning materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about the form of social cognitive theory approach from Bandura which can be applied to the learning of Islamic Education in Schools. Based on several previous studies, the cognitive approach has widely applied to learned was the cognitive approach from Piaget. The method used in this research is qualitative research with library research approach. Based on the analysis of the literature study, the approach of the social cognitive theory that can be applied to the learning of Islamic Education learning is through observational learning or modeling which includes four processes namely the process of attentional, retention, reproduction, and motivational processes. The social-cognitive approach that can be applied to Islamic education learning is on the application; curriculum, teaching, and assessment. In addition, the application of social learning theory by means of modeling is not contrary to the teachings of Islam that encourage people to make the Prophet as a model or role model in life.

Abstract

In order to obtain the learning achievements of Islamic Religious Education, a number of factors play an important role on students. The study of this thesis examined whether there was an influence of achievement motivation, family culture and teaching behavior of teachers on the student achievements of Islamic Religious Education at SMA Negeri (public senior high school) 2 Sabang. The study employed a quantitative descriptive research method, a method whose problem solving process concerning on a current research subject or object described in; the total samples were 63 students, consisting of the independent variables: achievement motivation (X1), family culture (X2), teachers’ teaching behavior (X3), and the dependent variable: learning achievements (Y). The research findings showed that there was no significant influence on the students’ learning achievements of Islamic Religious Education, with the value of r = -0.090, between variable X1 with variable Y, indicating a weak or non linear correlation. Further, it also showed that family culture (X2) did not give a significant effect on Y with r = -0.158. Similarly, the teachers’ teaching behavior (X3) with Y amounted to r = -0.001 which referred to a weak correlation or non linear and negative correlation. It can be concluded that the students’ learning achievements of Islamic Religious Education of SMA Negeri 2 Sabang were not fully influenced by these three variables.

Abstract

Vocabulary is a set of language words. Vocabulary is important in the process of developing student language. The more vocabulary the students master, the more he talks and writes. Teaching writing begins with writing letters, words and then sentences. Sometimes the mistake in word writing causes wrong meaning. Therefore, Arabic students must learn and understand it. This research was conducted at the Babun Najah boarding school where students learn vocabulary at the school. However, the researcher found mistake from students in vocabulary writing, such as installing letters on the word "مطعم " write "مضعم " dan"مطعام" and so forth. One of the main reasons for teaching problems is that the teacher does not apply interesting methods and media to teach vocabulary, especially in writing with correct hijaiyah letters. Therefore, the researcher wants to apply the Guide Teaching method with crosswords as a solution to this problem. The purpose of this study is to know the condition of students in the process of teaching implementation on the application of Guide Teaching methods with crossword puzzles and the effectiveness of both to improve students' ability to compile hijaiyah letters. This study uses the quasi-experiment method. The researcher took a sample of 19 students from the second grade (d) in one group at the Babun Najah boarding school and collected data in the form of observation and tests. To analyze data, researchers used a test code related to the t-test. The results showed that the application of the Guide Teaching method with crossword puzzles is a condition of good learning and teaching processes, which can influence the condition of class and student including the spirit of student in following the learning process, good attention to the learning materials, courage to ask, mutual cooperation and compact in completing the task group, so that the learning process will be more active and fun, and the use of Guide Teaching method with crossword puzzles is effective in improving students' ability to correctly compile hijaiyah letter in a word with the result of t counting more larger than t table, that is 2.567> 7.60 .

Abstract

Every “kalam” in Arabic is a sentence “jumlah”. The ability of student to express something in their mind’s, or their heart’s, or convey the idea, or giving information to other, or reading comprehension, or daring to speak with Arabs, or interaction with other is affected by understanding of the “jumlah”. The problem which experienced by student in class Va in Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School is understanding of “jumlah ismiyah” was still little bit. Therefore, expected to teachers who teach nahwu’s lesson to use a method or a correspond’s book. And name of the book is al-Ṭabīq al-Nuhawil wa al-Șarfi. The aim of this research is to know effectiveness al-Ṭabīq al-Nuhawil wa al-Șarfi book to improve student’s ability in understanding “jumlah ismiyah”. The method used in this research is Quasi Experiment. This study conducted in class five Darul Ulum Islamic boarding school Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The total sample was twenty eight students of class five A. This research found that the use at-Tathbiq an-Nahwi wa as-Sharfi textbook to improve students’ ability in the understanding “jumlah ismiyah” is very effective.

Abstract

SD Negeri (public elementary school) 25 Banda Aceh is one of the schools that join together children with special needs with normal children in one class in every school subject including Islamic religious education. This practice may cause teachers to encounter difficulties in teaching children with special needs; moreover, other problems also occur such as the limited number of teachers of Islamic religious education, inadequate facilities, and so forth. The focus of this research was related to the implementation, the role of teachers, as well as the constraints and solutions of the Islamic religious education teachers in performing the teaching and learning process at SD Negeri 25 Banda Aceh. This qualitative research employed a descriptive research approach. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of Islamic religious education learning for children with special needs was based on the 2013 curriculum. The modified curriculum was then grouped into the modifications of learning time allocation, learning materials, and the teaching and learning process of the children with special needs. The methods employed by the teachers were relatively similar to regular children such as memorization, lecture, question and answer, group work, demonstration, and practice. However, children with special needs also required further assistance and motivation. These children would also need a special escort teacher during the teaching and learning process. The roles of the teachers in implementing inclusive education included being correctors, inspirators, informers, organizers, motivators, initiators, facilitators, mentors, demonstrators, classroom managers, supervisors, mediators, and evaluators. In addition, teachers used learning tools and media to support students' understanding, especially in Islamic education learning. The obstacles faced by the teachers were due to the different abilities and characters of the students that made the teachers become very difficult in delivering the materials, the limited number of the teachers, the nonoptimal use of media, facilities, and infrastructure, and lack of study hours. The solutions to these issues included teachers being equipped with a guideline for handling children's special needs by making adjustments of time, manner, and material, and building togetherness, equality, and respect among fellow students.

Abstract

Indonesia is currently facing degradation of character marked by deviations of norms that are social and religious. Ma'had Al-Jami'ah is responsible for improving the character and create who are intellectually religious. This study aims to find out the implementation of learning of Islamic characters in Ma'had Al-Jami'ah IAIN Samarinda. This research used descriptive qualitative and collected data by interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that Text learning in religious activities still uses classical models in large numbers, so text learning has not achieved maximum results. Moreover, Islamic learning activities are still limited to translating and have not yet achieved scientific activities following university students' capacity. The learning implementation of Islamic character has been successful in three Islamic scopes, both in ḥabl minallāh, min al-nās, and min al-'ālam. Although ḥabl minallāh has not reached the level of maḥabbah, the learning process has trained students to worship and become obedient servants. Concerning the various learning activities and processes available, ḥabl min al-nās have become the most dominant scope, especially in attitude (adab) and empathy. Meanwhile, ḥabl min al-'ālam is only limited to cleaning activities and has not reached the stage of iḥsan comprehension.
