Abstract

Entrepreneurship developed among BINUS University students is in line with university mission, which is to produce 1 entrepreneur out of 3 graduates. This study aims to find out entrepreneurial behavior among students in BINUS University. The information can be use by University to develop appropriate entrepreneur program based on their behavior. This study takes samples from four departments: Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Mathematics-Statistics. The questionnaire is used as behavioral measurementtools and distributed to active -students in forth department. The result is processed using SPSS software. Based on the results of the questionnaire, there is no significant difference among students of the four departments inacceptance of entrepreneurial activities. Students assume that entrepreneurship is positive things to do which is supported by family, friends, and the University. There is a positive correlation between the desire to start entrepreneurship with the family support (r = .454) and with usage of e-media and e-social networking by students (r = .336). Students also prefer food and beverage, fashion, computer and its accessories, gadgets, education as area of business. The main obstacle in starting entrepreneurial activities is availability of both capital and time. Therefore, the support of BINUS is needed related to capital management, understanding of what it is capital and how to start an entrepreneurship, knowledge concerning the entrepreneurship management. University should help students about how to manage their time between managing the businessand their activities as students.

Abstract

Competition is very tight causing companies looking for a competitive edge, both in the product packaging and in maintaining good relations with their customers. The management of good relationship is commonly referred to Customer Relationship Management (CRM). In general, CRM is focused on how to market something to customers and obtain value from them by using information technology. However, it ignores customers’ insight that can provide added value to the company's profits. That is what causes the need for Customer Experience Management (CEM) to handle the experience of customers to improve value for customers so that customers become loyal. More useful definition of CEM is handling customer interactions to build brand equity and increase the long-term profitability. The five-element approach known as SMART (strategy, metrics; alignment, redesign and technology) has a positive impact for the company. In the end customers can actualize themselves, through a company's brand and products.

Abstract

An application system is required by a company to meet the needs of enterprise business processes so as to provide information quickly and accurately. Therefore, it is necessary to study the feasibility status of plan of enterprise system implementation. SAP R/3 contains various modules which is deserved to be considered as a company's information system solution. Results of the feasibility study through the analysis of fit/ gap analysis state that the implementation of SAP R/3 sales module is feasible and able to meet all the needs of the system. Results of cost and benefit analysis state that the strategy implementation of SAP R/3 module is feasible. Based on the analysis and research using the two methods above, a decision can be taken whether the SAP R/3 is worth to be implemented or not.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current system to find out problems faced by the company and propose alternative solutions and generate information needed by management by designing a data warehouse according to the information needs of PT ABC. This research implements analysis and design of datawarehouse by Ralph Kimball and Ross cited by Connolly and Begg, known as Nine-Step Methodology. The result obtained is a data warehouse application that may present a multidimensional historical data that can assist the management in decisions. Designing data warehouse at PT ABC makes concise the enterprise dataand can be viewed from several dimensions. It helps users analyze data for strategic decision quickly and accurately.

Abstract

Shortest path algorithms have been long applied to solve daily problems by selecting the most feasible route with minimum cost or time. However, some of the problems are not simple. This study applied the case using Dijkstra's algorithm on a graph representing street routes with two possible digraphs: one-way and twoway. Each cost was able to be changed anytime, representing the change in traffic condition. Results show that the usage of one way digraph in mapping the route does make the goal possible to reach, while the usage of twoway digraph may cause confusion although it is probably the possible choice in the real world. Both experiments showed that there are no additional computation stresses in re-calculating the shortest path while going halfway to reach the goal.

Abstract

Marketing strategies can include forms of chosen marketing communications and marketing mix strategy. A company should maintain its consumer loyalty in a long term to prevent its product being “lost” due to lack of after-sales service. Thus, a concept of customer relationship management appears to improve customer satisfaction. Furthermore, for the company, implementing a strong customer relationship management will support other business units so that the corporate goal to gain profit will be achieved, considering the function of CRM is part of marketing unit the as spearhead of the company. CRM development cannot beseparated from technology. Therefore the use of CRM combined with web-based technology will result in a line of the target of a company, especially a telecommunication company, to face competition.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate and assess how well the information system of fixed assets implemented by PT TMS (including general control and application control) in minimizing the current risks through the implemented controls. The methodology used is literature study by collecting data from a variety of books related to the topic and field research, such as observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Results of the evaluation are risks that exist in the system presented in the form of matrix of risk and control which consist of problem findings, potential risks (impact and likelihood) and the reliability of existing control (design and effectiveness). The general control applied by the company is found quite well, but the application control still needs improvement.

Abstract

The study aims to evaluate the sales information system of PT XYZ whether the system supports the company's goals, as well as to determine the problem and control done by the company. Literature study and field studies through observation, interviews and checklists are implemented. The results of this evaluation are weaknesses in information systems presented on matrices of risk assessment and audit reports. The evaluation discovers the weaknesses of each control which are the potential risks and recommendation need. The controlimplemented by the company still needs to be improved further, particularly in the controls of input and output which are still weak.
