Abstract

The development of the city is along with population growth in the city, from low density into a higher density. Along with the development of the population of the city that is denser, it is necessary to change the pattern of development, where the trend today is leading to the vertical development although increasing the density of the area is not an easy thing. This is because an increase in the density of the area must be balanced with an increase in facilities and adequate infrastructure. If it is not fulfilled then it will have a negative impact on the city or region. One of the necessary infrastructure for the development is transportation infrastructure since the development of a city will increase density therefore in turn it will generate the daily trip, both from the region and towards the region. In the field of urban design, the formula for the density limitation is set in the urban design guidelines that functions as the foundation for an architect to design the building. Urban design guidelines is mainly formulated in the numbers BCR, FAR, and the maximum height of buildings that will form the frame of the building mass. Therefore, this paper intends to explain the optimum modeling between the density of a region with the treshold of existing road infrastructure. With the modeling of the optimum, then the negative impacts can be reduced and the modeling results will get the maximum density that can be accommodated in an area.

Abstract

Sills, doors and windows is one of the most important parts of the buildings, one type of building that needs them is residences. Nowadays, the development sills, doors and windows are very fast with advanced technology that expands the materials of sills, doors and windows from traditional wood materials to aluminium. The presence of aluminum material choices make the owner of the house could have a role towards sustainable concept but it is inversely proportional to the real situation in which the use of aluminum frames is widely used by the middle class and above. Yet in terms of time, efficiency and quality is still superior to aluminum frames, aluminum frames in which certain anti-termite, easier maintenance and more durable. This situation is considered as the cost of aluminum door sills and relatively expensive. With so many advantages to the frame, people should start using aluminum frames since it is reasonable to pay a higher price for longer durability.

Abstract

Considering the increasing need for local (government and community) in developing tourism destinations in the era of autonomy, considering the need to select the appropriate attraction according to the respective criteria, and considering the needs of businessmen travel / hotel to offer the appropriate attraction with the needs of potential tourists, it is necessary to develop a database of tourist destinations in Indonesia that is able to facilitate these needs. The database is built is a web-based database that is widely accessible and capable of storing complete information about Indonesian tourism destination as a whole, systematic and structured. Attractions in the database already classifiable based attributes: location (the name of the island, province, district), type/tourism products, how to achieve these attractions, the cost, and also a variety of informal information such as: the ins and outs of local attractions by local communities or tourists. This study is a continuation of previous studies or research phase two of three phases planned. Phase two will focus on the collection and processing of data as well as testing and refinement of the model design and database structure that has been created in Phase I. The study was conducted in stages: 1) Design Model and Structure Database,2) Making a Web-based program, 3) Installation and Hosting, 4) Data Collection, 5) Data Processing and Data entry, and 6) Evaluation and improvement/Completion.

Abstract

Simultaneous model is a model for some equation which have simultaneous relationships. It was often found in econometrics, such as the relationship between Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP) and poverty. GDP is a common indicator that can be used to determine the economic growth occurred in region. Meanwhile, poverty is one of the indicators to measure the society welfare. Information about these relathionships were important to perform the relathionsips between GDP and poverty. So this research conducted an analysis to obtain simultaneous models between GDRP and poverty. Estimation of the parameters used is Two-Stage Least Squares Estimation (2SLS). The data used are 33 provinces in Indonesia at 2010. By α = 5%, it was conclude that variable which significant effect on GDRP is poverty, export, and import. Meanwhile, the variables that significantly affect poverty are population. The simultaneous model (α = 5%) also conclude that there is no simultaneous relationship between GDRP and poverty. However, with α = 25%, there is a simultaneous relationship between GDRP and poverty.

Abstract

Sorghum is one of the non-rice commodities which have a relatively high content of nutrients, especially protein and carbohydrate. However, the nutritional value is to be down and relatively low due to the relatively high tannin content as an anti-nutrient. Fairly high tannin content in sorghum is also causing sorghumhas unpleasant taste and slightly bitter or "Sepet". Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the content of tannins in sorghum that is expected to improve the quality of nutrition, especially the increase in protein and starch digestibility and palatability or the flavor of sorghum products. The purpose of this study is to obtain the best method to lower tannin content in the manufacture of low-tannin sorghum milling, which will be used in the manufacture of instant rice sorghum. This research was done in two stages, namely 1) the timing of the millingstage and 2) the development stage of a method of making low-tannin sorghum milling by comparing the content of tannin reduction method with the immersion process in alkaline solution (NaOH 0.3% and 0.3% Na2CO3) and distilled water with the method of reducing tannin content without immersion process. The results of this study indicate that the best milling time that can produce milled sorghum with good physical sorghum is five minutes and the best immersion treatment that can lower the optimum tannin content is by immersing in 0.3%Na2CO3 solution for 24 hours. This method can reduce up to 77.46% tannin content.
