Abstract

Entrepreneurship in Indonesia has been developing rapidly these past years. A survey among 210 university students without economic or business educational background showed that they also have an intention to be an entrepreneur and that their major in the university is not a barrier for them to start their own business. This study uses three independent variables which are attitude toward behavior, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms to see the impact towards students’ entrepreneurial intention. Data was processed using PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modeling). The finding of this study showed that attitude toward behavior, perceived behavioral control, and subjective norms have a significant impact towards students’ entrepreneurial intention. This study can be used by the government and universities to create programs that will increase the entrepreneurial spirit among students from various educational background and open opportunities for them to participate in entrepreneurial activities.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the effect of variable Capital Adequacy (CAR), Non Performing Loans (NPL) and Liquidity (LDR) to Profitability (ROA) at the Commercial Bank. The population in this study is a registered commercial bank Bank Indonesia in 2011-2013. Data obtained from Bank Indonesia and the annual report published by the bank. The study sample was obtained by using purposive sampling method, and obtained a sample of 29 commercial banks. The analysis technique used is panel data and hypothesis testing using the F test and t test with a confidence level of 5%. Simultaneous research results indicate that the Capital Adequacy (CAR), Non Performing Loans (NPL) and Liquidity (LDR) to Profitability (ROA) significantly. Partially indicates that variable Non Performing Loans (NPL) and liquidity (LDR) significant effect on profitability (ROA). R2 value in this research is 0,759526, this mean that 75,95% of ROA variable could be explained by independent variables Capital Adequacy, Non Performing Loans and Liquidity. And 24,05% is explained by other variables outside the model of this study.

Abstract

Early 20’s century begins with revealed some accounting financial scandals from reputable companies around the world’s where the economic crisis starts. Facts from some cases proofed that the auditors have weakness in assessing audit risk from those reputable companies (some are Enron (2001), worldcom (2002), Madoff (2008), and Saytam (2009)), recent years the scandals were happens to Japan companies where it hits Olympus (2011) and Toshiba (2015). Indonesia had Kimia Farma (2002) for example where the auditor were convicted less professional from assessing acceptable audit risk. The phenomena showed that auditors have big uncertainty of risk when they do the audit process and highly related to their integrity in doing the process. Assessment audit about clients will be influenced by the approach that was undertaken, audit planning program, risk assessment and how to analyze audit evidence (Bell et al; 2005). This research were aimed to give an empirical evidence on public accountants behavior in Jakarta, Indonesia when assessing acceptable audit risk based on their independent auditors. Using 11 public accountant offices in south and east Jakarta were picked randomly from OJK Public accountant offices Listed in 2015 with multivariate regression model between audit complexity, audit sampling judgment and management integrity toward acceptable audit risk. The result showed that the small portion of audit sampling judgment were set by the public accountants when they give their opiniondo makes the acceptable risk getting higher. Audit complexity and management integrity didn’t show related toward acceptable audit riskin public accountant offices in Jakarta during 2015.

Abstract

Smartphone is a mobile phone equipped with internet features that allow users to access a veriety of information quickly. Samsung is one company which also issued a smartphone with a variety of types. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between consumer behavior that psychological factors, personal and social skills that encourage consumers to make purchasing decisions. Psychological influenced by motivation, perception, learning, and beliefs. Personal factors or personally affected by the cycle of life, lifestyle, state of the economy. Social influenced by the reference group, the family, the role and status. There are five stages in making purchasing decisions, problem recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives, purchase decision, and post-purchase behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of partial and simultaneous influence of psychological factors, personal, and social on purchasing decisions. Data collection techniques using primary data by spreading questionnaires to 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this research is Non-Probability Sampling with purposive sampling method. Mechanical analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results of the study simultaneously and partially psychological factors, personal, and social positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The Old City of Jakarta as a major tourist destination, is at the “Competitive Parity” level In the “tourism destination competitiveness” criteria. That position has not been posted in the “Sustained Competitive Advantage” as the highest level. Hence, in order to improve the competitiveness level, the effective and efficient strategy should be formulated and implemented. To formulate the strategy, this research analyse the five components of tourism destination competitiveness by the SWOT analysis model. The five components are Core Resources and Attractors; Supporting Factors and Resources; Destination Management; Destination Policy, Planning and Development and Qualifying and Amplifying Determinants. The SWOT Analysis also includes the SWOT Matrix and Quadran as the reference for formulating the strategy. The result shows that progressive strategy could be formulated and implemented to enhance the competitiveness of the Jakarta Old City.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility lately has become the main topic arround the business companies in Indonesia. In order to grow the business, they use corporate social responsibility to get the public symphaty. Even the sharia bank of BNI use the social activities and publicity to increase the purchase intention of their savings product. There is a relation between CSR and corporate image and then affect the purchase intention, and this is one of the purpose of this research. This research take 100 samples from BNI Sharia customers who knows about the CSR and who already had the savings product. This study was held at BNI Sharia in Depok to identify the purchase intention of savings product among the citizen. The results of this research are CSR positively and significantly affecting purchase intention and corporate image also positively and significantly affecting purchase intention. another results of this research is There is an interaction between CSR and corporate image and corporate image positively and significantly has function as a moderate variable that influence CSR to purchase intention.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the product, price, trust, security, and service to online purchasing decision on the Lazada online shop. The samples in this study were 70 respondents who are buyer of Lazada online shop. The sample size in this study using roscoe formula that the decent sample size in the study is between 30 to 500. Methods of data collection by questionnaire. Data analysis using regressions analysis and hypotheses using t-statistics and f-statistics with a confidence level of 5%. The result of this research shows that partially product influences to online purchasing decision, price does not influences to online purchasing decision, trust influences to online purchasing decision, security does not influences to online purchasing decision, and service influences to online purchasing decision. Simultaneously all independent variables influences purchasing decision.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology in the era of globalization is growing rapidly. This has a significant impact on internet usage in Indonesia. So that makes Indonesia a very potential market for e-commerce, which has triggered the emergence of various online stores in Indonesia. Achieving success in e-commerce business in online stores in Indonesia requires a strategy. Shopee is an e-commerce company that runs the C2C mobile marketplace business, which allows users to buy or sell goods through applications available on the iOS and Android platforms. This research is a quantitative research that aims to determine the effect of functional comfort and representative excitement on Impulse Buying. Data collection uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale with PLS (Partial Least Square) method with Smart PLS 3.2.7 software. The sample used in the study was 50 people. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that functional convenience variables have a significant effect on unplanned purchases, while representative excitement variables have no significant effect on Impulse Buying.

Abstract

This research to determine the effect of devidend policy and Investment Opportunity Set (IOS) on the firm performance on state-owned enterprises (SOE) go public listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study are all state-owned enterprises (SEO) go public listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2017 as many as 20 companies. The method used is purposive sampling, with the number of samples observed as many as 13 companies. The data used in study is secondary data in the form of financial statements. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was applied in this study to determine the effect of divident policy and Investment Opportunity Set (IOS) on firm performance. The result shows that divident policy has positive significant impact on the firm performance and Investment Opportunity Set (IOS) has not significant impact on the firm performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examines the effect of firm size and institutional ownership on company performance with debt policy as intervening variable in consumer goods company listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The sample of this research amount 25 consumer goods company listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange during the period 2008-2011 that were selected by using purposive sampling method. The data used are secondary data from financial statements published by the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The analysis technique used here is path analysis. The result of the research show firm size and institutional ownership simultaneously significant effect on debt policy. Partially, firm size has no significant effect on debt policy, while institutional ownership has a significant effect on debt policy. In addition, firm size, institutional ownership, and debt policy simultaneously significant effect on company performance. Partially, firm size and institutional ownership has a significant effect on company performance, whereas no significant effect on company performance is debt policy. There is not indirect effect between firm size and institutional ownership on company performance through debt policy as intervening variable.
