Jurnal Sosial Ekonomi Pekerjaan Umum adalah jurnal ilmiah tentang inovasi kebijakan dan penerapan teknologi dalam perencanaan infrastruktur, pengembangan, dan manajemen. Ruang lingkup terbatas pada ruang, sosial, ekonomi, dan perspektif lingkungan transportasi jalan, sektor air, limbah, dan perumahan. Jurnal ini dikelola oleh Pusat Litbang Kebijakan dan Penerapan Teknologi, Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan, Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat. Jurnal ini diterbitkan pada tahun 2009, dengan nama "Komunitas”. Dengan adanya perubahan organisasi, nama jurnal berubah menjadi Jurnal Sosial Ekonomi Pekerjaan Umum dan diterbitkan secara berkala 2 (dua kali) edisi di setiap volume yaitu bulan April dan November.

Abstract

Infrastructure is one of the efforts to improve services to support the embodiment of the people welfare. Therefore, infrastructure services should be improved in line with the demands of development and better public services. This is also supported by a number of studies that show that infrastructure can endorse economic growth. In particular PU, infrastructure plays a very important role in economic growth. Referring to that, then this paper will attempt to analyze the influence of PU infrastructure to the economy and welfare in Java and Sumatra. Method used in this research is the inpur-output analysis, econometric analysis and social analysis. The results are that the PU infrastructure was indeed had a positive impact on economic growth and encourage the establishment of welfare and also playing a part in encouraging creation of social capital. If views per sector, Bina Marga sector are the sector that the most absorbing labor while water resources sector is the sector that was most encouraged economic growth.

Abstract

The Social Economic Change that together with Suramadu bridge development could happen as "social economic change" or "planned change", but also could happen as the social economics change that was not planned (unplanned change), like the emergece of the community's conflict, criminality, the anarchist, plundering as resulting from social jealousy etc.The identification of the social problem of economics relly was needed as the efforts to minimize the impact of the negative resulting from the social economics change in process of development. This article had a purpose to identify the social economics problems in the development of Suramadu bridge that related to community welfare. This article was useful to give the description and input to stakeholders that was related handling alternative that must be studied further.

Abstract

Issue of the importance of multi-storey housing building appear as a solving on some of the urban problematic mainly in settlement issue. Some of societies considered that multi-storey housing able to solve parts of the problem. By vertically building housing, there will be reduction of farming land conversion; the ecosystem environmental will be revitalize, and affordable housing for the urban poorer communities. Nevertheless, other sides of societies are not being able to accept the multi storey housing concept because they consider it is inappropriate to the culture and social characteristic of the communities. Instead of solving the problem, this inappropriate concerned to create new problem rather than solving it. This research is explorative, perimeter on the investigation about communities perception on multi-storey housing build in Bali.

Abstract

Plan of infrastructure development of The Strait of Malaka bridge, which will connect the island of Sumatra and Malaysia, has been previously done, either by Indonesia goverment and also Malaysia goverment. Development of this bridge expected economic movement fluent from Malaysia to Indonesia and conversely. Also by built this bridge will support Asia road-works and ASEAN highway, which one of them is connecting Malaysia and Indonesia. To support the plan is required is exsitence of an initial research from social, economics, security and policy aspect.Research method applied is two methods at the same time that is quantitative and qualitative. The metodologies to be used in this research are both quantitative and qualitative. This research is the explorative one with the characteristic for finding out problems ins stakeholders which never been clearly. Result of research is got, that needing existence readiness of the Goverment of Indonesia, either social, economics, policy and security aspect before developmnet of The Strait of Malaka bridge is realized.

Abstract

Public Private Partnership (PPP) in waste disposal management has been conducted in several areas. This partnership occurs either because of the economic benefits generated from the wated disposal management in this location. This paper describes the intended economic benefits of partnership opportunities between the goverments and private sector in the waste disposal management in Suwung Denpasar and Sumur Batu Bekasi. Data collection method was done by in-depth's interview's, FGD and field observations. For analysis method was using a simple financial calculation such as calculated income for the products of the waste disposal management. Result of calculation indicated a change of economic benefit waste products in both waste disposal. Posibility of economic benefits should be able to optimized in the implementation. Challenges are long procedures and mechanisms to get this opportunity for Certificate of Emision Reduction (CER). If this opportunity optimized, the revenue and profit results of processing the waste products can be used to improve waste services in both regions.

Abstract

Kelurahan Cigugur Tengah is located at rapidly urbanizing city of Cimahi, West java. This area beared high-rate of population growth (2% per year), 100% Building Coverage Ratio (BCR), and low enviromental quality. This reseach is conducted ar RT 05 the most desified settlement within Kelurahan Cigugur Tengah. Enviromental and settlement quality improvement colud be achieve through redesigning this area towards a integrated form of landuse, environmental, conservation and economic development.
