Abstract

In various types of electronic transactions, including election systems and digital cash schemes, user anonymity and authentication are always required. Blind signatures are considered the most important solutions to meeting these requirements. Many studies have focused on blind signature schemes; however, most of the studied schemes are single blind signature schemes. Although blind multi-signature schemes are available, few studies have focused on these schemes. In this article, blind multi-signature schemes are proposed based on the Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem (ECDLP). The proposed schemes are based on the GOST R34.10-2012 digital signature standard and the EC-Schnorr digital signature scheme, and they satisfy blind multi-signature security requirements and have better computational performance than previously proposed schemes. The proposed schemes can be applied in election systems and digital cash schemes.

Abstract

The effect of mobile tower radiation on child health in an ecologically sensitive area of Western Ghats in Idukki, Kerala is studied. In this paper, we have attempted to discover whether any relation exists between the RF exposure and the health of children under 15 years old. At some point of path of this work, twenty common diseases were considered. From our analysis, it has been discovered that five of them are very much related to RF exposure. Furthermore, the age group between ten to fifteen years is more vulnerable to mobile tower radiation, and boys are observed to be more affected than girls. In the region under study, exposure levels were well below the ICNIRP recommendations and the current Indian standards. However, still it is inadequate to safeguard children. So it is recommended to modify the current Indian standard of RF exposure.

Abstract

Underwater Wireless Sensor Network (UWSN) can enable many scientific, military, safety, commercial and environmental applications. Majority of the network models has been introduced for the deployment of sensor nodes through routing schemes and methodologies along with different algorithms but still the design of routing protocol for underwater environment is a challenging issue due to distinctive characteristics of underwater medium. The majority of the issues are also needed to fulfill the appropriate approach for the underwater medium like limited bandwidth, high bit error rates, propagation delay, and 3D deployment. This paper focuses the comparative analysis of the localization based routing protocols for UWSN. This comparative analysis plays a significant attention to construct a reliable routing protocol, which provides the effectual discovery of the route between the source node and the sink node. In addition this comparative analysis also focuses the data packets forwarding mechanism, the deployment of sensor nodes and location based routing for UWSN in different conditions.

Abstract

Direct torque control "DTC" technique is one of a high performance control system of an AC motor drive, which was proposed after the vector oriented control scheme during the resent 25 years. It has been developed rapidly for its concise system scheme, transient and dynamic performance. The DTC mechanism consists of voltage vector selection table, two hysteresis comparators and two estimators one for stator flux and another for electromagnetic torque. DTC is directly control torque and flux by using Voltage Source Inverter VSI, space vector and stator flux orientation and indirect speed regulated. A several control techniques can be used for improving the torque and flux performance. In this paper, the DTC with Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller used to improve the starting and dynamic performance of asynchronous motor AM, which gives good torque and flux response, best speed control and also minimize the unacceptable torque ripple. The mathematical model of DTC with PID controller of 3-phase induction motor IM are simulated under Matlab-Simulink. Therefore, the DTC based on PID controller has good performance of IM compared to classical DTC for starting, running state and also during change in load.

Abstract

The fuzzy logic algorithm is an artificial intelligence algorithm that uses mathematical logic to solve to by the data value inputs which are not precise in order to reach an accurate conclusion. In this work, Fuzzy decision tree (FDT) has been designed to solve the path planning problem by considering all available information and make the most appropriate decision given by the inputs. The FDT is often used to make a path planning decision in graph theory. It has been applied in the previous researches in the field of robotics, but it still shows drawbacks in that the robot will stop at the local minima and is not able to find the shortest path. Hence, this paper combines the FDT algorithm with the potential field algorithm. The potential field algorithm provides weight to the FDT algorithm which enables the robot to successfully avoid the local minima and find the shortest path.

Abstract

VLC is a complex system with lots of challenges in its implementation. One of its problems is noise that originated from internal and external sources (sunlight, artificial light, etc). Internal noise is originated from active components of analog front-end (AFE) circuit, which will be discussed in this paper, especially on the trans-impedance amplifier (TIA) domain. The noise characteristics of AFE circuit in VLC system has been analyzed using the variety of available commercial Op Amp and different types of the photodiode (Si, Si-PIN, Si APD). The approach of this research is based on analytical calculus and simulation using MATLAB®. The results of this research show that the main factor that affecting the noise is en, the feedback resistor (Rf), and junction capacitor in the photodiode (Cj). Besides that, the design concept of multi channel TIA (8 channel) using IC Op Amp, with consideration of pin number of each Op Amp, supply needs, the initial value of Rf, converter to 8-DIP and feedback capacitor (Cf) channel, also discussed in this paper.

Abstract

Clustering is an unsupervised classification method widely used for classification of remote sensing images.  As the spatial resolution of remote sensing images getting higher and higher, the complex structure is the simple objects becomes obvious, which makes the classification algorithm based on pixels being losing their advantages. In this paper, four different clustering algorithms such as K-means, Moving K-means, Fuzzy K-means and Fuzzy Moving K-means are used for classification of remote sensing images. In all the traditional clustering algorithms, number of clusters and initial centroids are randomly selected and often specified by the user. In this paper, a hill climbing algorithm for the histogram of the input image will generate the number of clusters and initial centroids required for clustering.   It overcomes the shortage of random initialization in traditional clustering and achieves high computational speed by reducing the number of iterations. The experimental results show that Fuzzy Moving K-means has classified the remote sensing image more accurately than other three algorithms.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v4i6.6608

Abstract

One of the most prominent problems experienced by the oil facilities is leakage of oil from the pipes. This problem caused 55% of oil refineries to be shut off. Oil leakage is a common problem that often results in oil waste, damage, and hazard to public health. Therefore, it is necessary to use Modern technologies to reduce this phenomenon and avoid them in advance. Pipes that convey fluids have many uses in various industries and living facilities. Risk increases when the fluid inside the pipe is flammable. In this work, main case that cause damage to the pipe, longitudinal crack is investigate. This work presents a new experimental model based on computer applications with a Fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm for testing the effect of longitudinal crack length by frequency and ultrasonic measurements to measure fluid velocity. The method is used for plastic pipe with 2 cm internal diameter, 3 cm external diameter, and 1 m length. The modulus of elasticity of the material is 800 N/mm2 according to the ISO 178 test method. The pipe conveys oil with simply supported ends. The results show that FFT model shows better features compared with other ways that depends on visual inspection or localized measurements which gave an external perception of pipeline damage. FFT model offers a reliable and cheap style for ensuring pipeline integrity and warning the risks before its occurrence. From the observations made the fundamental natural frequency (FNF) decreases by increasing of crack length in the pipe that conveys fluid

Abstract

The basis of IoT is in the interconnection and communication between different devices to achieve common goals through internet. These devices are interconnected through a network which enables communication within these devices without any direct human intervention. But with such great potential, this technology reached a road-block due to incompatibility within various manufacturers of the same type of device and proprietary standards. I started this project with this problem in mind and I have created a brand and platform independent machine socialization device manager system. In this paper, to overcome the above mentioned problem, I have utilized micro controllers to connect to various existing device to solve the problem and propose a device to device communication with collaboration management. This technology is not restricted to usage in only the new network module enabled smart devices but also this can be used to operate the existing old (not smart) home appliances. Machine socialization was made possible with the use of XML, (an internet standard schema language) which we have used to gather device, task and relationship information of all the devices to show schema information.

Abstract

In order to provide Career Guidance by an expert system to a student, apart from his/her academic record, it is necessary to assess various psychological factors of the student like Intelligence, patience and perseverance, Learning ability and Speed of solving problem, etc. The outcome of this research work is an expert system called Tic-Tac-Toe Game Playing Career Guidance System (TTT-GP-CGS) that is useful to assess the psychological factors of the student through Tic-Tac-Toe Game Playing, build the cognitive model of the student and predict the appropriate career(s) for the student. The system plays Tic-Tac-Toe game with the student several times. The average score obtained by the student reflects his/her intelligence. The average time taken by the student for playing the game reflects student's speed of solving problem. The number of attempts the student makes reflects the students patience and perseverance. When the student plays the game with the spaystem every day, if the student's  score increases day by day, it reflects that the student has good learning ability. In this way the system will assess the psychological factors of the student and builds the cognitive model of the student. Internally the system converts the quantitative scores into qualitative scores. The system maintains a table of careers and the expected levels of psychological factors that are required from student's side to carry out the career successfully. The system invokes a matching process  by considering the cognitive model of the student and the table of careers, and predicts the career(s) suitable  to the student.
