Luby Transform (LT) code is considered as an efficient erasure fountain code. The construction of the coded symbols is based on the formation of the degree distribution which played a significant role in ensuring a smooth decoding process. In this paper, we propose a new encoding scheme for LT code generation. This encoding presents a deterministic degree generation (DDG) with time hoping pattern which found to be suitable for the case of short data length where the well-known Robust Soliton Distribution (RSD) witnessed a severe performance degradation. It is shown via computer simulations that the proposed (DDG) has the lowest records for unrecovered data packets when compared to that using random degree distribution like RSD and non-uniform data selection (NUDS). The success interpreted in decreasing the overhead required for data recovery to the order of 25% for a data length of 32 packets.

This paper is aimed at assessing the effectiveness of the phase-only control strategy based on a customized Taguchi method when applied to Uniform Circular Arrays (UCA). The objective of this paper consists to contribute the main lobe optimization of the smart antenna using Taguchi's method. We used the cited method in order to determine phase's weights for each element of the circular antenna array in order to steer the principal lobe from -65° to 65° covering all angular space. After that, we made an electronic platform using the microcontroller STM8S in order to implement an intelligent system. The architecture of this work had used a digital phase shifters, a demodulator AD8347, a modulator AD8349, an array antenna, cards STM8S-Discovery.

Due to the rapid advancement of knowledge and technologies, the problem of decision making is getting more sophisticated to address, therefore the inventing of new methods to solve it is very important. One of the promising directions in machine learning and data mining is classifier combination. The popularity of this approach is confirmed by the still growing number of publications. This review paper focuses mainly on classifier combination known also as combined classifier, multiple classifier systems, or classifier ensemble. Eventually, recommendations and suggestions have also included.

Efficient coverage and connectivity are two important factors that ensures better service quality especially during tracking targets or monitoring events in wireless sensor network. Although massive amount of studies has been carried out in the past to enhance coverage and connectivity issues, till date very few studies have witnessed a significant and standard outcomes that can opt further. Hence, this paper introduces a computationally efficient technique for jointly addressing both coverage and connectivity problems in large-scale wireless sensor network that ensures optimal network lifetime too. The proposed system has been empirically designed, and algorithms formulated to ensure energy efficient monitoring of event. The outcomes of the study are compared with standard energy efficient hierarchical protocol to benchmark the results.

The following article represents the development of a traction system of an electrical vehicle (EV) that consist of two Three-phase squirel-cage induction motors (IM) that permit the drive of the two front driving wheels. The two motors are controlled using the Predictive Torque Control (PTC) method; A technique based on the next step prediction and evaluation of the electromagnetic torque and stator flux In a cost function in order to determinate the inverter switching vector that minimize the error between references and predicted values. PTC is what we tried to underline in this paper, so we explain below the principle of the method; and the system mathematical description is provided. An electronic differential is applied on the system to control independently the speed of the two wheels at different operating conditions in order to characterize the driving wheel system behavior, the robustness in steady state and in transient state.

This paper analyzed two controllers with the view to improve the overall control of an antenna azimuth position. Frequency ranges were utilized for the PID controller in the system; while Ziegler-Nichols was used to tune the PID parameter gains. A state feedback controller was formulated from the state-space equation and pole-placements were adopted to ensure the model design complied with the specifications to meet transient response. MATLAB Simulink platform was used for the system simulation. The system response for both the two controllers were analyzed and compared to ascertain the best controller with best azimuth positioning for the antenna. It was observed that state-feedback controller provided the best azimuth positioning control with a little settling time, some value of overshoot and no steady-state error is detected.

Combining multiple classifiers is considered as a general solution for classification tasks. However, there are two problems in combining multiple classifiers: constructing a diverse classifier ensemble; and, constructing an appropriate combiner. In this study, an improved multiple classifier combination scheme is propose. A diverse classifier ensemble is constructed by training them with different feature set partitions. The ant system-based algorithm is used to form the optimal feature set partitions. Weighted voting is used to combine the classifiers’ outputs by considering the strength of the classifiers prior to voting. Experiments were carried out using k-NN ensembles on benchmark datasets from the University of California, Irvine, to evaluate the credibility of the proposed method. Experimental results showed that the proposed method has successfully constructed better k-NN ensembles. Further more the proposed method can be used to develop other multiple classifier systems.

Conservation of the energy is one of the main design issues in wireless sensor networks. The limited battery power of each sensor node is a challenging task in deploying this type of network. The challenge is crucial in reliable wireless network when implementing efficient error correcting scheme with energy consuming routing protocol. In this work, we investigated the energy performance of LDPC code in multi-hop wireless sensor network. We proposed a model of two base stations to prolong the lifetime and build a reliable and energy-efficient network. Through performed MATLAB simulations, we examine the energy effectiveness of multiple base stations model on reliable wireless sensor network performance in different network dimensions.

Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) is a new waveform candidate in the visible light communication system (VLC). FBMC is a distinctive kind of multi-carrier modulation that can be regarded as an alternative to orthogonal frequency Division Multicarrier (OFDM) with CP (cyclic prefix). DCO-FBMC (DC-bias optical FBMC) has recently been used in VLC, because it overcomes all defects in the optical-OFDM system and has high spectral efficiency. but at the same time the traditional DCO-FBMC suffers from high complexity due to the use of Hermitian Symmetry for real signal, by using 2N-point subcarrier IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transformer) in the modulator, and the output is N-point subcarrier FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) in the demodulator. In this paper, for the first time, the possibility of minimizing complexity and generating a real signal without the use of Hermitian Symmetry or any other technique has been verified. The proposed technology provides 50% of the size of the IFFT / FFT and this results in a significant reduction in power consumption and occupied chip area.
