Abstract

Security is the rising concern of the wireless network as there are various forms of reonfigurable network that is arised from it. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is one such example that is found to be an integral part of cyber-physical system in upcoming times. After reviewing the existing system, it can be seen that there are less dominant and robust solutions towards mitigating the threats of upcoming applications of WSN. Therefore, this paper introduces a simple and cost-effective modelling of a security system that offers security by ensuring secure selection of clusterhead during the data aggregation process in WSN. The proposed system also makes construct a rule-set in order to learn the nature of the communication iin order to have a discrete knowledge about the intensity of adversaries. With an aid of simulation-based approach over MEMSIC nodes, the proposed system was proven to offer reduced energy consumption with good data delivery performance in contrast to existing approach.

Abstract

Closed-loop routing in flying ad hoc networks (FANET) arises as a result of the quick changes of communication links and topology. As such, causing link breakage during information dissemination. This paper proposed a destination path flow model to improve the communication link in FANET. The models utilized Smell Agent Optimization and Particle Swarm Optimization algorithms in managing link establishment between communicating nodes. The modeled scenario depicts the practical application of FANET in media and sports coverage where only one vendor is given the license for live coverage and must relay to other vendors. Three different scenarios using both optimization Algorithms were presented. From the result obtained, the SAO optimizes the bandwidth costs much better than PSO with a percentage improvement of 10.46%, 4.04% and 3.66% with respect to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd scenarios respectively. In the case of communication delay between the FANET nodes, the PSO has a much better communication delay over SAO with percentage improvement of 40.89%, 50.26% and 68.85% in the first, second and third scenarios respectively.

Abstract

The need for tuning the PI controller is to improve its performance metrics such as rise time, settling time and overshoot. This paper proposed the Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) tuning method of a Proportional Integral (PI) controller for fixed speed Wind Turbine. The objective is to overcome the limitations in using the PSO and GA tuning methods for tuning the PI controller, such as quick convergence occurring too soon into a local optimum, and the controller step input response. The GWO, the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and the Genetic Algorithm (GA) tuning methods were implemented in the Matlab 2016b to search the optimal gains of the Proportional and Integral controller through minimization of the objective function. A comparison was made between the results obtained from the GWO tuning method against PSO and GA tuning techniques. The GWO computed the smallest value of the objective function minimized. It exhibited faster convergence and better time response specification compared to other methods. These and more performance indicators show the superiority of the GWO tuning method.

Abstract

This paper develops the cipher design approach based on the use of data-dependent operations (DDOs). A new class of DDO based on the advanced controlled elements (CEs) is introduced, which is proven well suited to hardware implementations for FPGA devices. To increase the hardware implementation efficiency of block ciphers, while using contemporary FPGA devices there is proposed an approach to synthesis of fast block ciphers, which uses the substitution-permutation network constructed on the basis of the controlled elements F2/4 implementing the 2 x 2 substitutions under control of the four-bit vector. There are proposed criteria for selecting elements F2/4 and results on investigating their main cryptographic properties. It is designed a new fast 128-bit block cipher MM-128 that uses the elements F2/4 as elementary building block. The cipher possesses higher performance and requires less hardware resources for its implementation on the bases of FPGA devices than the known block ciphers. There are presented result on differential analysis of the cipher MM-128

Abstract

This paper described in detail the chromatic homogeneity and luminous flux influences in producing better quality white LED devices with various phosphor layers (MCW-LEDs). The method is to let Eu2+-activated strontium–barium silicate (SrBaSiO4:Eu2+) mixed with their phosphor compounding, which results in notable impact on lighting performance. The increase in concentration of yellow-green-emitting SrBaSiO4:Eu2+ phosphor also promotes the color performance and lumen output of WLED devices at high correlated color temperature around 8500K. This is the first time this approach is applied and it results can be utilized for better understanding of optical properties interaction with phosphor materials. Although SrBaSiO4:Eu2+ receives many positive responses, we still need to limit it concentration for high SrBaSiO4:Eu2+ concentration is detrimental to CQS. The appropriate choice of concentration and size of SrBaSiO4:Eu2+ is the principal factor to decide the performance of MCW-LEDs.

Abstract

Due to the absence of energy transmission lines connected to the water pumping sites in remote areas, problems related to the electrical power outages and the environmental degradation caused by fossil fuel. For this one of the most conceived solutions is the photovoltaic water pumping technology which has the advantage of being sustainable and respectful of the environment to supply water to rural areas. To ensure the need of water, especially for domestic use and small communities, in this article, the photovoltaic energy system for autonomous water pumping using the induction motor was presented, particularly adapted to the isolated regions. Pumping system consists of four photovoltaic (PV) panels, boost converter, inverter, induction motor, centrifugal pump and a storage tank. In this study, the output power of a PV solar cell is fully used by proposing the P&O algorithm, where it is used to follow a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique. The recommended system is designed, modeled and simulated on the MATLAB/Simulink platform. The efficiency of the proposed algorithm is observed with variable solar sunshine.

Abstract

The goal of this project is to develop a complete, fully detailed 3D interactive model of the human body and systems in the human body, and allow the user to interacts in 3D with all the elements of that system, to teach students about human anatomy. Some organs, which contain a lot of details about a particular anatomy, need to be accurately and fully described in minute detail, such as the brain, lungs, liver and heart. These organs are need have all the detailed descriptions of the medical information needed to learn how to do surgery on them, and should allow the user to add careful and precise marking to indicate the operative landmarks on the surgery location. Adding so many different items of information is challenging when the area to which the information needs to be attached is very detailed and overlaps with all kinds of other medical information related to the area. Existing methods to tag areas was not allowing us sufficient locations to attach the information to. Our solution combines a variety of tagging methods, which use the marking method by selecting the RGB color area that is drawn in the texture, on the complex 3D object structure. Then, it relies on those RGB color codes to tag IDs and create relational tables that store the related information about the specific areas of the anatomy. With this method of marking, it is possible to use the entire set of color values (R, G, B) to identify a set of anatomic regions, and this also makes it possible to define multiple overlapping regions.

Abstract

The services of the Video on Demand (VoD) are currently based on the developments of the technology of the digital video and the network’s high speed. The files of the video are retrieved from many viewers according to the permission, which is given by VoD services. The remote VoD servers conduct this access. A server permits the user to choose videos anywhere/anytime in order to enjoy a unified control of the video playback. In this paper, a novel adaptive method is produced in order to deliver various facilities of the VoD to all mobile nodes that are moving within several networks. This process is performed via mobility modules within the produced method since it applies a seamless playback technique for retrieving the facilities of the VoD through environments of heterogeneous networks. The main components comprise two servers, which are named as the GMF and the LMF. The performance of the simulation is tested for checking clients’ movements through different networks with different sizes and speeds, which are buffered in the storage. It is found to be proven from the results that the handoff latency has various types of rapidity. The method applies smooth connections and delivers various facilities of the VoD. Meantime, the mobile device transfers through different networks. This implies that the system transports video segments easily without encountering any notable effects. In the experimental analysis for the Slow movements mobile node handoff latency (8 Km/hour or 4 m/s) ,the mobile device’s speed reaches 4m/s, the delay time ranges from 1 to 1.2 seconds in the proposed system, while the MobiVoD system ranges from 1.1 to 1.5. In the proposed technique reaches 1.1026 seconds forming the required time of a mobile device that is switching from a single network to its adjacent one. while the handoff termination average in the MobiVoD reaches 1.3098 seconds. Medium movement mobile node handoff latency (21 Km/ hour or 8 m/s) The average handoff time for the proposed system reaches 1.1057 seconds where this implies that this technique can seamlessly provide several segments of a video segments regardless of any encountered problems. while the average handoff time for the MobiVoD reaches 1.53006623 seconds. Furthermore, Fast movement mobile node handoff latency (390 Km/ hour or 20 m/s). The average time latency of the proposed technique reaches 1.0964 seconds, while the MobiVoD System reaches to 1.668225 seconds.
