Abstract

This research explains that among the Muslim entrepreneur of Pekalongan City, the role of trust as an output of neuro-economic process has taken a part in forming their entrepreneur mentality. The dimension of their entrepreneur mentality includes their commitment to business (commitment to chance, sources, and appearing risk), creative behavior (thinking new thing and doing new thing or create the new and different thing), confidence, responsibility, and positive thinking. This research used qualitative approach based on post-positivistic paradigm, and symbolic interactionism theory to explain. Content analysis-philosophy was used to analyze the answers of interviewee, so that the result of this research is philosophical-analytical-holistic.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a metacognition assessment for students of IPA teacher candidates through problem-based learning. Subjects tested in this study were 30 students in the Department Tadris IPA IAIN Salatiga using one group pretest-posttest design. Assessment isdeveloped based on metacognition indicators including an essay test assessment, performance assessment, assessment of attitudes and self assessment. The result of essay test indicates an increase in the ability of metacognition in general by the N-gain of 0.5 (medium category) where as performances and attitudes assessment lie in the good and excellent categories, while the self-assessment shows improvement results with N-gain of 0:45 (medium category). Overall, problem-based learning enhances the skills of metacognition that is "evaluation" on students of IPA teacher candidates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menyusun karya tulis skripsi. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang sedang dalam proses menyelesaikan penelitian karya ilmiah skripsi dari Jurusan Tarbiyah program studi Pendidikan Agama Islam, dan Jurusan Syariah program studi al Ahwalus Sakhsiyah. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan menentukan anggota sampel yang dipilih secara khusus berdasarkan tujuan penelitian. Dengan teknik ini aspek terwakilinya sampel tidak menjadi persyaratan. Penelitian ini menggali informasi tentang kesulitan mahasiswa, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi, dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kesulitan penelitian. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui instrumen angket dan wawancara yang dipergunakan untuk menelusuri kesulitan, faktor-faktor, dan upaya apa saja yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam melakukan penelitian karya tulis ilmiah skripsi. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Teknik Analisis Deskriptif.

Abstract

Hisab dan rukyat, hakikatnya, adalah cara untuk mengetahui pergantian bulan. Kajian ini memperlihatkan beberapa temuan. Pertama, korelasi antara hadis Kuraib dan terjadinya perbedaan penetapan awal Ramadan, Syawal, dan Dzul Hijjah di Indonesia. Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia telah menetapkan bahwa Indonesia secara keseluruhan menjadi satu wilayah hukum (wilayatul hukmi). Kedua, tentang keberhasilan rukyat al-hilal di satu kawasan yang diberlakukan bagi  kawasan lain di muka bumi. Perlu diketahui bersama bahwa visibilitas pertama hilal tidak meliputi seluruh muka bumi pada hari yang sama, melainkan membelahnya menjadi dua bagian: (1) bagian sebelah Barat yang dapat melihat hilal dan (2) bagian sebelah Timur yang tidak dapat melihat hilal.

Abstract

This sociolegal research was aimed to understrand the judge’s comprehension toward mediation in private lawsuit procession. This comprehension was so urgent in order to understand how pragmatism practice could infiltrate in law court. To do so, I used symbolic interaction approach and model to analyze the data, that snowball-purposively gathered from the Judges. The locus of this study located in Pekalongan District Court (Pengadilan Negeri). The study showed some divergences opinion among judges in understanding the laws/norms/statutes of mediation both, textually and contextually (as they applied the text of norm in their cases). So, it effected on the implementation of enforcement and made them tend to pragmatic in doing mediation as formalistic-routine procedure. The roots of this attitude came from internally factors such pragmatism itself and externally ones, pragmatism among the parties of lawsuit and their advocaats.

Abstract

Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) is a microfinance institution that operates based on Islamic principles (Islam). There are two main divisions of the institution, as a business base that is as Baitul Maal and as Baitul Tamwil. The first division related to social mission, namely as zakat management institutions, infaq, endowments, charity, and others, while the second division is engaged in the business (profit). This paper further review of Baitul Maal position/status at BMT, then discussed how the management of funds by the agency. Facts on the ground indicate that there is BMT has run Baitul Maal, however many do not run it.

Abstract

Even though character building as an autonomous subject among student does not exist in secondary school, Islamic Education (PAI), as one of the subjects in school related to character building, has to play its role in building students’ character. This study aims to reveal the problems related to PAI learning process in SMP 3 and its role in building students’ noble character. This study was qualitative using observational case studies. The data were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and documents and were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques with the inductive approach. The documents were such legal decisions of officials in Educational Ministry, the syllabi, curriculums, and teaching planning (RPP). The result shows that PAI learning has an important role in building students’ noble character if it is supported by competent lecturers, good inputs, adequate materials, and good processes. Character building learning was taught integrated and aimed to shape noble character among the students of SMP 3 Pekalongan. It was accommodated in PAI learning, citizenship learning and local contain subject, such as Javanese language and Cookery Learning. Unfortunately, the sustainability and comprehensiveness of character building learning in PAI curriculum were not seriously attended. Nevertheless, they were taught integrated in pilot project program and evaluated gradually and comprehensively.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the capability of certified teachers of Islamic elementary school located in Pekalongan City in preparing lesson plan. Fourteen informants -- consist of 6 government teachers and 8 non-government teachers -- were investigated. The data were taken from the lesson plan documents prepared by them and then followed up with an interview. The results showed that: (1) there are many teachers who have not been able to develop their own learning devices, and (2) there are still very much in error that occurred in the lesson plan prepared by them. There are several constraints faced by them. They are: (1) their knowledge is still lack, their innovation and creativity were not maximized; (2) the pattern of development for them had not touched their academic aspect; (3) the orientation of the supervisions which only leaded to the administrative aspects; and (4) their independence lack in preparing learning device, which is part of the curriculum.

Abstract

Amar ma’ruf nahi munkar merupakan ajaran pokok agama Islam. Namun  dalam praktiknya seringkali tidak sesuai lagi dengan apa yang diajarkan oleh agama itu sendiri.Bahkan menimbulkan kesan bahwa agama mengajarkan kekerasan. Hal ini beralasan ketika akhir-akhir ini kita memperhatikan apa yang dilakukan oleh kelompok-kelompok tertentu yang mengatasnamakan agama. Oleh karena itu, kajian ulang terhadap hadits yang menjelaskan tentang amar ma’ruf nahi munkar sangat mendesak untuk dilakukan demi mengembalikan pemaknaan yang benar terhadap praktik amar ma’ruf nahi munkar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif penomenologi yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi guru-guru madrasah Ibtidaiyah yang ada di Kota Pekalongan dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Data dikumpulkan dengan interview mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang dikemukakan oleh Miles dan Hubermen. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa semua informan yakin bahwa guru adalah profesi yang berkah. Oleh karena itu, motivasi mereka menjadi guru adalah memperoleh berkah. Meskipun demikian, mereka juga sangat berharap memperoleh gaji (berkat) yang cukup dari profesinya. Dengan demikian, keyakinan adanya berkah dan harapan memperoleh berkat yang cukup dari profesi yang ditekuni harus ada pada diri setiap guru agar mereka terdorong untuk melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik.
