Abstract

Riset ini bertujuan menggambarkan secara singkat dinamika organisasi tarekat di Indonesia sejak adanya Jam’iyyah Ahl al-Thariqah al-Mu’tabarah al-Indonesi (JATMI, 1957)  dan Jam’iyyah al-Thariqah al-Mu’tabarah al-Nahdliyah (JATMAN, 1979) di Jawa, yang disusul dengan berdirinya Dewan Ulama Tarekat Indonesia di Solok Sumatera Barat (2016). Metode riset ini adalah telaah pustaka dengan menggunakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil riset menunjukkan, pertama, bahwa kriteria kemuktabarahan tarekat dibutuhkan dalam keorganisasian tarekat. Temuan kedua menunjukkan bahwa organisasi tasawuf (tarekat) Nusantara JATMI tahun 1957 dimotori oleh Tarekat Qadiriyah wa Naqsyabandiyah (TQN). Sementara itu, konflik internal antar tokoh Jatmi maka menyebabkan didirikannya lembaga baru dengan muatan gerakan serupa yakni JATMAN pada 20 Rabiul Awal 1337 H/10 Oktober 1985 M di Tegalrejo, Magelang, Jawa Tengah. Temuan ketiga menunjukkan bahwa dinamika organisasi tersebut juga memberi warna pada kelembagaan ulama di Indonesia.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the transformation of Qur’anic verses into local magical spells in the archipelago. This kind of phenomenon is one of the native’s reception of the Qur’an in the light of occultism, namely the belief in supernatural forces. Started with the preliminary sketch on the occultism in the archipelago, this article explores particularly some representative incantations from Banjarese, Javanese-Using, and Sundanese-Priangan. Modes of transformation and reception as represented in the selected incantations are the major discussion here. The findings lead to the unique picture on how the Qur’anic verses were transformed into several incantations with various modes. It finally represents one of the intersection of Islamic spectrums and local genius in the archipelago.

Abstract

Calculation of moon rotation and seeing crescent often give different result of the condition and position of the crescent. This makes many scholars have different opinion of the calculation of moon rotation and seeing crescent role in deciding the first date of Islamic month. Is only the calculation of moon rotation qualified? Or is only the seeing crescent qualified? Or the both are qualified? However, the opinion to using the both, even though the result is different, is better than using only one of them. It is because by using the both, the condition and position of the crescent can be made sure, so that the causal factor of different result can be certain. This article tries to promote to use the both in deciding the first date of Islamic month. The calculation of moon rotation is only an instrument to make sure that seeing crescent can be done accurately.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang metode yang digunakan Nabi SAW dalam menjalankan dakwah Islam kepada umat agama lain, yaitu kaum Musyrik dan Ahli Kitab (Yahudi dan Nasrani), baik pada periode Mekah maupun Madinah. Ayatayat al-Quran, kitab tafsir dan literatur-literatur yang mengungkap sejarah perjalanan dakwah Nabi dijadikan rujukan dalam tulisan ini. Hal yang dapat disimpulkan tentang metode dakwah yang digunakan Nabi meliputi: (1) metode dialog; (2) metode kisah; dan (3) metode analogi. Metode-metode tersebut diterapkan Nabi melalui nilai akhlak dalam berdakwah. Nilai ini menjadi kunci utama keberhasilan dalam mendakwahkan Islam kepada masyarakat multikultural. Karena itulah, setiap penyeru ajaran Islam (da'i) dalam konteks kehidupan masyarakat multi agama saat ini senantiasa menjadikan cara dakwah Nabi sebagai uswah.

Abstract

The emergence of discovery in science is always followed by two attitudes: (1) ethical, the development of science is accord with ethical values and benefit; and (2) free values, since its emergence, science is meant to develop itself. The former is promoted by pragmatism group viewing that science is not only to find the truth, but also benefit human life to solve many problems in their life. The latter, on the other hand, is promoted by puritan-elite group viewing that the aim of science is to find the truth and the objective explanation of everything. Therefore, science cannot submit to other authority out of itself. To bridge these two tendencies, the synthesis understanding of the context of discovery and the context of justification wherein the science emerges and develops is needed.

Abstract

Salah satu persoalan yang muncul dalam pengelolaankeuangan syari’ah adalah model tata kelola (manajemen) yangdigunakan masih sama dengan manajemen lembaga keuangankonvensional pada umumnya. Oleh karena itu diperlukan inovasi dalampengelolaannya. Implementasi Total Quality Management (TQM)pada lembaga keuangan syariah diharapkan mampu meningkatkankinerja dan kualitas lembaga tersebut. Implementasi TQM padalembaga keuangan syari’ah dititikberatkan pada proses perbaikanterus-menerus dengan memegang teguh nilai-nilai syari’ah. Denganimplementasi tersebut lembaga keuangan syari’ah lebih mengedepankanmutu/kualitas daripada persoalan agama.One of the problems appearing in Islamic finance management isthat the management system used by the Islamic finance institutionsis the same as the conventional ones. Therefore, it is necessary tomake innovation in Islamic finance management. The implementationof Total Quality Management (TQM) in Islamic finance institutionsis expected be able to improve their performance and quality. Thisimplementation is focused on continuous repairing process by holdingon shari’a values. By this implementation, the Islamic financeinstitutions will focus on quality more than religious matter.

Abstract

Majelis Duha Bantul is a community that consistly performs Duha prayer in specific and unique style; by performing it collectively, in certainly days, etc. The major question in this research is how they interpretate the duha prayer that they commit? This research is field research with the descriptive, qualitative and analitic genre by applying etnographical approach and the sociology of knowledge theory, and applying the interview and observation as the method. This result of this research reveal three meaning of the duha ritual in the perspective of majelis duha Bantul: (1) objective meaning that is the meaning of the Duha Prayer which majelis duha Bantul understood from the hadis that suggesting the duha prayer. (2) expressive meaning which personally diverse, several person interpretate duha prayer as the effort to attain the physical and mental health, some men religiously interpretate that duha prayer is one of many ways to reach the wordliness success and the hereafter happiness, etc. (3) documenter meaning that show the duha prayer as the ritual based on the hadis advice but in very fact this ritual is disputed still by some scholars; by commiting the duha prayer it means they indentified them self as the community that  appraise the duha prayer collectively is the sunah ritual. And finally this duha ritual subconsciously become the living hadis ritual it self.Keyword: Duha Prayer, majelis Dhuha Bantul, living hadith, sosiology of knowledge AbstrakMajelis Dhuha Bantul merupakan sebuah komunitas yang secara konsisten melaksanakan salat Duha dengan model yang khas dan unik; dilakukan bersama, di hari ternentu dan sebagainya. Pertanyaannya kemudian, bagaimana pemaknaan salat Duha yang dilakukan oleh komunitas tersebut? Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang bersifat diskriptif, kualitatif dan analitik dengan pendekatan etnografi dan menggunakan teori sosiology of knowledge, dengan metode wawancara, observasi, interview dan sebagainya. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemaknaan tentang salat Duha yang diambil berdasarkan informasi dari komunitas tersebut dapat dikategorikan menjadi tiga macam: (1) makna objektif yakni salat Duha yang dilaksanakan oleh Majelis ini berangkat dari pemahaman mereka terhadap teks-teks normatif yakni hadis-hadis wasiat tentang salat Duha. (2) Makna ekpresif (personal) cukup beragam; ada yang memaknai sebagai upaya mendapat kesehatan fisik maupun psikis, meningkatkan sikap religius pelaku, mendapatkan kesuksesan dunia-akhirat dan sebagainya. (3) Makna dokumenter; pada dasarnya praktik tersebut berdasarkan teks-teks hadis yang pada kenyataannya masih diperselisihkan oleh para ulama; dengan memeraktikkan salat Duha, berarti mereka mengidentifikasikan diri dengan kelompok yang menilainya sebagai ritual sunah. Pada gilirannya, tanpa mereka sadari praktik ini pun menjadi salah satu bentuk living hadis.Kata kunci: salat Duha, majelis Dhuha Bantul, living hadis, sosiology knowledge.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas tentang bagaimana pesantren tampil sebagai pelopor peradaban Islam dunia melalui tradisi tulis menulis, turats, sikap toleran dan moderat. Peneliti menjabarkan beberapa hasil temuan berikut: 1) Pesantren berperan penting dalam membentuk peradaban Islam dunia melalui tradisi tulis menulis, menjaga turats, bersikap toleran dan moderat. 2) tradisi tulis menulis yang lahir dari dunia pesantren selama ini telah membentuk peradaban Islam dunia melalui peran para ulama dan kiyai pesantren. Karyakarya mereka baik dalam bahasa Arab, Inggris, Jerman dan lainlain telah dikenal luas dalam dunia akademik internasional. 3) Tradisi dalam bentuk bersikap toleran dan moderat di dunia pesantren juga mampu mewarnai peradaban Islam dunia, sebab tradisi-tradisi pesantren yang bercorak Islami, moderat dan teloran dapat mengurai terjadinya pertikaian dan permusuhan di masyarakat yang mengatasnamakan Islam dan gerakan-gerakan keagamaan.

Abstract

“Fundamentalism is identical with violence”, this stereotype is conserved by the West for centuries. Islamic fundamentalism is a cause of many violence, suicidal bomb, murder, war, and terrorism that is strengthened by holy war (jihad) doctrine. One of these movement foundations is verses of the Quran and Hadith about war. This paper is not meant to correct or criticize those Quranic verses or Hadith, but it is meant to criticize the interpretation those Quranic verses or Hadith. In this context, de-radicalization of that interpretation becomes very significant because it is expected that it can give solution for the strained situation happening in the center of terrorism issues that discredit Islam.

Abstract

Having family by marriage is sunnatullah for all the creatures in the world. In human life, family just can be formed by marriage, that is a holy connection between a man and a woman. Religion and moral state that marriage is the only right way to release the sexual desire honorable to get good generation. Because of that, sex without married, live together without married, and having sex with the same gender is a wrong behavior, out of rule, and contrary to compulsary state (fitrah) as human, and it is forbidden by religion. In order to have a happy and harmony family, life in family has to based on love, sincerity, and  worship, not because of pressure or just looking for the desire of sex. Because of that, the morality  on the family life has to be understood and done by all members in family (espcially husband and wife), so that, they can create a happy and prosperous family (sakinah mawadah wa rahmah).
