The purpose of this research is to determine the level of protein stage that gives the best results against the metabolizable energy of Local Chickens. The results of this research are expected can be a consideration and information about the differences effect of the dietary protein provision to the digestibility of metabolizable energy in Local Chicken, especially in the "New" strain of Local Chickens. This research was conducted at the Field Laboratory of Animal Husbandry, University of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi, Malang and at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Feed, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, the University of Brawijaya in January 2014 until February 2014. The method that used in this research was the biological experimental method and the materials that used are the local chicken which the result of cross-breeding between Kedu's chicken and Male Bangkok's chicken, with a number of materials are 20 materials and the each weight are 800 grams. The conclusion of this research shows that the value of Crude Protein (PK) is proportional to the metabolic energy's value, which is in this research shows that the lower Crude Protein value gives impact on the degradation of metabolizable energy. The metabolizable energy in the P2 treatment provides the best metabolizable energy in the Local Chicken. So it may be advisable to conduct the further research using the same objects and the studies are more diverse, given the object of the research is the "New" strain of Local Chicken.

Retaining wall serves to hold the soil and prevent it from sliding danger. Either as a result of rain load, heavy soil itself, also a result of the load that works on it. Nowadays, construction of retaining wall is very often used in civil works construction of a retaining wall even if it turns out the land is long enough known in the world. Landslide that occurred along the River Konto at Abdul Manan Wijaya Street Pujon caused by the dimensions of the retaining wall is too small so unstable to the safety factor (SF), the value of the safety factor in the review is a safety factor to bearing capacity , shear forces and stability against roll style. The purpose of this research is to analyze the cause of the collapse of the retaining wall and re plan retaining wall that had collapsed. The unstable retaining wall caused by shear force that is 1.28 < 1.5 (unsafe). The replan of the retaining wall by gravity type retaining wall with the rear side of upright because of this type is suitable for a high retaining wall. Dimensional stability toward sliding wall: 1.67 > 1.5 (safe) and stable toward the bolsters: 3.9 > 1.5 (safe).

Tobacco still in mainstay of farmers, particularly in dry area, depleted of nutritions with irrigation rainfed. Nicotine levels can depressed through the implementation of cultivation techniques such as assembling new varieties of low-nicotine, choose a type of leaf tobacco and select the appropriate position on the stem, use limited of nitrogen fertilizers, decreased of plant populations, without trim and discard axillary buds and others. Currently, the design of cigarettes needs to be studied closely as the basis for a policies was still in order. Utilization of smoke filter, porous paper, and potential blooming tobacco need to be optimize to produce smoke-free nicotine without changing the quality. While this effort may cultivated, it may impact in loss productivity and sales value. Moreover, natural resources use have not equally optimal due to suppress the levels of nicotine tobacco

Porang is a commodity crops are included in the family Araceae and the bush plants (herbs) with a single bulb in the ground. Porang grow in the forest because it requires only 50-60 percent of solar radiation. Porang can grow well in organic soil and dry soils with pH 6-7. For the purposes of the development porang required information about land suitability map. One of the constraints in preparing the land suitability map porang, is the unavailability of land requirements porang. Currently available is a land requirement of iles-iles. The purpose of this study was to develop land requirements porang, in order to work in the land suitability evaluation porang no longer use land requirements iles-iles. The research location is KPH Nganjuk region. The research was conducted in January to May 2012. The primary data obtained from field observation, while secondary data obtained from the literature, maps, and interviews with farmers and Perum Perhutani KPH Nganjuk employee. At every SPL was observed physical condition and taking soil samples. Not all parameters of land requirements Iles - iles can be used to evaluate the suitability of Porang. Parameter requirements Iles - iles that can be used to evaluate the Porang is coarse material, CEC, salinity, erosion, flood hazards, land preparation, dry months, C-organic. Proposed requirements for crop land porang as shown in Appendix 1

anana is a fruit that is abundant potential, In the city of Malang many processed food products such as banana chips, peanut butter and fried bananas. It results in a potential banana skin that has been utilized. To provide more benefits for the banana skin, it needs to be further processed into semi-finished products such as flour. Potential banana skin made of flour is very appropriate, because it contains 18.50% polysaccharides. This study aims to determine the concentration of starch and sodium metabisulfite banana peel right in edible coating to extend the shelf life of peeled barking. This study is to assess changes in quality of bark peeled coated starchcontaining anti-browning during storage. The research methods include the extraction of starch from banana skin and coating fruits with starch Salacca zalacca peeled banana skin anti enzymatic browning. Also the characterization of quality changes during storage barking Salacca zalacca peel. Research using a completely randomized design (CRD) are arranged with 2 factors. The first factor is starch banana peel which consists of 3 levels and the second factor namely Na-metabisulfite which consists of 3 levels with 3 replications. The results showed that the peel fruits Salacca zalacca edible coated with a coating giving the best average in all observation parameters namely water content (83.71%), acidity (0.28%), vitamin C (4:53%), texture (246.225 N)

Aims of this research is to evaluate relation land suitable class by using class criterion according to different farm to production, rendemen and advantage of sugarcane crop. Criterion of land suitability perceived to cover climate, condition of root, retention of nutrion, availibility of virgin, condition of surface of farm with using two criterion is Djaenuddin et al. (2003) and FAO (1983). The result indicate that assessment of land sustainability use criterion of Djaenudin et al. ( 2003) yielded by correspondence among physical class, class produce and class of rendemen equal to 33,3 gratuity. While advantage class counted 41,6 gratuity good match for physical class but jar with with class produce and also rendemen. Accumulatively advantage class tend to compared to lower of physical class, class produce and advantage class. Assessment of land suitability use criterion of FAO (1983) at yielded by correspondence among physical class, class produce and class of rendemen equal to 8,3 gratuity. Advantage class counted 66,6 gratuity good match for physical class but jar with with class produce and also rendemen. Incompatible all result of assessment of class according to sugar cane crop farm among physical class, production class, class of rendemen advantage class and at set of usage of farm because of difference in stipulating of criterion according to and decision making in classification according to farm. Usage of farm quality as factor influencing and production of rendemen not yet complete included as farm criterion at Djaenuddin et al. ( 2003) and also FAO ( 1983)

Negative impacts of dust-mount volcanic eruption to the production and damages of the surrounding plantation have been understood. However, its environmentally friendly mitigation effort has been poorly investigated. Application of organic fertilizer has been reported to be able to recover crop’s ecosystem balance, especially through insect’s community balance. Study on the effect of organic fertilizer application on insect visitation pattern at apple plantation following dust volcanic eruption of Mount Kelud was assessed at Junggo village, Malang regency, from January to April 2015. Treatments consisted of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) at the rate of 2 cc/lt applied at blooming and fruiting seasons (LOF flower and LOF fruit) and controls. Sample size was 6plants. Liquid orgamicfertilizer were applied 10 times; five times during flowering time and the remaining five at fruiting time. Observation was made four days after application at 4 period intervals, namely, 0.7.00-08.00; 09.00-10.00; 12.00-13.00 and 15.00-16.00. Parametersobserved include insect diversity, abundance, and composition. Results showed that application of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) significantly affected the insect visitation pattern. LOF at flowering time showed the highest diversity index. Insect diversity consisted of 14 families. The highest composition shown by the pollinator and among the pollinators, the Tabanidae was the most importance. These finding signify that Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) has been proven as one of the potential mitigation effort that environmentally friendly
