Abstract

This research is aimed at: (i) identifying the difference of students’ activity at grade IX of SMPN 1 Sungguminasa who were taught using cooperative learning type the power of two and type make a match (ii) finding the difference of  students’ response at grade IX of SMPN 1 Sungguminasa who were taught by using cooperative learning of type the power of two and type make a match (iii) discovering the difference of students’ learning outcome at grade IX of SMPN 1 Sungguminasa who were taught by using cooperative learning of type the power of two and type make a match. Type of this research is quasi experiment that was conducted at SMPN 1 Sungguminasa. There were two group of experiment involved on this research; those are group experiment I who were taught by using cooperative learning type of the power of two and group experiment II who were taught by using cooperative learning type make a match. Instrument of the research include observation sheet of activities to know the students’ activities, questionnaire to discover students’ response on the learning activities, learning outcomes test to obtain data the learning outcomes of the subject Human Survival. The data were than analyzed descriptively and inferentially (t-test with α = 0.05) by the assist of SPSS 15.0 for windows. The result indicates that: (i) there is no significant difference between activities of students who were taught by using cooperative learning type the power of two and type make a match, (ii) there is no significant difference between responses of students who were taught by using cooperative learning type the power of two and type make a match, and (iii) there is no significant difference between learning outcomes of  students who were taught by using cooperative learning type the power of two and type make a match.

Abstract

This study aimed at examining (1) significant correlation of pedagogy competence of Biology teacher toward student’s learning result both directly and indirectly through student’ learning motivation. (2) significant correlation between pedagogy competence of Biology teachers and students’ learning motivation; (3) significant correlation between pedagogy competence of Biology teachers and student’s learning result. This study is an ex-post facto. The population of the study were the entire students at SMAN in watampone of academic year 2013/2014. The samples were taken by employing random class technique with as many as 496 students. Data were collected through questionnaire and documentation. Data were analyzed using reggressin test and path analysis. The results of the study were (1) pedagogy competence gave influence directly to learning result with coefficient path (p) by 16.5%; whereas,it gave influence indirectly to learning motivation by 42.6% (2) there was correlation (p < 0.05) between pedagogy competence and students’ learning result on biology subject at SMAN in Watampone with coefficient (r) by 64.3%; (3) there was correlation (p < 0.05) between pedagogy competence and students’ learning motivation at SMAN in watampone with coefficient correlation (r) 64.1%;

Abstract

Inductive learning model is a learning model that has three phases, namely the formation of concepts, data interpretation and application of the principle. The influence of implementation inductive model in improving learning outcomes of grade X MIPA student at SMAN 1 Sungguminasa. The study is a quasi-experement with nonequivalent control group design. The population of the study was grade X MIPA students of the second semester of academic year 2016/2017 in SMAN 1 Sungguminasa. The results of the study reveal that the implementation of inductive model significant influence toward learning outcomes students.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the influence of reinforcement technique on student learning outcomes that aims to know (1) description of biology learning result of students of grade XI IPA of SMA Negeri 16 Makassar taught by applying reinforcement technique; (2) description of biology learning result of grade XI IPA student of SMA Negeri 16 Makassar taught without applying reinforcement technique and (3) influence of reinforcement technique toward biology student learning result of class XI IPA SMA 16  Makassar. This research is kind of Quasi Experimental Reserch research with Pretest-Postest Control Group Design Design research. The population of this study is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 16 Makassar, amounting to 252 students consisting of class XI IPA1 up to XI IPA7. The sample in this research is class XI IPA4 as control class which amounted to 36 people and student class XI IPA7 as experiment class which amounted to 36 people. Data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of descriptive analysis of learning outcomes for the control class has an average value of 54.28. While the results of descriptive analysis of experimental class learning results have an average value of 75.17. Based on the classification of student learning outcomes, the average value of the control class is in the range of values 40-54 with low category whereas the average value of the experimental class is in the range of values of 75-89 with high category. Based on the result of hypothesis analysis by using t-test polled variance, tcount> ttable (10,631> 1,690) so Ho is rejected and H1 accepted. This means that there is influence of reinforcement techniques on student biology learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study was a classroom action research. This study employed learning media of powerpoint. This media provided five facilities such as (1) design template, that can be applied for presentation one of which an animation, (2) custom show, that a file of presentation can be created in several versions, (3) office art, that provided a special graphic, (4) graphic file format, that can save picture file, and (5) delivering presentation, that provided easier presentation in any ways. The learning media was provided to improve students’ learning motivation which was expected to improve students’ activity and students’ learning achievement.The goal of this study was to examine the effectiveness of learning Biology of high school student trough the learning media of powerpoint. The objectives of this study were to examine (1) the effectiveness of the learning media of powerpoint through the score of learning motivation of Biology of high school students at class XI IPA 3 SMAN 1 Pangkajene, (2) the effectiveness of learning media of powerpoint through the observation of learning activity of Biology of high school students at class XI IPA 3 SMAN 1 Pangkajene, and (3) the effectiveness of learning media of powerpoint through the learning achievement of Biology of high school students at class XI IPA 3 SMAN 1 Pangkajene.The result of this study revealed that (1) students’ learning motivation was improved viewed from the indicator of achievement of students’ motivation after the treatment where statistically it was obtained 100% students was in high category, (2) the learning media of powerpoint improved students’ learning activity, and (3) students’ learning achievement of Biology at class XI IPA 3 SMAN 1 Pangkajene was improved. Those improvements can be seen from the average of evaluation test in cycle I which was 47,52 and in cycle II improved to 79,92. Moreover, the achievement of minimum mastery criteria (KKM) showed frecuenci 28 (87,5%) students obtained the score 75 the set KKM score which was.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the theories of biologism related to risky behavior, especially the behavior of drug abuse from biologists are especially biologists of growth and brain development. The method used is literature research. Based on the results of literature research found there are 3 biological theories that can explain the validity of drug abuse behavior that is 1) genetic theory, 2) the theory of metabolic imbalance, and 3) brain biological theory. The implications of the study are expected to give the understanding that the biological state of the individual can influence the validity of drug abuse behavior.

Abstract

This research discusses about learning methods Brain Based Learning (BBL) in the learning outcomes in the matter Coordination System in Class XI IPA MAN 3 Makassar. Purpose of research to the study of students in the subjects of biology using the Brain Based Learning assisted Brain Gym in the class XI MAN 3 Makassar, to determine learning outcomes Learners on the subjects of biology without using Brain Based Learning assisted Brain Gym in the class XI MAN 3 Makassar, and to determine whether there is an influence on the learning outcomes of students in the subjects of biology by using learning methods Brain Based learning (BBL) assisted Brain Gym in the class XI MAN 3 Makassar. The study population was all students of grade XI MAN 3 Makassar. The research sample is class XI IPA 1 (experiment I) and class XI IPA 5 (experiment II) each class of 20 students. The results of study revealed Brain Based Learning teaching methods that are in the very good category indicated by the average value of 83.6. The results of the analysis of hypothesis testing using t-test diperoles thit value = 10.25 and the value ttab = 2.09 with dk 38. Where the value of thit> ttab so H¬0 rejected, Ha is received, thus there are significant learning outcomes of students who are taught through learning methods Brain Based learning (BBL) aided Brain Gym on the material coordination system at grade XI MAN 3 Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine; 1) Development of professional competence of lecturer at Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar; 2) Lecturer Motivation at Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar; 3) Improving professional competence Lecturer Commitment to Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar, to improve professional competence. This research use case study approach. This research data source is 1. human element and 2. non human element, research instrument is researcher own function as a key instrument. Qualitative research data is narrative and data analysis techniques applied through three lines: 1. Data reduction, 2. Presentation of data, and 3. drawing conclusions. The validity of data is done four testing criteria, namely 1. Credibility, 2. Dependability, 3. Transferability, and 4. Confirmability.The research findings are; 1. Motivation model of lecturers who can improve their professional competence, that is because of the encouragement from within the lecturers and from outside the lecturers themselves. The encouragement from within the lecturer is the clarity of the lecturer's career in the structural position, as well as the functional position of the lecturer. While the encouragement from outside the lecturers who are very influential in terms of achievement and mastering professional competence is the Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and UG Teachers Alauddin Makassar. 2) The commitment model of a lecturer who can improve their professional competence is the dedication and service of the foundation of commitment. Therefore, to create a commitment of a lecturer to be synergy and intact buildings then the Dean of Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar must empower all lecturers, by involving lecturers in important decision making through Faculty senate. 3) Increasing the competence of professional lecturers will be beneficial to improve their professionalism in improving the quality of education. Therefore, the Quality Assurance Institution (LPM) is also considered to be very instrumental in increasing the professional competence of a lecturer. A lecturer needs to be equipped with new knowledge and diligence so that the lecturer can produce quality output
