Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mental model of students in learning the periodic system of elements using 3D representations. This research was conducted in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The research subjects were 36 students of class XB SMAN 54 Jakarta. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques through mental model tests, interviews, reflective journals, and classroom observations. The students' mental models were analyzed in three stages, namely engage, explore, and explain. The students' mental models are categorized into three, namely scientific, synthetic, and initial mental models which are viewed from the three levels of macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic representations. The results showed that class XB had three categories of mental models, namely scientific mental models with an overall average of 70.86%, synthetic mental models with an overall average of 17.54%, and initial mental models with an overall average of 11.60 %. Mental models are formed from the thoughts and experiences of students who previously had, teacher explanations, 3D representation media, and handbooks or other sources.

Abstract

  Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat validitas pengembangan e-modul berbantuan aplikasi canva dan untuk mengetahui respon pengguna terkait pengembangan e-modul di Kelas XI SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan R & D yaitu 4-D yang terdiri dari tahapan defenisi, perancangan, pengembangan, dan implementasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu validasi terhadap E-modul kepada 3 validator dan angket respon. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa para ahli media dan ahli materi pembelajaran dengan rata-rata persentase kevalidan 83,93% dan 81,57% dengan kriteria sangat valid.  Dinyatakan sangat praktis sesuai dengan penilaian guru dengan rata-rata persentase 92,45%, serta siswa uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba lapangan dengan rata-rata persentase 92,63% dan 92,98% dengan kriteria sangat praktis. E-modul berbantuan canva pada materi stoikiometri yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan telah layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran sesuai dengan penilaian. Abstract  This research aims to determine the level of validity of e-module development assisted by the Canva application and to determine user responses regarding e-module development in Class XI SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. This research uses the R & D development model, namely 4-D which consists of the stages of definition, design, development and implementation. The data analysis used is validation of the E-module with 3 validators and a response questionnaire. The data analysis technique in this research uses a Likert scale. The research results concluded that media experts and learning material experts had an average validity percentage of 83.93% and 81.57% with very valid criteria. It was declared very practical according to the teacher's assessment with an average percentage of 92.45%, as well as students in small group trials and field trials with an average percentage of 92.63% and 92.98% with very practical criteria. The Canva-assisted e-module on stoichiometry material that has been developed is declared suitable for use in learning according to the assessment.

Abstract

Abstrak   Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) telah membawa perubahan signifikan pada sektor pendidikan, terutama dalam media pembelajaran.Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis digital semakin penting untuk mendukung proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan menarik.Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis situs web yang terintegrasi dengan Canva dan Genially, serta menilai efektivitas penggunaan media situs web berbasis digital dalam pembelajaran kimia, khususnya untuk topik Hukum Dasar Kimia.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D), yang dilakukan di MAN 3 Jakarta Pusat.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis situs web yang dikembangkan, terintegrasi dengan Canva untuk desain dan Genially untuk konten interaktif, efektif untuk pembelajaran kimia.Media ini meningkatkan interaktivitas, daya tarik visual, dan efektivitas dalam menyampaikan konten Hukum Dasar Kimia.Kesimpulannya, penggunaan media situs web Kelas Kimia dapat membuat pembelajaran lebih efektif, menarik, dan interaktif bagi siswa. Abstract Information and communication technology (ICT) has brought significant changes to the education sector, particularly in learning media. The use of digital-based learning media has become increasingly important to support more effective and engaging teaching and learning processes. This study aims to develop a website-based learning media integrated with Canva and Genially, and to assess the effectiveness of using digital-based website media in chemistry learning, specifically for the topic of Basic Chemical Laws. The research method employed is Research and Development (R&D), conducted at MAN 3 Central Jakarta. The results show that the developed website-based learning media, integrated with Canva for design and Genially for interactive content, is effective for chemistry learning. This media enhances interactivity, visual appeal, and effectiveness in delivering the Basic Chemical Laws content. In conclusion, the use of the Chemistry Class website media can make learning more effective, engaging, and interactive for students.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian "Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik Berbasis Learning Cycle 5E pada Materi Laju Reaksi di Kelas XI.4 MAN 1 Kendari" bertujuan untuk menguji validitas LKPD berbasis learning cycle 5E dan menentukan respons siswa terhadap media pembelajaran LKPD berbasis learning cycle 5E.Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model Thiagarajan 4-D, dengan instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi ahli dan lembar kuesioner respons siswa.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk LKPD berbasis siklus pembelajaran 5e yang telah dikembangkan berada dalam kategori sangat layak dengan persentase rata-rata 92,8%; dengan kategori layak; dan respons siswa terhadap kepraktisan LKPD berada dalam kategori sangat layak dengan persentase 83,4%.   Abstract This research aims to determine the level of validity of e-module development assisted by the Canva application and to determine user responses regarding e-module development in Class XI SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. Abstract

Abstrak  Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar siswa kelas X dalam pembelajaran kimia di SMAN 1 Kerinci dalam konteks penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap guru kimia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep-konsep abstrak seperti atom dan reaksi kimia, yang diperburuk oleh keterbatasan akses informasi dan kesiapan guru yang bervariasi dalam menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Studi ini merekomendasikan pelatihan guru, peningkatan akses ke sumber belajar, dan penerapan pendekatan fleksibel serta diferensiasi pengajaran untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran kimia dan prestasi siswa. Abstract  This study aims to analyze the learning difficulties of grade X students in chemistry learning at SMAN 1 Kerinci in the context of implementing the Independent Curriculum. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews and observations of chemistry teachers. The results showed that students had difficulty in understanding abstract concepts such as atoms and chemical reactions, which were exacerbated by limited access to information and varying teacher readiness in implementing the Independent Curriculum. This study recommends teacher training, increasing access to learning resources, and implementing flexible approaches and teaching differentiation to improve the effectiveness of chemistry learning and student achievement.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the effect of POED (Predict-Observe-Explain-Do) learning model on students' critical thinking skills at SMAN 11 Jakarta on the material of basic laws of chemistry. The quantitative research method in this research is quasi experiment with posttest only control group design. Sampling using purposive sampling in class X SMAN 11 Jakarta. Data collection using test instruments in the form of descriptions. Data testing was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics (t-test). Based on the results of the study, the data obtained from the posttest value of critical thinking skills of experimental class students is 84,80 while the average value of the control class is 77,89. Meanwhile, the independent sample t-test data obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0,001 < 0,05 with the effect size of the research data results of 1,454 > 1 in the category of obtaining a very large influence. Based on the analysis of research data, there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. The increase in critical thinking skills with the POED (Predict-Observe-Explain-Doing) learning model is influenced by the learning process systematically and in depth, so that it hones the critical thinking skills of students. It can be concluded in the study that there is an effect of the application of the POED (Predict-Observe-Explain-Doing) learning model on the critical thinking skills of class X students at SMAN 11 Jakarta on the material of the basic laws of chemistry.

Abstract

The implementation of chemistry learning in schools is not yet optimal because it tends to only prioritize products, namely students' cognitive learning outcomes, while students' science process skills are put aside. Therefore, this research aims to determine the effect of the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model on class XI students' science process skills in buffer solution material. The participants in this research were 86 class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 South Tangerang in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. This research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique so that class XI MIPA 4 was obtained as a control class which applied the 5M learning model and class Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 29 with the Mann Whitney U test and Wilcoxon test. The results show that the science process skills of experimental class students are greater than those of control class students. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) learning model has a positive effect on class XI students' science process skills in buffer solution material.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and determine the level of validity and practicality of chemistry e-modules with the SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) approach on atomic structure material grade XI at Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatut Thullab Siak Small. This research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of the stages of analysis, design, development and implementation. Data collection techniques include validation of material and media experts and user response tests from teachers and students. Instruments in the form of validation questionnaires and user response questionnaires were analyzed using a Likert scale. This e-module was developed using Canva and through Flipbook Publu. Based on the results of the study, the e-module was declared very feasible with a score of 91.30% and feasible to use in learning chemistry at school.

Abstract

This purpose of this study is to improve students communication and team work skills using the 7E Learning Cycle model in learning chemistry. The subjects were 33 students of class XI IPA 2 at SMAN 43. Research conducted by the importance of communication and team work skills as life skills of the students. Based on a preliminary analysis, needs to improved students communication and team work skills. The method used in this study is a collaborative action research. Model 7E Learning Cycle consists of stages elicit, engange, explore, explain, elaborate, evaluate , and extend. This study aims to test the feasibility of the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) questions based on ethnoscience with the TPACK approach on thermochemistry material to measure the numeracy literacy of class XI students of SMAN 4 Surakarta, in terms of reliability, discrimination power, and level of difficulty; and to analyze students' numeracy literacy abilities based on the results of the AKM instrument measurements. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a purposive sampling technique and involves 100 students. Data collect ion was carried out through tests and interviews, while instrument analysis was carried out with content validity by two validators and Rasch Model analysis using Winstep software. The results showed that the AKM instrument was declared feasible to use with an item reliability value of 0.97 (excellent category), person reliability of 0.73 (sufficient), and Cronbach's alpha of 0.74 (good). The discrimination power showed that 60% of the items were fit and 40% of the items were not fit, and the level of difficulty was evenly divided from very difficult to easy. The results of student abilities showed that 31% were classified as proficient, 40% proficient, 23% basic, and 6% needed special intervention. These findings indicate that the developed instrument is effective in measuring variations in students' numeracy literacy abilities in the context of ethnoscience and the TPACK approach.

Abstract

The increase in juvenile delinquency can be overcome by character education that combines Islamic religion and science. In addition, contextual learning is a solution to overcome students' difficulties in learning the material of reaction rates. This study aims to determine the characteristics, analyze the feasibility, usability, and determine students' responses to the developed e-module. This study uses the DBR (Design-Based Research) development model which consists of three stages: analysis and exploration, design and construction, and evaluation and reflection. This study involved experts (chemistry, Islamic religion, and media), chemistry teachers of MA in DIY, and students in phase F. The instruments used were validation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive for qualitative data and descriptive statistics for quantitative data. The results of the study indicate that the required characteristics of the e-module are that the teaching materials are made electronically and are easily accessible, contain images/illustrations about the material, contain the context of the material integrated with Islamic values and related to daily life, and are presented in the form of a flipbook. Based on expert assessments, the developed e-module is considered feasible with revision. According to the teachers' assessment, the developed e-module fell into the very good category, achieving an average score of 98 and a 91% ideality percentage. Meanwhile, student responses based on the readability test yielded an average score of 68, falling into the very good category with an 85% ideality percentage.
