Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi, mengidentifikasikan tingkat efisiensi harga (alokatif) pada penggunaan faktor produksi, serta mengetahui besarnya biaya dan pendapatan dari usaha pembuatan gula kelapa di Desa Gumelem Wetan Kecamatan Susukan Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian diambil secara purposif (sengaja) yaitu Desa Gumelem Wetan Kecamatan Susukan, dengan pertimbangan desa ini merupakan sentra pembuatan gula kelapa serta sebagian besar pemilik menderes sendiri pohon kelapanya. Pengambilan petani sampel dilakukan dengan metode Simple Random Sampling (sampel acak sederhana) sebanyak 30 sampel. Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian yaitu mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan faktorfaktor produksi dan efisien alokatif, data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan fungsi produksi tipe Cobb-Douglas. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui biaya dan pendapatan usaha pembuatan gula kelapa digunakan analisis matematika sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi pembuatan gula kelapa di Desa Gumelem Wetan Kecamatan Sususkan Kabupaten Banjarnegara dipengaruhi secara nyata oleh jumlah nira yang dimasak, sedangkan luas lahan garapan, kayu bakar dan tenaga kerja yang digunakan tidak berpengaruh secara nyata pada produksi gula kelapa. Faktor produksi nira belum efisiensi, faktor produksi kayu bakar dan tenaga kerja tidak efisien, sedangkan luas garapan telah efisien. Jumlah biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk memproduksi gula kelapa adalah sebesar Rp.532.332,73 atau Rp.29.195,58/pohon/bulan, dan pendapatan kotor petani penderes sebesar Rp.351.217,00/bulan, sedangkan pendapatan bersih sebesar minus Rp.115.831,00/bulan.

Abstract

This research was conducted to study weed species and weed dominance on maize crop at several altitutes in Kembaran districts (0-250 m alt) and Sumbang Districs (250-500 m alt), Banyumas regency. The research was arranged in a survey and weed vegetation analysis on maize crop at two different locations determined. There are 6 locations of maize crops every altitutes level (each 20mx20m). Every fields determined 10 samples plot (each 1mx1m). The results showed that weed dominance on maize crop (0-250 m alt) are Cynodon dactylon (SDR : 12,39), Eclipta prostrata (SDR : 11,09), Digitaria sanguinalis (SDR : 9,76), Leptochloa chinensis (SDR : 9,53) dan Cyperus rotundus (SDR : 8,82). Weed dominance on maize crop (250-500 m alt) are Eclipta prostrata (SDR : 13,78), Cynodon dactylon (SDR : 12,81), Leptochloa chinensis (SDR : 12,29), Cyperus rotundus (SDR : 11,47) dan Digitaria sanguinalis (SDR : 10,46).

Abstract

The opportunity of agribusiness palm oil plantation related to the increased of plam oil demand in the world. The business of palm oil plantation in Indonesia now is facing the limited land resources. Development of palm oil plantation to sub optimals lands such as acid sulphate soils were estimated in 2.0 millions hectares in Indonesia. The palm oil cultures in acid sulphate soils need the appropriate of inputs and efficiency based in land characteristics. Glass house experiments was conducted with randomized complete designs with three replications. An experiments consisted of two sub aactivities i.e combination of NPK dosage with humic matterial application methods. Each treatment consisted 30 plant/polybag so that totals 720 plants/polybag, Sub activity 1 (Humic matterial coated on NPK fertilizers) : a) 100 % NPK + no humic coating 0 % , b) 100 % NPK + humic coated 0,5 %, c) 75 % NPK + humic coated 1,0 %, d) 50% NPK + humic coated 2%. Humic applicated in % (v/w). Sub activities 2 (application of humic liquid was sprayed). : were kind of four of treatments (1) 100 % NPK 100 % with out humic, (2) 100 % NPK + humic (liquid) 3 cc/plant, (3) 75 % NPK + Humic (liquid) 3 cc/plant, and (4) 50% NPK + humic (liquid) 6 cc/plant.. Application of humic was sprayed suited in on each treatments 20 times equivalent 1 – 2 liters, humic acid was diluted in 20 l water was applicatid in polybags eachs 3 – 4 weeks. Parameter were observed in soil chemical characteristics before planting, plants growth (plant height, plant diameters and leaf numbers per plant) and leaf macronutrient contents such as N, P, K, Ca and Mg. Data were collected by using variant analized. Differents of the treatments were tested by DMRT0.05. Result showed that (1) Fertilizer appplied 75% NPK recommended + liquid humic 1% (v/w) (coated) better than to increase of plant height, plant diameters and leaf numbers of palm oil at 6 and 7 month ago compared to others.(2) Applicaton of 75% NPK with sprayed 3 cc humic per plant will increased the plant height most, plant diameters and leaf numbers at age of 6 and 7 month ago than the others. (3) Applivcation of humic matter 1% (v/w) (coated) at 75 % NPK better than application of 75 % NPK applied + humic (liquid) 3 cc per plant that was sprayed in the soil polybag on plant height, diameter plant and number of leaf per plant and to increase of N, P and K content of the plant. Abstract

This study aims to determine the source organ performance of two spinach varieties in some planting media variation of charcoal husk. Research conducted at the Green House of Agricultural Faculty of Muhammadiyah University for four months starting in May-August 2012. The research was arrangged by Randomized Completely Block Design and each treatment was repeated three times. The study consisted of two factors: First, the varieties of spinach (V), consists of two varieties of the Maestro (V1) and Bisi (V2). Second, the addition of charcoal husk (A), consisting of A0 (without a charcoal husk / soil media only), A1 (given the husk charcoal at 25%), A2 (husk charcoal as much as 50%) and A3 (husk charcoal in 75%). The results showed that there was no difference between the source organ performance Maestro spinach varieties with varieties Bisi, husk charcoal dose needs to be added to spinach plants have best performance of source organs is 25% media volume, although this is not significantly different with only soil media and there was no significant interaction between type of spinach with a dose of charcoal husk of source organ performance of Maestro and Bisi spinach varieties.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the characteristics of (Brown Sugar) producers, the processing of water coconut sap until it is certified with Control Union, and the developmental strategies of brown sugar entrepreneurship in Wadaslintang Sub-district of Wonosobo. The data were collected through observation, interview, documentation and were analysed using qualitative descriptive technique. A qualitative approach was used to determine the characteristics of brown sugar producers in Wadaslintang Sub-district and to analyse the entrepreneurial condition of brown sugar farmers/producers. Developmental patterns of brown sugar entrepreneurship was analysed through SWOT technique (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). The research result indicated that: first, the characteristics of brown sugar producers in Wadaslintang Sub-district (including age, education level, and duration of running brown sugar entrepreneurship) belong to adequate category for developing brown sugar entrepreneurship. Second, brown sugar in Wadaslintang Sub-district is still processed traditionally. However, the production can get into the export market. Third, the developmental strategies of brown sugar entrepreneurship include expanding the target, maintaining and improving the quality of gula semut production, improving promotion to people and maintaining the good relation with the customers.

Abstract

Fishery subsector plays role in providing food, raw material for industry, workfield, and also national revenue. Therefore, government has to concern about increasing the production intensity of fishery subsector. Banyumas Regency is one of region that has potency as center of fishery production in Central Java. The aim of this research were: 1) to know potency of commodity of fishery subsector from concentration and specialization level; and 2) to know area that has good growth and competitive advantage. Result of research showed that: 1) nilam, karper and nila/mujair fishes were basis commodity in Banyumas Regency from its concentration and specialization level; and 2) areas that good potency for developing nilam, karper and nila/mujair fishes as superior commodity were subdistrict of Lumbir, Wangon, Jatilawang, Rawalo, Tambak, Somagede, Kalibagor, Banyumas, Purwojati, Ajibarang, Gumelar, Pekuncen, Purwokerto Selatan, Purwokerto Barat and Purwokerto Utara. Abstract

A research aimed to examine the effect of dosage interaction and MVA inoculation technique on the incidence of fusarium wilt in watermelon plants has been carried out. Method used was experimental with a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) in a factorial pattern. The first factor was MVA treatment in four levels, i.e. M0 (no MVA given), M1 (MVA = 7.5 g/plant), M2 (MVA = 10 g/plant), M3 (MVA = 12.5 g/plant). Whereas, the second factor was different inoculation techniques: IbJ (VAM was inoculated when seeds were planted) and Ibt (VAM was inoculated when the seedlings were replanted). The main parameter in this research was the incubation period and disease intensity, while the supporting parameters were VAM infection intensity, soil pH, air temperature and relative humidity. Obtained data of the disease intensity and the incubation period were analyzed with analysis of variance (F test) and continued with Least Significant Differences test with the error level of 5%. Results indicated that the interaction of dosages and mixed MVA inoculation technique had suppressed the disease intensity and delayed the incubation period of fusarium wilt in watermelon plants, while the dosages of mixed MVA separately affected the intensity and delayed the incubation period of fusarium wilt in watermelon plants. The mixed MVA dosege of 10 g/plant was the most effective to suppress Fusarium wilt disease intensity in watermelon plants, while the dosage of 12.5 g/plant was the best to delay the incubation period of fusarium wilt in watermelon plants. Abstract

Currently, clove is important plantation crop due to its high price (Rp 85.000 at harvest and Rp 135.000 at dry condition), although at late 1990s it was only Rp 3500 per kg. Then, many clove crops were left died with bad cultivation, cut, and even made as firewood. In relation to free trade area, clove cigarette development, great cigarette excise and source of employment, government gives increasingly great attention. Then, as main commodity of national economy, clove cultivation is important matter included harvest and post harvest process because it will affect quality and selling price. Objectives of the research was to study cost structure of harvest and post harvest, to identify harvest and post harvest cost effect on income, and to analyze feasibility of clove cultivation business. The research was done for 2 months from August to September 2013. Location was determined using purposive sampling involving 20 farmers. Data include primary and secondary data that was analyzed descriptively. The results indicated that harvest cost was very high covering 80.33% of total cost in clove cultivation cost; harvest and post harvest cost has effect of 20.92% on revenue and 26.46% on income. This clove cultivation is feasible financially because it is economically profitable with B/C ratio of 3.77. Keywords: clove, farming system, price, labour, farmer

Abstract

The study aimed to determine the profitability of red chili farming (Capsicum annuum) in Gombong village, Belik District, Pemalang. The study applied purposive sampling method on 60 samples of red chili farmers. The results showed that the cost of farm production of red chili in Gombong village, Belik District, Pemalang regency was divided into two: the fixed costs and variable costs. The average of fixed cost in farming red chili was Rp.2.546.049,325/Ut/Mt, while the average variable cost was Rp.23.916.678/Ut/Mt. Thus, the average total cost of production in the farming red chili was Rp.26.462.727,325/Ut/Mt, then the production costs per kg spent by the farmer in the village of red chili farming Gombong, Belik District, Pemalang regency was Rp.11.132,825/kg. Profitability is the ability of a company to generate (profit) on thelevel of sales, assets, and a specific share capital. In the study, red chili farming in Gombong village, Belik District, Pemalang obtained 14,547 % profits.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi (lahan garapan, tenaga kerja dan pupuk) dan tingkat efisiensi alokatif penggunaannya pada usahatani ubikayu di Desa Punggelan Kecamatan Punggelan Kabupaten Banjarnegara. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan bahwa di desa ini banyak petani yang menanam ubi kayu secara monokultur. Sampel penelitian diambil secara acak sederhana (simple random sampling) sebanyak 31 orang responden dari petani ubikayu sebanyak 53 orang. Data penelitian dari sampel terpilih diambil melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang telah disiapkan. Selanjutnya data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda tipe Cobb Douglas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi ubikayu secara nyata dipengaruhi oleh luas lahan garapan, sedangkan pupuk dan tenaga kerja tidak berpengaruh secara nyata. Luas garapan dan penggunaan tenaga kerja belum mencapai efisiensi alokatif sedangkan penggunaan pupuk tidak efisien secara alokatif.
