Abstract

One of the lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic is the distance learning process. This process has an impact on students, namely experiencing anxiety. Severe anxiety experienced by students is caused by the occurrence of culture shock. Distance learning causes social isolation because there is no social and physical interaction. The research objective was to determine the correlation between anxiety levels and the distance learning process on bachelor of nursing students at the Aisyah University of Pringsewu in 2021. This type of research is a quantitative analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this research was 73 students. The implementation time has been carried out from April up to May 2021. The technique used simple random sampling. The research instrument used the HARS questionnaire with spearman rank test analysis. The results of data analysis show that there is a correlation between anxiety levels and the distance learning process at the Aisyah University of Pringsewu with the Spearman rank test, obtained p-value of 0.000 (<0.05), it is expected that respondents will always take something positive from the learning process during a pandemic like this. Abstract

Pain is a problem that is often encountered in everyday life and is a common reason people seek health care. More than half of all respondents have low back pain problems. This can cause pain and reduce the ability to move, which can prevent you from performing daily activities. The most common factor influencing the occurrence of low back pain is age. Efforts that must be made by health workers are to provide education about the use of a lumbar corset to reduce pain in patients with low back pain or prevent the recurrence of back pain in people who have a history of low back pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in pain levels in respondents with low back pain respondents who used a lumbar corset and did not use a lumbar corset at the Ketabang Health Center. The design of this study was non-experimental with the mann-whitney comparison method. The sampling technique used total random sampling. The population in this study were respondents with low back pain who wore a lumbar corset and did not wear a lumbar corset, each of 20 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire sheet Modified Oswestry Low back pain Disability Questionnaire. Statistical tests using SPSS showed that p = 0.028 (α = 0.05) where H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, meaning that there was a difference between the level of pain in respondents with low back pain who wore a lumbar girdle and did not wear a lumbar girdle. This shows that the use of a lumbar corset or assistive device in the treatment of low back pain is very effective in reducing pain in respondents with low back pain. Respondents are expected to be able to live a healthy lifestyle and wear a lumbar corset to reduce pain. Keywords: Low Back Pain; Pain; Lumbar Corset

Abstract

The preceptorship model has been widely used in clinical nursing education to achieve clinical students’ competence.Although preceptorship is the core of clinical education, it also requires restructuring and support in its implementation so that preceptorship training develops. Preceptorship training has an important effect on competence, clinical skills, and satisfaction of the preceptor in guiding nursing students, but not all preceptor nurses are trained to perform this complex role. This study aims to identify the effect of preceptorship training on the guidance quality of clinical practice students. This study is a literature review, accessed from internet database searches i.e. Google Scholar, Pro Quest, and Sciencedirect with the keywords preceptorship, preceptorship training, preceptorship and clinical practice. From the Google Scholar database, 480 articles were found, 365 articles from Pro Quest and 327 from Sciencedirect. After going through the screening process and eligibility, 7 articles fit the inclusion criteria and were analyzed. The results showed that there are 4 parts that result from preceptorship training and affect the guidance quality of clinical practice students to increase knowledge, clinical skills, and confidence in the nursing process, improve communication skills, provide positive support to students, and connect the gap between theory and practice. Abstract

Thriving technology, information, and communication drive mobile health development to induce changes in health service delivery. The Android-based SIMADU application is a substitute for the manual and conventional administration system. It encourages Posyandu cadres to use the android-based application, which is considered more productive, and thereby making Posyandu activities more efficient. This research is discussing the Android-based SIMADU application. Method used is a descriptive survey, carried out in Posyandu Flamboyan, Mawar, Cempaka, and Kenanga, all addressed in Kukusan Beji Depok West Java. Data collection techniques are observation and questionnaire distribution. The sample is 25 cadres from Posyandus in Kukusan Beji. The results is 78.1% of Posyandu cadres advocate the use of the SIMADU application. 68.8% of Posyandu cadres entail an engineer who can assist them to use the SIMADU application. The SIMADU application features are attested to be effective to elevate Posyandu cadres’ confidence by 71.9%. The conclusion, use of technology and information in Posyandu may breed a significant change in health service delivery. The SIMADU application can help Posyandu cadres in Posyandu activities, e.g., recording and documenting the data of families, pregnant women, babies, toddlers, and fertile couples. Inharmonious family relationships, lack of attention from family, and lack of family knowledge that make inability in patient care greatly affect patient recovery. The writing method used in this case study is descriptive analytic method, namely case presentation with a nursing process approach that focuses on one important problem in the selected case. With a focus on the study of knowledge deficits related to the inability of families to recognize family health problems. The results of the study showed that the provision of nursing care to hypertensive patients with a focus on knowledge deficiency studies through health education interventions (penkes) showed an improvement in conditions where patients and their families knew more about hypertension diets, Keywords: nursing care; knowledge deficiency; health intervention.

Abstract

The increase in the elderly population in the world has resulted in an epidemiological transition in the health sector so that there can an increase in the number of morbidity due to degenerative diseases, namely cognitive function problems. Poor cognitive function status can influenced by one of the respondent's characteristic domains such as the length of history of hypertension and the domain of health risk factors such as frailty. This study aims to find the relationship between long-suffering from hypertension and frailty on cognitive function status in elderly patients at PSTW Budi Mulia 2 Cengkareng. The research design used is descriptive analytic with a cross-sectional approach. Collecting data using the questionnaire The Edmonton Frailty Scale (EFS) and the Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire (SPMSQ) which have been test for validity and reliability. The sample consisted of 58 respondents who were take using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used in this study is the Pearson correlation. This study shows that 81% of respondents are between 60-74 years old, female gender is 67.2%, primary school education level is 56.9%. Meanwhile, the length of the elderly suffering from hypertension ≤5 years was 65.5%, mild frailty was 67.2%, and moderate cognitive dysfunction was 36.2%. The results of the Pearson correlation statistical test showed that there was a relationship between the length of suffering from hypertension and the cognitive function status with a value of p = 0.004 and there was a relationship between frailty and the cognitive function status with a value of p = 0.001. Elderly advised to support health by controlling a low salt diet so that cognitive decline does not become chronic so that they do not develop dementia and control frailty by eating foods high in energy and protein so that they do not worsen cognitive function.
