Abstract

The hen will naturally incubate the eggs to carry out the hatching process. However, natural hatching has a small percentage of success, and the egg incubation can only be conducted with a maximum number of 10 eggs. This study aims to design and implement an egg incubator to increase chicken production. This research uses the design method and experimental method. Testing tools are divided into 3 types, namely temperature testing, humidity testing, and egg-hatching testing. The research result is an automatic egg incubator using an Arduino microcontroller. The incubator uses several electronic components: Arduino, DHT 22 sensor, RTC DS 1307 module, heater, cooler fan, and humidifier. The temperature test is very good, with a temperature range of 38.50C-390C. The humidity test is very good, with a humidity range of 55%-60%. The egg-hatching test was classified as very good, with an efficiency value of 90%. Based on the tests, the egg incubator belongs to the very good category and can be applied to increase chicken production.

Abstract

The growth of the packaging industry in Indonesia has shown positive growth so that packaging business competition is a dynamic challenge. PT Jaya Prakarsa is a company that focuses on the packaging industry trusted by consumers because the quality and service are the best. However, the company faces obstacles namely declining internal performance and facing fluctuations in company revenue. This research aims to revamp effective strategies for PT Jaya Prakarsa in order to develop its business and compete in a competitive market so as to increase revenue. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with SWOT and QSPM methods. The results showed that the company has a profitable role based on the IFE and EFE matrices, with the results of values of 1.606 and 1.304 and placing them in quadrant I so that the recommended strategy is Growth Oriented Strategy. In addition, the results of the SWOT matrix also identify SO's strategies to leverage between internal strengths and external opportunities. Alternative strategies through the QSPM matrix selected through 1 set of SO strategies showed that the highest TAS score was 6,870 with the strategy of utilizing technological advances to produce innovative new products and capitalize on the growth of the wider market.

Abstract

The most important stage when developing a system is testing. Testing on the system needs to be carried out in order to find out how far the usability of the system is working. This research aims to carry out blackbox testing on the library system website by utilizing the Boundary Value and Equivalence Partitioning analysis methods to understand whether the functions on the website are running properly and to evaluate the suitability of website features with user needs. This test is carried out on the main function of the website, namely the login and sign in menu. This black box test is to test the accuracy of the type of input data and data entered into the system. Based on testing using this method, the results obtained were that no functional errors were found on the input side of the system and no errors were identified on the website system of the Bekasi Regency Archives and Library Service.

Abstract

The quality of tempeh has until now been determined through direct physical observation. The results of observations frequently show less consistency due to human visual limitations. Image processing is an alternative used to determining the quality of tempeh from the image aspect. Image processing has capabilities that are more sensitive, precise, and objective than human vision. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is a deep learning model that is able to identify image objects in such a way as to determine the type of the object. In some cases, CNN algorithm is used to identify the condition of an object quality. This research aims to identify the quality of tempeh from the image aspect to ensure whether the tempeh can be classified as the tempeh having good condition or the one starting to decompose. The image of tempeh is primary data obtained directly from one of the traditional markets in Medan. The number of images that were successfully obtained was 262. The resulted classification model went through seven phases: data preparation, preprocessing, data augmentation, dataset splitting, building a classification model with the CNN algorithm with the ReLU activation function, model testing, and evaluation. The results show that the model generated from 80% of the data has an accuracy of 98.71% and a loss rate of 0.0433%. In conclusion, this study shows that the loss rate will stabilize at this rate after 50 epochs.

Abstract

CV. Asta Karya Abadi is a manufacturing industry that operates as a supplier of quality stainless steel products. Poor layout design in factories causes cross movement between departments and results in excessive total material movement, for this reason this research aims to redesign work stations. To solve the facility layout problem at CV Asta Karya Abadi, the SLP and CRAFT methods, as well as Promodel Software, were used. Based on the actual layout, the total displacement moment is 285,948 m/ 3 months, the displacement moment value in the proposed layout using the SLP method has a value of 194,298 m/ 3 months and the CRAFT method has a value of 280,729 m/ 3 months. Redesign the layout of production facilities at CV. Asta Karya Abadi, which was built, succeeded in arranging work station provisions so that an efficient process flow was formed. It can be proven from the results of the pro model simulation that the process flow is U-shaped and there is no cross movement between departments.

Abstract

Inventory of goods is one of the most important assets of a company. So. there must be good internal handling for the large amount of data items in the warehouse. At this time, the existing system of goods reporting is still conducted manually. This can result in errors in data storage. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a website application for inventory that can help users to more easily store and find the items needed. The application is the one using binary search and sequential search algorithms for the process of searching for goods data to speed up data search. This study compares the binary search and sequential search algorithms. The testing process uses microtime to produce the fastest time. The results of the test carried out 50 times out of 500 data show binary search produced an average time of 0.0402524 ms and sequential search of 0.0519893 ms. Then, the next test uses the searching time complexity method with the best case with a binary search algorithm of 0.0125 ms and a sequential search of 0.11293 ms. The conclusion is that using the binary search algorithm has the fastest time compared to the sequential search algorithm.

Abstract

This research aims to classify malicious packet data and compare the performance of two algorithms, namely K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) and Decision Tree (DT). The UNSW-NB15 dataset used in this study has undergone preprocessing, feature selection, and data split stages. The preprocessing stage includes data transformation and selection of relevant features to detect malicious packets. Subsequently, experiments were conducted to test various values of K in K-NN and measure accuracy, recall, precision, and F1-Score. The results show that K-NN has an accuracy of 91.54%, while DT has 92.41%. The conclusion of this research indicates that the Decision Tree (DT) algorithm performs slightly better than K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN) in detecting malicious packets. Therefore, in selecting an algorithm for network security detection, it is important to consider the specific needs and goals of the research as well as the characteristics of the data used.
