Abstract

The aim of this research is to test the relationship between islamic spiritual intelligence and  employee spiritual value toward employee performance. To strengthen the effect, mediating variable of employee engagement were added to the model. The research collected the data from the employee of small medium enterprise in cullinary industry which owned by  moslem entrepreneurs in Surakarta. by conduct a path analysis the research reveal that the characters of sidiq, amanah, and fatanah are significantly influence the employee spiritual value. However, the quality of Islamic leadership style is able to increase and empower the employee’s spirit value in order to achieve higer employee performance.

Abstract

Purpose of this study to obtain empirical evidence and find the clarity of the phenomenon as well as conclusions about the effect of organization culture, managerial competency and organization environment factor on bank performance. This thesis is expected to contribute to the development of management accounting science.The primary data received from manager of Syariah Bank in Cirebon, collected by mail survey. 33 questionnaires were send to bank Syariah managers and 30 respondents give their perception with respond rate 91% the data analyze by using multiple regression. The result showed that organization culture, managerial competency and organization environment have a positive effect to bank performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to the preparation of the SAP (Unit Event Class) Entrepreneurship, application of learning models, the results achieved from the application of learning, and the obstacles encountered in teaching entrepreneurship. The study population 155 students STIEBBANK Yogyakarta in 2013/2014 consisting of Management Studies and Accounting. Samples were taken 70 questionnaire respondents. Data collection was conducted by questionnaire in addition, also in-depth interview with the Chairman and Vice Chairman for Academic Affairs, faculty, students, and alumni. Also obtained from observations in the field, and is supported by documents. Analysis techniques to test the validity of the data is triangulated.The results showed that the preparation of the SAP EP (Entrepreneurship) compared with other subjects, the difference lies in the content of courses and learning models. This is because the atmosphere campus academic and business nuances. The application of the model of entrepreneurial learning is done through a contextual approach or CTL make students actively in learning. The results of the application of entrepreneurship with contextual learning can be seen from the students' creative entrepreneurship, business and product appearance tangible manifestation and proven to generate revenue. The most prominent constraint is a mindset change, that is change the mindset pass to an employee (work) to pass into entrepreneurs (have my own business)

Abstract

Agency problem appears because of conflict interest between managers as a agen and firm’s owner as a principal. Conflict of interests between the firm’s managers and the firm’s owners causes agency cost. Prior study demostrated that ownership structure and board structure can reduce agency cost. This study aims to analyze the effects of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, board of director size, and board of commissioner size on agency cost. Agency cost as a dependent variable in this study measured by total asset turnover and operating expense ratio. This paper based on the previous research by Ang et al. (1999), Singh et al. (2003) and Faisal (2004). Sample of this study consist of firms listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2009-2013. The sampling method that used in this study is purposive sampling method consist of 195 observation. Hypothesis testing using multiple regression analysis. This study found that managerial ownership and board of commissioner size do not have significant effects on reduce agency cost. Institutional ownership and board of director size have significant effects on reduce agency cost.

Abstract

Penerapan IFRS di Indonesia yang direncanakan sejak tahun 2008 lalu dan mulai memasuki tahapan adopsi penuh pada tahun 2012 ini menemui banyak kendala. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi yaitu masih kurang siapnya sumber daya dan pendidikan di Indonesia. Untuk itu penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa jauh kesiapan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi era IFRS di tahun 2012 ini serta adakah perbedaan persepsi antara mahasiswa di DIY dan Jawa Tengah maupun Perguruan Tinggi Negeri dan Swasta.Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dalam pengumpulan data yang disusun berdasarkan skala likert dengan lima alternatif pernyataan mulai tidak mengerti sampai dengan sangat mengerti. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 140 orang mahasiswa yang masing-masing terdiri dari 35 orang mahasiswa pada Perguruan Tinggi Negeri dan Swasta di DIY dan Jawa Tengah.Berdasarkan hasil uji independent t- test dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan persepsi antara mahasiswa prodi akuntansi di DIY dan Jawa Tengah maupun mahasiswa pada Perguruan Tinggi Negeri dan Swasta. Hal tersebut didasarkan pada nilai t hitung yang lebih kecil dari nilai t perhitungan serta nilai Sig yang lebih besar dari 0,05, baik secara keseluruhan maupun pengukuran yang dilakukan pada masing-masing dimensi.

Abstract

The new paradigm of Human Resource Management put employees as working partner of the company instead of production factor of the company. As a working partner, employees have some added values compared to other production factors. These added values consist of feelings, creativity, and motivation. The empowerment of these added values would bring competitive advantages to the company.There are four main strategies in employee empowerment, which are; 1) Growing the consciousness, willingness and management commitment to implement employee empowerment strategies. The core activity of employee empowerment is sharing trust and authority with such risks and the result would not be instantly gained. 2) Developing organizational structure and instruments to support employee empowerment. 3) Developing supporting system to employee empowerment. 4) Developing Human Resource and Organization behavior as the subjects of empowerment.Employee empowerment is a strategy that runs as a process, so, it is needed to be understood that the result might come in a long period of time. Moreover, employees and management would experience error learning. Therefore, patience and understanding is needed.

Abstract

The phenomenon of MSMEs is still interesting to discuss, especially from a financial perspective. One of the important financial decisions for a business is a financing decision. This decision will continue on investment decisions and the operationalization of daily business. This research was conducted at the batik UMKM located in Lasem, Rembang, Central Java. The sample selection process was conducted by purposive sampling method, 30 entrepreneurs were selected as respondents. The distribution of questionnaires and interviews was conducted to collect primary data. The data is processed using a qualitative descriptive method to describe the condition of MSME funding patterns based on their business life cycle. The results found that there were differences in the pattern of funding sources used by these MSMEs, both in cross section and time series. This study suggests a practical use of the firm life cycle model in helping MSME to understand how their financial decision is likely to adjust over time

Abstract

This study entitled "The Analysis of Factors that Influence the performance of credit in bank bjb xyz". The purpose of this research is to know the effect of interest rate, term of loans, credit plafond , age, collateral type, installment, debitor economic sector and income to credit performance at bjb xyz branch. This study uses Binary Logistic Regression with sample 43 account of micro-credit debitors in bjb xyz branch, the sampling method that being used is random sampling. The results of this research showed only three variables that significantly influence credit performance there are interest rate, age and type of collateral. Meanwhile term of loans, credit plafond, installment, debitor economy sector, have no significant effect on credit performance.  Based on the results of this study, writer suggest that bjb xyz branch  focus on the lending rates factor to optimize bank bjb xyz earnings, but still be able to win with the compatitors. Debitors age also need to be considered because it relates to past experience and the top of debitors productivity. Regards on types of collateral, bank may consider to choose the collateral based on credit plafond given and credit risks taken, the higher credit plafond given, the bigger the credit risk exposure so it must be supported with an adequate collateral.

Abstract

Karena semakin pentingnya manajemen yang efektif dan produktif dalam organisasi sektor publik, budgetary slack mulai dilihat sebagai masalah penting bagi organisasi sektor publik. Di Indonesia, khususnya di lembaga pemerintahan sangat mungkin terdapat praktik budgetary slack. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mencoba mengeksplorasi penelitian-penelitan yang terkait dengan budgetary slack dengan mengkontekskannya pada organisasi sektor publik khususnya di pemerintahan. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi wacana terhadap pentingnya mencegah budgetary slack di lembaga pemerintahan. Hal tersebut penting mengingat anggaran yang digunakan merupakan dana masyarakat yang akan berdampak luas bagi kesejahteraan mereka.

Abstract

Keberlangsungan usaha merupakan salah satu isu penting bagi seorang investor dalam menentukan keputusan. Akan tetapi pengetahuan investor maupun para shareholder tentang patokan apa saja yang bisa digunakan untuk mengetahui keberlangsungan hidup sebuah perusahaan. Seringkali terjadi asimetri informasi, dimana para manajer cenderung menyembunyikan informasi yang berguna bagi para investor maupun shareholders dalam membuat keputusan. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan adalah dengan mengetahui komposisi utang perusahaan. Penelitian ini mencoba mengungkap rasio apa saja yang dapat digunakan sebagai determinan penentuan kebijakan utang perusahaan yang erat hubungannya dengan keberlangsungan hidup perusahaan. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah terdapat lima rasio yang bisa digunakan sebagai determinan kebijakan utang yaitu ROA, ROE, DAR, Eqv, dan EV. Sementara CR dan ReV terbukti tidak berpengaruh terhadap kebijakan utang perusahaan. Sample yang digunakan adalah perusahaan yang masuk dalam kelompok LQ45 di Indonesia pada tahun 2015, dikecualikan untuk sektor perbankan.Going concern is one of the important issues for an investor in the decision making. But the knowledge of investors and shareholders of any benchmark that can be used to determine the going concern of a company are very limited. Often there is information asymmetry, where managers tend to hide information that is useful for investors and shareholders in making decisions. This research attempts to uncover any ratio can be used as a determinant of the company's debt policy decisions are closely related to the going concern of a company. The result is there are five ratios that can be used as a determinant of the debt policy that is ROA, ROE, DAR, EqV, and EV. While CR and ReV proved no effect on the company's debt policy. Sample used are companies included in LQ45 group in Indonesia in 2015, excluded for the banking sector.
