Abstract

Soil and water are vital natural resources on which agriculture sector growth and village livelihood depend and having the proper knowledge of the Soil, Plant, and water relationship are extremely important to achieve sustainable agricultural productivity. Pakistan has entered the 21st century with the rising challenge to meet food and fiber requirements for its population for domestic consumption and export. Without having appropriate knowledge about the intense water need of plants, most of the agricultural land in Pakistan is still being irrigated by conventional methods, which in turn produces so many problems and reduces the agricultural productivity putting extra stress on the country’s economy, so to avoid these issues, it is extremely necessary to provide the required quantity of water to plant, which will only be possible by consideration and accurate estimation of Evapotranspiration of plant so to enhance awareness and practice of water-saving agriculture in Pakistan to increase the agricultural commodities. In this study, estimation of Actual Evapotranspiration ( ETa ) of Malwah Distributary located in Shaheed Benazirbad, Sindh was selected from Command area of Rohri Canal, ET of four different crops; Cotton, Fallow, Rice and Sugarcane for the period of Rabi 2019-2020 and Kharif 2020 was estimated by using satellite-based evapotranspiration mapping tool namely METRIC REFLUX. The actual ET for each season was obtained using the Reference ET fraction (ETrf) of satellite data and reference ET(ETr) obtained from the literature. The classified crop mask was obtained using maximum likelihood classification on bands 8,4, and 3 of sentinel-2 images of the year 2020. The overall accuracy obtained is 93% with a kappa coefficient 0.921841. The average Actual Evapotranspiration of different crops namely, banana, cotton, rice, and sugarcane were found to be 1527.2 mm, 536.6 mm, 386.80 mm, and 814.02 mm

Abstract

The rapid acceleration of population growth in the city of Surabaya has resulted in an increase in the number of users of transportation modes. The COVID-19 pandemic is a problem that has a major and global impact in Indonesia, especially in the transportation sector. The safety and comfort factor of passengers is one aspect that the people of Surabaya rethink before taking public transportation. Suroboyo Bus is one of the modes of public transportation that has directly felt the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. There are policies implemented by the Government such as limiting the number of passengers and implementing health protocols. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to review and analyze the level of willingness of passengers on the West- East route of the Suroboyo Bus public transportation. The research method used to determine the greatest impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on passenger willingness is to conduct a survey of passenger respondents regarding socio-economic characteristics, passenger travel characteristics, and mode selection characteristics (Stated Preference). Processing and analyzing data using descriptive analysis with the Stated Preference (SP) method by distributing questionnaires totaling 100 samples to the general public for Suroboyo Bus passengers. The other data analysis methods used in this study are the Slovin formula method to determine the number of samples, validity and reliability tests used in testing questionnaires with Microsoft Excel tools. The results of the descriptive analysis of the characteristics of 100 respondents socio-economic passengers on the choice of the mode of Suroboyo Bus who travel is dominated by women with a productive age range of 21-30 years, the last education is SMA/SMK/MA, student work, monthly income <Rp 1,000. 000. While the results of the analysis of the characteristics of passenger travel come from Surabaya, the purpose of travel, the reason for using the mode is the cost/fare/ticket. And the analysis of the characteristics of mode selection with both facility attributes and service attributes during normal and pandemic times chooses the option "definitely chooses to be equipped with covid-19 facilities" and the results of the following analysis show that Suroboyo Bus passengers are still enthusiastic about this mode of transportation with covid facilities or facilities -19 adequate and also low cost and affordable for the general public.

Abstract

Dewatering (drying work) is a civil work that aims to control water (ground/surface water) so as not to interfere/impede the process of implementing a construction work, especially for the implementation of structural parts that are in the ground and below the ground water level. Dewatering work is closely related to kisdam. kisdamis a temporary barrier or barrier between water and the construction site for irrigation construction There are several methods used in the implementation of a project, one of which is the conventional/jumbo bag kisdam method which is carried out at the project site. There is also a portadam/non-conventional kisdam method which is basically the same asa temporary barrier or barrier between water and the construction site but what distinguishes it is that the installation/application process is carried out in dry and wet places, then brought to the project site to be assembled into a unified structure. In this final project, the analytical data needed for the comparison of these two systems is secondary data. Secondary data is data obtained from the implementing party in the form of unit price analysis. In this final project, an alternative design for non-conventional design is planned by comparing the cost analysis and implementation time. With a comparative analysis of the performance of the kisdam jumbo bag method/conventional and kisdam portadam/non-conventional, the results obtained that the jumbo bag/conventional kisdam method requires implementation time of 63 days at a cost of Rp. 44,409,856, - and the portadam/non-conventional kisdam method takes 102 days to implement and costs Rp. 28. 084.442,-.
