Abstract

The core problem of this research focuses on analyzing the influence of socioeconomic factors on the high of early marriage in Empat Lawang Regency. This study specifically aims to test and analyze the causal relationship between key socioeconomic factors, which include respondent’s education level, mother’s education level, father’s education level, parents’ employment status, and household income, on the probability of early marriage occurrence. The primary focus is to identify the strongest predictor variable. This research employs a quantitative approach using descriptive and verification methods, chosen for their effectiveness in statistically measuring and testing hypotheses. The main data were processed through multiple logistic regression analysis. This technique is highly appropriate considering the dependent variable (early marriage) is dichotomous. The sample used consisted of 160 married female respondents, divided into 80 women married under the age of 19 and 80 women married over the age of 20. The empirical analysis results show that several factors statistically influence the probability of early marriage, including the respondent’s education level, father’s education level, and household income. Nevertheless, the test results indicate that the respondent’s education level is the factor with the strongest predictive power and most significant and dominant influence compared to all other independent variables. This finding affirms the crucial role of education as a vital barrier against early marriage and provides a strong foundation for policy intervention. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital financial literacy and financial technology on the implementation of green finance among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in South Sumatra Province. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 150 MSME actors across eight districts and cities. Data were analyzed through validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that digital financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on the implementation of green finance. MSME actors with a high level of digital literacy are better able to utilize technology-based financial services to manage their businesses efficiently and in an environmentally sustainable manner. In addition, financial technology also shows a positive and significant influence on green finance implementation, reflecting that the use of FinTech enhances transaction efficiency, transparency, and access to green financing for MSMEs. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.648 indicates that digital financial literacy and financial technology jointly explain 64.8% of the variation in green finance implementation. These findings suggest that improving digital financial literacy and adopting financial technology are key factors in promoting the implementation of green finance and enhancing MSME performance to become more adaptive to the dynamics of the digital economy. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and digital awareness on the intensity of transactions using QRIS at Karang Taruna Pandansari Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region, in the era of a cashless society. The background of this study was conducted because it observed the phenomenon of the use of non-cash transactions, such as QRIS, which are able to provide convenience, efficiency, and security in daily payment activities. This study used a quantitative method through questionnaire distribution. Then the research instrument was tested for validity and reliability to ensure data accuracy. Data analysis was carried out using the multiple linear regression method to test the influence of independent variables, namely financial literacy and digital awareness, both simultaneously on the intensity of QRIS transactions. The results of this study stated that a better understanding of financial management has a positive and significant impact on the frequency of transactions using QRIS. The more people know about financial management, the more likely they are to use QRIS as a practical, effective, and secure payment tool. It is proven that understanding and skills in digital technology can increase the interest and intensity of people who transact through QRIS. At the same time, financial literacy and digital awareness also have a positive and significant impact on transaction intensity. These two components can work together to encourage people, especially the younger generation, to become more adaptive to advances in contemporary financial technology. Keywords: Digital Awareness, Financial Literacy, Transaction Intensity, QRIS.

Abstract

A company’s financial statements reflect the effectiveness of management in managing the company’s resources. Management may choose which accounting techniques to use in preparing financial statements. One such technique is the principle of accounting conservatism. The application of accounting conservatism in the presentation and disclosure of financial information is important and necessary due to a tendency among management to present financial statements with an overstated bias that can mislead users. This study aims to determine the effect of capital intensity and leverage on accounting conservatism in manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industry sectors listed on the IDX in 2019-2023. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data sources. The population is 365 company annual report data obtained from 73 manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industry sectors. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling of 95 annual report data companies obtained from 19 manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industry sectors. The analysis technique uses multiple linear regression with hypothesis testing, namely partial test (t test) and simultaneous test (f test). The results in this study indicate partially that the capital intensity variable (X1) has a significant negative effect on accounting conservatism (Y) and the leverage variable (X2) has no effect on accounting conservatism (Y). Capital intensity and leverage variables simultaneously affect accounting conservatism. The coefficient of determination (R square) value is 0.116 or 11.6% while the remaining 88.4% is due to other factors. Keywords: Capital Intensity, Leverage, Accounting Conservatism

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of inflation, unemployment, and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the number of poor people in South Sumatra Province during the 2015–2023 period. Poverty remains one of the economic problems that continues to be a major concern for the regional government because it is directly related to community welfare. A high inflation rate can reduce people’s purchasing power, and increased unemployment can decrease community income, while GRDP growth is expected to improve economic activities and public welfare. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the relationship between these macroeconomic variables and the number of poor people. This study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and official regional government publications during a certain period. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of inflation, unemployment, and GRDP on the number of poor people in South Sumatra. The results of the study indicate that unemployment has a positive and significant effect on the number of poor people, while inflation and GRDP have a negative and insignificant effect on the number of poor people. Simultaneously, these three variables have a significant effect on the poverty level in South Sumatra. This study is expected to serve as a consideration for the government in formulating economic policies oriented toward poverty reduction and improving community welfare. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) and Transfers to Regions and Village Funds (TKDD) on local government expenditures in regencies and cities in South Sumatra Province for the 2020–2024 period. The study employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the Budget Implementation Reports of the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. The research sample is determined through purposive sampling, resulting in 17 regencies/cities, including Palembang City, Prabumulih City, Lahat Regency, Banyuasin Regency, and Musi Banyuasin Regency, with a total of 85 observations analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results indicate that PAD and TKDD simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on local government spending, explaining 43.1% of the model's variance. Partially, PAD has a positive and significant effect, but TKDD exerts a far more dominant influence, confirming the flypaper effect due to high local fiscal dependence on central government transfers. The practical implications highlight the critical need for local governments to optimize PAD independently through intensification, extensification, and digitalization of local tax systems. Furthermore, local governments must enhance management efficiency by prioritizing budget allocation toward productive expenditures that support public services. For the central government, these findings imply the necessity of periodic evaluations of transfer fund formulas to ensure better targeting, promote local fiscal autonomy, and minimize the risk of spending inefficiencies at the regional level.  Keywords: Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD), Transfers to Regions and Village Funds (TKDD), Local Government Expenditures, Fiscal Autonomy.

Abstract

This study analyzes the subsidized fuel (BBM Bersubsidi) policy as an instrument for Indonesia's economic stability amid fluctuations in global energy prices. A surge in world energy prices indirectly impacts the rise of commodity prices, increases production costs—specifically driven by higher transportation expenses—and inflates the fiscal burden on the State Budget (APBN). The government plays a crucial role in market intervention to prevent these external shocks from destructively transmitting into the domestic economy. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the government's policy role in maintaining macroeconomic stability amidst a global energy crisis. The method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review, examining various scientific literatures, secondary data, and relevant policies. The results demonstrate that the mix of fiscal policy, monetary policy, and energy governance for subsidized commodities is proven effective in curbing inflation and maintaining economic stability in the short term. However, its long-term effectiveness heavily relies on the resilience of the state budget (APBN) burden. The implications of this study emphasize the necessity of other complementary policies as a follow-up to optimize the subsidized fuel policy, which will impact the economic balance from the short to the long term. These include maintaining national economic stability and growth, creating a favorable investment environment (encompassing the preservation of purchasing power, along with integrated infrastructure), and maintaining public trust and stability toward the Rupiah. Keywords: Economic Stability, Energy Crisis, Fiscal Policy, Monetary Policy.

Abstract

Migrant students often experience unstable financial conditions, face increasing living-cost pressures, and have limited experience in managing personal finances independently. These challenges require adequate financial adaptability to enable students to manage their expenditures effectively and maintain financial stability. This study aims to examine the effects of Self-Control, Income Stability, and Problem-Solving Skill on Budgeting Behavior, both directly and indirectly through the mediating role of Financial Adaptability and the moderating role of Cost of Living Level. A quantitative approach was employed involving 70 migrant students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that Self-Control and Problem-Solving Skill have positive and significant effects on Financial Adaptability, whereas Income Stability does not significantly affect Financial Adaptability. Furthermore, Budgeting Behavior is positively and significantly influenced by Income Stability and Financial Adaptability, while Self-Control, Problem-Solving Skill, and Cost of Living Level do not have significant direct effects on Budgeting Behavior. In addition, Financial Adaptability does not mediate the relationships between the three independent variables and Budgeting Behavior. Likewise, Cost of Living Level does not moderate the relationship between Financial Adaptability and Budgeting Behavior. These findings demonstrate that income stability and financial adaptability play a more substantial role in explaining migrant students’ budgeting behavior than the psychological factors examined in this study. The study highlights the importance of strengthening financial adaptability and maintaining income stability as key determinants of effective budgeting behavior among migrant students. Keywords: Self-Control, Income Stability, Problem-Solving Skill, Financial Adaptability, Budgeting Behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of efficiency and effectiveness of financial management at the Sidoarjo Regency Population and Civil Registration Office for the 2024–2025 period. Efficient and effective financial management is one of the key indicators in achieving good governance and supporting improvements in the quality of public services. The study employs a quantitative descriptive method using a financial ratio analysis approach. Research data were obtained through a review of the Budget Implementation Reports (LRA) for the 2024–2025 period, which included data on budgeted expenditures, actual expenditures, and budget targets. Data analysis was conducted using efficiency and effectiveness ratios. The results show that the financial management efficiency ratio for 2024 was 98.52% and for 2025 was 96.02%. Based on the criteria used in the study, both values fall into the “efficient” category. Meanwhile, the effectiveness ratio for 2024 was 98.52% and for 2025 was 96.02%, indicating that the majority of budget targets were successfully achieved, thus falling into the “effective” category. The research findings indicate that financial management at the Sidoarjo Regency Population and Civil Registration Office has been effective in supporting the achievement of program targets and the optimal delivery of population administration services. Nevertheless, improvements in the quality of budget planning, expenditure control, program performance evaluation, and the use of information technology are still needed to maintain and enhance financial management performance in the future. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of impulse buying and hedonic consumption in the viral fashion skena trend on TikTok on Generation Z overspending. The development of the TikTok social media platform has created a new consumption ecosystem that encourages unplanned purchasing behavior, especially among Generation Z who are the dominant users of the platform. This study uses a quantitative method with an associative approach. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique with a total of 400 Generation Z respondents in East Java who are aware of and directly exposed to the fashion skena trend on TikTok and have purchased fashion products inspired by the viral content. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-4 that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that simultaneously, impulse buying and hedonic consumption have a positive and significant effect on Generation Z overspending in the viral fashion skena trend on TikTok. These findings indicate that the higher the tendency of impulse buying and hedonic consumption triggered by viral fashion content on TikTok, the higher the overspending behavior among Generation Z. This research is expected to contribute to the development of financial literacy and serve as a reference for further research related to digital consumer behavior in the social media era. Keywords: Impulse Buying, Hedonic Consumption, Skena Fashion on TikTok, Overspending, Generation Z.
