This paper discusses how Making Directories Publishing, Printing and Book Stores in the city of Padang. The purpose of this paper is to find a way of making a directory of publishing, printing, and book stores in the city of Padang. The method used in this paper is the observation of spaciousness to know the publishing, printing, and any bookstore in the city of Padang. Based on analyzing the data, it was concluded the following matters. First, based on the findings in the field is known that there are nine pieces of publishing, printing 44, and 12 bookstores in the city of Padang. Second, as for the steps in the manufacturing directory publishing, printing, and book stores in the city of Padang are: (a) data collection; (b) notes the existing data into Microsoft Word; (c) determine the subject; (d) the classification or grouping; (e) Preparation of a directory.Keyword: directory, publishing, printing, book store.

AbstractThis paper discusses the 2015-2018 Accounting Thesis Annotation of Accounting Thesis at the STIE-AKBP Library in Padang. This paper aims to help users and librarians to retrieve information using a means in the form of bibliography. The purpose of writing describes the creation of an annotated bibliography of accounting theses at the STIE-AKBP Padang library. The writing of this paper uses descriptive method. Data obtained from direct collection, which is looking for physical forms of collections in the library. Based on data analysis, the following points are concluded. (1) determination of bibliographic titles; (2) collection of library materials or information tracking, which is carried out by direct search; (3) the selection of library materials, aims to determine the theme of the book to be bibliographically made; (4) grouping or classification, which the bibliography aims to describe the main problems in the book; (5) the making of keywords, aims to describe the issues in the book; (6) index preparation, in which the index taken is the author index, title index, and keyword index; (7) the creation or typing of a bibliographic script, must be in accordance with the rules that have been determined; (8) final bibliographic manuscript examination, in the form of written examination of spelling and punctuation errors, and abbreviations and reversals of the author's adjusted name.Keywords: annotated bibliography, index.

This study aimed to describe: (1) the factors that cause unauthorized borrowing of library materials by users in the Kantor Arsip, Perpustakaan dan Dokumentasi Kota Padang (2) prevention efforts being made to overcome the unauthorized borrowing of library materials by users in the Kantor Arsip, Perpustakaan dan Dokumentasi Kota Padang. The data were collected by means of observation and interviews with librarians. Analyzing data descriptively. First, the unauthorized borrowing (unauthorized borrowing) library materials by users in the Kantor Arsip, Perpustakaan dan Dokumentasi Kota Padang include ease of access that frees users to misuse the collection, the collection of interest such as fiction and novels are widely abused, age of users is still unstable often destructive acts, opening hours are too long operations, the absence of photocopy services, lack of safety, design of buildings and the library that are not optimal in meeting such requirements and convenience of the location, the lack of specialized training for librarians in crime prevention and regulatory library. Second, prevention efforts being made to overcome the unauthorized borrowing of library materials by users, by improving services, facilities, security systems such as the implementation of electronic security systems such as alarm sensors and CCTV. Conduct training for librarians and increase user awareness socialization to keep collections through user education. Keywords: unauthorized borrowing; library materials

This article aims to describe how the preparation of an annotated bibliography Buya Hamka work in UPT. Library of Bung Hatta Bukittinggi. The method used is descriptive method that describes the physical characteristics of library materials to: (1) observation of spaciousness to know the collection Buya Hamka in UPT. Library of Proklamator Bung Hatta Bukittinggi; (2) The record field used to record things during the study. Based on the findings in the field is known that the preparation of bibliographic work Buya Hamka are not in the Library of Proklamator Bung Hatta then in need of making an annotated bibliography. Based on the discussion can be concluded the stage of making the bibliography are: (1) Determination of bibliographic titles; (2) The collection of library materials; (3) Selection of library materials, aims to determine the theme of the bibliography; (4) grouping or classification; (5) Preparation of keywords; (6) Preparation of the index; (7) Making or typing bibliographies; (8) Examination of the final draft of the examination of article bibliographies of errors and spelling and punctuation. InÂ this paperÂ discussedÂ aboutÂ MakingÂ an encyclopediaÂ of cultural heritageÂ in the town of Sawahlunto.Â The purpose ofÂ thisÂ paperÂ is toÂ describeÂ the process of creatingÂ the encyclopedia of cultural heritageÂ in theÂ West SumatraÂ town of Sawahlunto.Â The research methods used in this thesis paper writing is to use descriptive research methods and techniques of data collection was done through direct observation and interviews as well as libraries that use reading materials that are considered important.On the basisÂ of discussionÂ can be concludedÂ stage ofÂ creation ofÂ EncyclopediaÂ of cultural heritageÂ in the townÂ of Sawahlunto areÂ as follows.Â First,Â the collection of data, conductedÂ interviews withÂ staffÂ and observationsÂ relatedÂ directly toÂ the placeÂ of cultural heritage.Â Second,Â content design encyclopedia, before makingÂ aÂ product,Â the author makesÂ the draftÂ form ofÂ the inside ofÂ theÂ product thatÂ will be describedÂ in the form ofÂ a chart.Â Lastly,Â the manufacture ofÂ a product, based on theÂ contents of theÂ draftÂ heritageÂ encyclopedia, thenÂ the last step isÂ the process of creatingÂ the encyclopediaÂ of cultural heritageÂ in the town ofÂ SawahluntoÂ West Sumatra Province as follows: (1) preface containsÂ a couple of paragraphsÂ that containÂ authorÂ creditsÂ to God Almighty,Â toÂ parties who have been helping and giving support,Â the basis and purpose of prototypeÂ encyclopedias, hope,Â and accompaniedÂ with aÂ , month,Â and yearÂ of the bookÂ made byÂ the author.Â (2)Â the table ofÂ contentsÂ to find outÂ whatÂ cultural heritageÂ objectsÂ containedÂ inÂ the encyclopedia.Â (3)Â the content ofÂ theÂ subject matterÂ the book containsÂ articlesÂ aboutÂ cultural heritageÂ objectsÂ that existÂ onÂ the encyclopedia.Â (4)Â the indexÂ of the bookÂ is a list of important words or terms areÂ arrangedÂ alphabeticallyÂ in the backyard.Â (5)Â the front coverÂ (cover)Â is a skinÂ onÂ the outside ofÂ theÂ book thatÂ containsÂ the titleÂ of the book,Â and is accompanied byÂ someÂ supportersÂ of the image.Keywords: cultural, encyclopedia, heritage.

AbstractThis paper discusses the repackaging of information on Tuo Kayu Jao Mosque, Solok Regency in the form of e-books. The purpose of this paper is to describe the repackaging of information on the Tuo Kayu Jao Mosque in Solok Regency in the form of an e-book. In this paper the research method used is descriptive method by collecting data through direct interviews with one person in charge of the Tuo Kayu Jao Mosque, Solok Regency. Based on the discussion it can be concluded that the stages of repackaging information on the Tuo Kayu Jao Mosque in Solok Regency in the form of e-books are as follows: (1) identification of user needs, namely identifying user needs by interviewing visitors to the Tuo Kayu Jao Mosque; (2) information gathering and selection of information sources, i.e. gathering information can be obtained from the interview process with one administrator of the Tuo Kayu Jao Mosque and articles; (3) information packaging, i.e. the packaging of this information is made in the form of electronic books or e-books using Microsoft Word 2007 for editing and rendering into pdf forms; (4) determine the target audience, the target of the writer for the repackaging product information of Tuo Kayu Jao mosque, namely visitors and students who conduct research; (5) establishes the way information is disseminated by uploading products to the internet so that information users can easily access it; (6) transferring information, repackaging products of Tuo Kayu Jao Mosque, Solok Regency in the form of e-books can be transferred to floppy disks, CD-RWs, CD-ROMs, flasdisk to disseminate information; (7) evaluation of the product and the manufacturing process starts from making a writing framework such as a cover, preface, table of contents, content of the discussion and closing.Keywords: information packaging, mosque, e-book.

This paper focuses on a review of the school library to support teaching and learning activities at SMKN 5 Padang. This study aimed to describe: (1) a review of the school library to support teaching and learning activities at SMKN 5 Padang, (2) the constraints that inhibit an overview of school libraries in supporting teaching and learning activities at SMKN 5 Padang. Data were collected through observation and interviews with the head librarian at SMKN 5 Padang. Object of study of this thesis paper is the role of the school library at SMK 5 Padang. The data were analyzed descriptively. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the role of school libraries in supporting teaching and learning activities at SMKN 5 Padang this is not optimal due to inadequate facilities, the number of library managers were not enough human resources to manage and develop the library as a learning resource for students and teachers less professional, a collection of reading materials in the school library less complete, as well as the students' interest in school libraries are very less. This paper discusses the making of a school library management manual in SMA N 1 Painan. The purpose of writing this paper is to know the process of library management in SMA N 1 Painan. The creation of this management guidebook aims to provide information to the librarian in managing the library.The method used is the method of observation. Data were collected through interviews with librarians and field surveys, based on the facts that occurred in the field at SMA N 1 Painan. Observations were made for 14 days.Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the making of library management guide book is to help librarians in managing school library well. With the book management of school libraries in SMA N 1 Painan, can advance the school library tersebut.Pada school library management manual in SMA N 1 Painan can be concluded steps of library management manual book making that is (1) needs analysis, based on the needs of librarians in Managing the school library and also explained about how the procedures and techniques for making library supporting tools; (2) product design to know what items will be described in the library management manual; (3) making of product, done starting from activity of collecting data and information then arranging framework of writing until product making process.Keywords : Managing library, handbook, school library

The purpose of this study is to describe the application of automation systems in library cataloging materials in the Library of the University of Andalas. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method, which describe the data relating to the implementation of the automation system library cataloging materials in the Library of the University of Andalas. To obtain the data used several instruments, namely observation and interview guides. The findings of the study is the application of automation to cataloging library materials not maximized because the computer often suffer damage to its hardware, data book yet fully recorded in the computer, the amount of hardware is less when compared to the amount of data library materials, management automation are not maximized in distributing data to circulation and OPAC, and the number brainware make fewer librarians work slow.

Abstract This article is about making directory of the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau. The purpose of this article are: (1) to describe making directory of the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau, and (2) to describe obstacle and solution of making directory of the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau. This article use descriptive method with observation, interview, and read the literature. Base on result of making directory of the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau, the conclution is. First, making the directory of the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau the steps are: (a) collecting the data about the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau; (b) arrange the data base on alphabet; (c) typing the data with Microsoft Publisher; and (d) designing the cover of directory of the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau. Second, the obstacle in making directory of the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau are: (a) the lack of knowledge about the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau; (b) the difficult thing when collected the data about the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau; (c) the difficult thing when designed layout of directory the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau. Solution of this problem are: (a) collected the data from some literature andÂ to the institute that has data about the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau; (b) direct observation about data to get information about the musical instrument traditional Minangkabau; and (c) designed the layout with simple and not use more colour.Keywords: directory, instrument traditional, Minangkabau
