ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Second, describing fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. Third, describe the contribution of reading skills to fable text comprehension on fable text writing skills of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used in this study is design contribution. The population of this study was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, namely as many as 250 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, which is 48 students. The data of this study were scores on the results of reading skills tests of fable text comprehension and scores on the results of fable text writing skills. The data was obtained through two types of tests, namely objektive to measure reading skills fable text comprehension and performance tests to measure fable text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, reading skills of fable text comprehension of class VII students of SMP Negeri 25 Padang are in good qualification (B) with an average value of 81.31. Second, fable text writing skills of grade VII students of Padang Public Middle School 25 are in good qualification (B) with an average of 77.26. Third, there is a contribution of reading skills in fable text comprehension towards fable text writing skills of class VII students of Padang State Middle School at 53.29%. Kata Kunci: Kontribusi, keterampilan membaca                   pemahaman, keterampilan menulis teks fabelÂ

ABSTRACTThis type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The data of this research are in the form of structure and linguistic elements from students' descriptions. The data source of this research is the description text of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. The research instrument is the researcher himself. Data collection techniques through documentation study. The data collection technique in this research is the triangulation technique (Cross-Check). Data were analyzed by steps, (1) identifying common elements contained in the description text, (2) analyzing the text based on the aspects studied, namely the structure and linguistic elements of the description text, (3) the results of the analysis from the researcher were re-examined by the informant triangulation, (4) make conclusions. Based on the results of the study, the following three things were concluded. First, the structure of the text consists of the identification and description of parts. Identification / General description In the text description of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang as a whole have been identified. Of the 35 data that have identification, there are 11 data that combine identification with the Description section. Next, the general description of the student's writing section is detailed. Evident from 35 texts that have a section description structure there are 14 texts whose description section consists of one paragraph and 1 text whose description of the section joins with identification. Second, in terms of language. The basic pattern of sentences that students use most often is SPK, while the sentence that is used most rarely is SPOPel. Third, the pattern of student reasoning that is most widely used is deductive reasoning. Of the 87 paragraphs there are 70 paragraphs using deductive reasoning, 2 paragraphs using inductive reasoning, and 15 paragraphs of incorrect reasoning patterns. Kata kunci:Struktur, Kalimat, Pola Penalaran Teks Deskripsi

ABSTRACTThe problem studied was the teacher's expressive speech act and the politeness principle used by the Indonesian language teacher in class VII 1 Padang 34 Middle School. In this study, the types of expressive speech acts and language politeness principles were described which were used by Indonesian language teachers in class VII 1 of Padang State Middle School 34. Data collection is done by referring to the method. The method of referencing is listening to the use of language to obtain lingual data. The techniques used in this study are (1) recording technique, is a listening activity using a recording device, (2) recording technique, is the activity of recording data that has been recorded. Based on the data analysis conducted it can be concluded as follows. First, the results of this study indicate that Indonesian language teachers in class VII 1 of SMP Negeri 34 Padang used six types of expressive speech acts, namely expressive speech criticizing, expressive speech acts praising, expressive speech acts blaming, expressive speech acts thanking, speech acts expressive condolences, and expressive speech acts apologize. The most dominant speech act found is expressive speech criticism and the least is expressive speech act apologizing. Secondly, the politeness principle of Indonesian language teachers in class VII 1 of SMP Negeri 34 Padang uses the maxim of generosity, maxim of wisdom, maxim of appreciation, maxim of consensus, maxim of simplicity, and maxim of conclusions. The most dominant method used by Indonesian teachers in class VII 1 is the maxim of generosity and the most used is the maxim of conclusions. Kata Kunci: Kesantunan, Tindak Tutur Ekspresif

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the sentences in the explanatory text of students in terms of four things. First, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of structural clarity, there are 78 (19.60%) errors. The ineffectiveness of the sentence is in the active / passive structure (1 error), the subject is not an explanation (21 errors), the predicate is not lost (28 errors), the description is not in the form of a subject (4 errors), and the subject is not lost (25 errors). Second, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of logical meaning there are 76 (19.09%) errors. The ineffectiveness of the sentence lies in the logical relationship S and P (52 errors) and the logical relationship of details or parallel meaning (23 errors). Third, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of word saving is 142 (35.68%) errors. The ineffectiveness of the sentence is on one subject from the same subject (46 errors), one word from several synonymous words (21 errors), and the required word (115 errors). Fourth, the effectiveness of sentences in terms of word rigidity there are 102 (25.63%) errors. Based on these results it can be concluded that the sentences in the explanatory text of eighth grade students of SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium Laboratory are not effective. This is evidenced from the 221 sentences studied, there were 31 (14.03%) effective sentences and 190 (85.97%) ineffective sentences with 398 errors. Kata kunci: Keefektifan Kalimat, Teks Eksplanasi

ABSTRACT This article reveals the correlation of reading comprehension skills with writing skills of explanatory texts grade students XI SMA Negeri Padang 14. There are three purposes of this study. First, to describe the reading comprehension skills of class XI SMA Negeri 14 Padang. Second, to describe the explanatory text writing skills of class XI SMA Negeri 14 Padang . Third, to describe the correlation of reading comprehension skills with explanatory text writing skills in class XI SMA Negeri 14 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used in this study is correlation design. The population of this study is was XI SMA Negeri 14 who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year, which was 273 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population which is 40 students. The research data is in the form of scores on the result of explanatory writing skills. The istrument of this study is an objective test to measure comprehension reading skills and performance tests to measure explanatory writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, the reading comprehension skills of students XI SMA Negeri 14 Padang are in good qualification (B). Second, explanatory text writing skills of students  XI SMA Negeri 14 Padang are in good qualification (B). Third, reading comprehension skills have a significant correlation with explanatory text writing skills of the eleventh grade students XI SMA Negeri 14 Padang of  at 76%, while remaining 24% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Kata kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan, Membaca Pemahaman, Menulis, Teks Eksplanasi

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe reading skills, writing skills and describe the contribution of reading skills to the description of text description skills in writing description texts of class VII students of SMP Negeri 13 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The population of this study was Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 13 Padang, which were 224 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, namely 35 students. The results of the study on reading skills in understanding the description text of students are in good qualification (B) with an average of 82.71. In writing description text skills students are in good qualification (B) with an average of 83.10. On the contribution of reading skills, the understanding of the description text towards the students' writing text writing skills is 94.48%. The better the reading skill of understanding the description text, the better the writing skills of the text description. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, it describes the reading skills of news comprehension of VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. Second, describe the news text writing skills. Third, describe the correlation of reading news comprehension with news writing skills. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive methods. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Solok. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling 15% of the population. The data of this study were in the form of scores on the reading comprehension test results of news comprehension and scores on the results of writing news text skills. This research instrument is an objective test to measure reading comprehension skills of news and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. Three results of this study. First, the reading skills of news comprehension in good qualifications (B) with an average grade of 78.56. Secondly, news writing skills in good qualifications (B) with an average of 77.78. Third, there is a correlation between reading comprehension and news writing skills with news text with n-1 degrees of freedom at a 95% confidence level. T value (3.77) is greater than t table (1.72), that is tcount> t table (3.77> 1.72), thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the test results prove that tcount is greater than t table.    Kata kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Berita, Keterampilan          menulis berita

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describing the skill of writing fable texts of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan before using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Second, describing the skill of writing fable texts of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan after using discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media. Third, describing the influence of discovery learning models assisted by audiovisual media on fable text writing skills of seventh grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The design of this study was one group pretest and posttest design. The population in this study were 167 students. The sample in this study were 28 students who were determined using purposive sampling technique. The variable of this research is fable text writing skills before and after using the discovery learning learning model assisted by audiovisual media of VII grade students of UPT SMP Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. The instrument of this research is the performance test. The results of this study are three, namely as follows. First, fable text writing skills before using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media of VII grade students of UPT SMP 1 Koto XI Tarusan are more than Sufficient (LdC) qualifications with an average of 72.62. Second, fable text writing skills after using the discovery learning model assisted by audiovisual media in seventh grade students of UPT SMP 1 Koto XI Tarusan are in a Good qualification (B) with an average of 81.25. Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H_1) is received at a significant level of 95% and the degree of freedom (dk) = n-1 because of tcount> t table, which is 2.73> 1.70. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model discovery learning, keterampilan menulis teks fabel.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe the environmental field vocabulary mastery of grade VIII MTs.N. 2 southern coast. Second, it describes the writing skills text beritasiswa class VIII MTs.N. 2 SelatanKetiga Coast, describing the correlation field environmental vocabulary mastery with the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTs.N. 2 southern coast. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used is a korelasional design. Population research is grade VIII MTs.N 2 southern coast that are listed in the 2018/2019, i.e., 223 students. The research sample is determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, namely 45 pupils. The results of the research there are three. First, mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment students of class VIII MTs.N 2 located on the southern coast of qualifications either (B) with an average value of 78.81. Secondly, the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTs.N. 2 located on the southern coast of qualifications either (B) with an average of 79.54. Third, there is a correlation of mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment with the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTs.N 2 southern coast on a 95% confidence level with n-2 degrees of freedom. the value of thitung > ttabel (5.01 > 1.68). Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Kotakata Bidang Lingkungan Hidup, Menulis, Teks Berita

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the following matters. First, it describes the reading skills of students in class VII of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. Secondly, it describes the writing skills of the description text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. Third, explaining the relationship between reading comprehension skills and description writing skills for grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. The population of this research is VII grade students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang who are enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year with 256 students spread in eight classes. The sample in this study amounted to 48 people. Samples were taken using a simple random technique with a proportion of 20% using a proportional random sampling technique. Based on the results of the study, the following three things were concluded. First, the reading skills of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang meet good qualifications. This is calculated based on an average count of 81.80. Second, the writing skills of the description text of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang in accordance with qualifications is more than enough. This can be seen from the average description text written test of 79.51. Third, a significant discussion between reading comprehension skills and description writing skills of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang at n-1 degrees of freedom and a significant level of 95%. H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted because the results prove the value of tcount is greater than t table 8.01> 1.68. Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Deskripsi
