Abstract

In doing sewing work, a tailor will arrange the work-place and the table into the most comfortable position which is sometimes a bit low and will cause the back to bend slightly and automatically the shoulders will be lifted to feel comfortable in sewing activities. A sedentary and monotonous position will burden the neck, shoulders, arms so that fatigue / discomfort / pain in the neck and upper-back area often occurs. Neck pain is pain is felt at the top of the spine. This is a sign that the joints, muscles or other parts of the neck are injured, strained or not functioning as they should. Neck pain is also a common problem. Two out of three people will experience it in their lifetime. To determine the difference between Mc Kenzie Exercise and Neck Stabilization Exercise Interventions on reducing neck pain in tailors at Bangko Lereng Market who came to Suparno's Independent Physiotherapy Practice. This research design uses a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test two group design using a purposive sampling technique. The population in this study were 25 employees and the samples were taken from 20 employees, who tailor garments at the Lereng market with neck pain. there is an impact of Mc Kenzie Exercise on reducing neck pain. There is an impact of Neck Stabilization Exercise on reducing neck pain there is no difference between Mc Kenzie Exercise intervention and the provision of Neck Stabilization Exercise in reducing neck pain. there is an effect of giving Mc Kenzie Exercise and Neck Stabilization Exercise interventions in reducing neck pain, but there is no difference in the intervention between those two. It is hoped that the sample can perform the movements that have been taught by the researcher independently in order to reduce neck pain

Abstract

Phlebitis is an inflammation of the veins caused by the act of administering intravenous therapy by nurses while the patient is in hospital. the incidence of phlebitis can also be influenced by the knowledge of the nurse providing care. Standard Operating Procedures (SPO) are intended to eliminate doubts and serve as guidelines for nurses when carrying out activities that must be adjusted to institutional policies and standards, and must be updated whenever necessary. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the accuracy of the SOP for infusion and signs of phlebitis. The research design was observational with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using purposive sampling with a sample size of 67 respondents to patients and 20 samples of respondents to nurses. Correlation test using Spearmen Rho. This study showed a crosstab of 19.4% of respondents showed signs of phlebitis if the SOP for infusion was done incorrectly and if the SOP for infusion was carried out correctly, 52.2% of the respondents did not have any signs of phlebitis. The results showed that the Spearmen Rho correlation test obtained p = 0.000 or p> 0.05, then H1 was accepted, with a 95% confidence level, it could be concluded that the accuracy of the implementation of the SOP for infusion was associated with signs of phlebitis. The value of the correlation coefficient (r) shows a negative sign with a value of -0.546, which means that the accuracy of the SOP for infusion is inversely proportional to the signs of phlebitis.

Abstract

One of the sign and symptoms of hypertension is headache. Headache occur due to atherosclerosis which causes spasm of the blood vessels (arteries) and decreased oxygen in the brain. The pain can be treated with non pharmacological management, one of which is a warm gingger compress (zingiber officinale). The purpose of this research activity was to measure the effect of giving warm ginger compresses on reducing the headache scale in hypertensive patients at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. The type of research used in this study is a quasi experimental approach with a one group pretest-posttest design approach, with a purposive sampling technique. Giving warm ginger compresses to 37 patients suffering from hypertension at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. Data collection was carried out using observation sheets and providing an intervention with warm ginger compresses in hypertensive patients. Observations of headaches in hypertensive patients carried out twice, namely before being given a warm ginger compress and after being given a ginger warm compress then the results were recorded on the observation sheet. Teh results of statistical tests using the paired test showed the value of p=0,000, p<? (0,000<0,05). The results obtained showed that there was a decrease in the level of headache in hypertensive patients before and after being given warm ginger compresses. It is expected that nurses can minimize the use of analgesic drugs to reduce headaches and use warm compresses for non pharmacological management.

Abstract

The incidence of Covid-19 cases continues to increase from day to day so that health workers as the front line are increasingly stressed due to the increasing workload, worrying about their health, and families who have an impact on health workers will experience increased anxiety. The perception of health workers about COVID-19 is closely related to the level of anxiety. A positive perception of a disease will experience mild anxiety. A negative perception of a disease can also make the level of anxiety higher. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between perception and level of anxiety. The research design is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional approach. Sampling using purposive sampling with a sample of 65 respondents. Data analysis using Pearson product moment correlation test. The results showed the significance value of perception with anxiety level was 0.084 (> 0.05). The results showed that there was no relationship between the perceptions of nurses at Karsa Husada Batu General Hospital about Covid-19 and anxiety. This is supported by nurses' perceptions of Covid-19 being in the moderate category, while nurses' anxiety about Covid-19 is in the moderate category. This means that nurses perceive Covid-19 as a flu that does not need to be feared. In addition, the high level of education and knowledge of nurses, the experience of nurses, the readiness of the Karsa Husada Batu Hospital in facing the maximum Covid-19 pandemic in the form of the application of 3M, the availability of adequate PPE greatly affects the perception and anxiety of nurses about COVID-19. For further researchers, it is hoped that they can conduct further research on the factors that can affect anxiety about Covid-19. It is also necessary to do similar research with other variables with additional measurements.
