Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the effect of the work environment, discipline and technical training on the performance of technical employees at the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of North Sumatra Province with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The research method in this study used descriptive analysis methods and verification analysis. The population in this study were all employees working at the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of North Sumatra Province, amounting to 89 people. Of the 89 respondents who were sent a list of questions through the Whatapps application in the form of google form, only 70 respondents filled out the complete list of questions. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that: (1) Partially the variables of work environment, work discipline, training and job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on the performance of the employees of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of North Sumatra Province; (2) Work environment and work discipline have no significant effect on performance through job satisfaction of employees of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of North Sumatra Province, and (3) Simultaneously the variables of work environment, work discipline, training and job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on performance of employees of the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources of North Sumatra Province

Abstract

PT. Berdikari Karunia Abadi is a consulting and contractor service company that implements welfare programs to increase employee motivation in running its business. The welfare program includes the economy, facilities, and services. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using multiple linear regression analysis which is processed with the help of the SPSS application program. Population 376 employees; sampling by Quota Sampling, the number of samples is 79 respondents. The conclusions of this study: (1) there is a positive but not significant effect of the welfare program which is facility on employees' work motivation as indicated by the value of 2 0.046, t value 0.041, and sig. 0.653. (2) there is a positive but not significant effect of economic welfare programs on employee work motivation as indicated by the value of 1 0.083, t value 0.082 and sig. 0.443. (3) there is a positive influence of economic welfare programs, facility welfare programs, and service welfare programs together on employee work motivation as indicated by the F value of 10,231, the value of sig. 0.000 and the value of R2 is 0.296. This means that 29.6% of employee morale is influenced by economic welfare programs, facilities welfare programs, and service welfare programs, while 71.0% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. (4) there is a positive influence of service-based welfare programs on employee work motivation as indicated by the value of 3 0.480, t value 0.450 and sig. 0.000.

Abstract

Investments can be made in various types in the financial market. Some of them are gold, stock, foreign exchange and deposit investments. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is very difficult to make profitable and safe investments. This research was conducted to determine which types of investments are safe to do during the COVID-19 pandemic. By using the Kruskal Wallis test, which is non-parametric statistics, which is an alternative to the one-way ANOVA test that can be used if the sample is not normally distributed. From the results of the Kruskal Wallis Test, it was found that the most profitable type of investment in the financial market during the covid-19 pandemic was stock investment and the results of statistical tests showed that there were significant differences that were profitable from the types of investments in gold, stocks, and foreign exchange.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of service quality consisting of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, tangible, partial and simultaneous empathy on inpatient satisfaction at Bina Kasih General Hospital Medan. . The population of all BPJS Mandiri patients hospitalized at Bina Kasih Hospital, Medan. The sample is 96 respondents, the data collection method is through questionnaires and documentation, the analysis method is multiple regression. The regression equation: KP = 2.641 + 0.305K + 0.108Kt + 0.103Ky + 0.203B + 0.131E means that reliability, responsiveness, confidence, tangibles and empathy have a positive effect on patient satisfaction and the reliability dimension has a greater influence on inpatient satisfaction compared to other variables. The results of the F test indicate that reliability, responsiveness, confidence, tangibles and empathy have a simultaneous and significant effect on patient satisfaction, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of the t-test showed that reliability, responsiveness, confidence, tangibles and empathy had a partial and significant effect on patient satisfaction, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The value of the determinant coefficient (R Square) is 0.514, meaning that inpatient satisfaction can be explained by the dimensions of service quality (reliability, responsiveness, confidence, tangibles and empathy) of 51.4% while another 48.6% is explained by other unexplained factors. in this research such as security, promotion and communication. The Bina Kasih Hospital Medan should improve the quality of service regarding the variables of responsiveness, confidence/guarantee, tangible and empathy.

Abstract

Investors in investing in the capital market need to pay attention to two things, namely: the level of risk and the expected return. In determining the expected return, the CAPM and APT methods can be used. This study is intended to identify and explain which method is more accurate in predicting returns. To achieve this purpose, a study was conducted on the shares of companies included in the LQ45 group on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a sample of 33 company shares with a research period of 2018 - 2020. By using the t test on MAD it can be stated that: the CAPM method is more accurate in predicting returns expected when compared with the APT method

Abstract

This study examines the Effect of Liquidity and Profitability on Financial Distress with Corporate Governance as a Moderating Variable in Basic and Chemical Industry Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2020 period. Research variables, independent variables: Liquidity is proxied by Current Ratio (X1), Profitability is proxied by Net Profit Margin (X2), Dependent variable (Y): Financial Distress and moderating variable (Z): Corporate Governance is proxied by board of commissioner size. Determination of the sample by purposive sampling obtained as many as 22 companies. Method of data analysis with multiple linear regression. The results of the study, the first hypothesis partially: the liquidity variable proxied by the Current Ratio has a significant effect on Financial Distress, the Profitability variable proxied by the Net Profit Margin has a significant effect on Financial Distress. Simultaneously: Current Ratio (X1) and Net Profit Margin (X2) have a significant effect on financial distress. The value of R Square shows that 34.2% of the dependent variable (financial distress) can be explained by the Current Ratio and Net Profit Margin, while the remaining 65.8% is explained by other variables not examined in this study. The second hypothesis: corporate governance is not able to moderate the relationship between the Current Ratio with financial distress and corporate governance is not able to moderate the relationship between Net Profit Margin and financial distress.

Abstract

Work motivation pertains to the factors that impact the initiation, direction, and persistence of activity in the workplace. Motivation in this work setting is strongly linked to organizational factors influenced by transformational leadership and organizational culture, which enhance organizational effectiveness. The test was conducted on public servants at the sub-district office in the Sidikalang district of North Sumatra. This research aims to investigate the correlation between transformational leadership and work motivation, and to evaluate organizational culture as a mediator between transformational leadership and work motivation. A quantitative non-probability sampling procedure was employed to acquire 45 respondents. Variable data is evaluated using a Likert scale. The data analysis method employs structural equation modeling (SEM) through the usage of SmartPLS 3.0. The analytical findings show that organizational culture has a mediating role in the relationship between transformational leadership and job motivation. Transformational leadership and organizational culture positively influence consumer satisfaction. The organization has combined transformational leadership and organizational culture to enhance employee work motivation, leading to improved organizational performance.
