Abstract

The purpose of this study is to influence the effect of exchange rates, interest rates, inflation and Gross Domestic Product on stock prices with profitability as an intervinig variable in manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This type of research is explanatory. The population in this study were all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as many as 159 companies with a total sample of 61 companies. The type of data used is secondary data collected by documentation techniques. The results showed that the exchange rate had a negative and significant effect on profitability, SBI interest rates, inflation and Gross Domestic Product partially had a positive and significant effect on profitability, exchange rate variables, SBI interest rates, inflation and Gross Domestic Product simultaneously had a significant effect on profitability, exchange rates and SBI interest rates partially have a negative and significant effect on stock prices, inflation, and Gross Domestic Product and Return on Assets have a positive and significant effect on stock prices, and exchange rate variables, SBI interest rates, inflation, and Domestic Product Gross and profitability simultaneously have an effect and are significant on stock prices.

Abstract

This study aims to provide empirical evidence of the influence of unemployment and inflation for poverty. The type of data used in this study is primary data with quantitative research method using multiple linear regression analysis technique and test hypotheses processed with Eviews 10. The result of data analysis showed that unemployment and inflation has a significant impact on the poverty. Seen from coefficient of determination that unemployment and inflation for poverty affect 63.95%, while the remaining 36.05% influenced by the others thay not included in this research.

Abstract

Gold is a profitable investment from other types of investment. The price of gold in Indonesia increases every year. This is caused by several factors, namely US Dollar exchange rate, deposit interest rate, inflation, GDP per capita, and gold production. The Data used is time series data from 1990 – 2020 which are from Bank Indonesia, Kementerian Perdagangan, BPS Indonesia dan Gold Price. The research method is multiple linear regression. The result showed by partial test (t-test) that US Dollar exchange rate has a negative effect not significant on the price of gold, deposit interest rate has a significant negative effect on the price of gold, inflation has a positive effect not significant on the price of gold, GDP per capita has a significant positive effect on the price of gold, and the production of gold has a significant positive effect on the price of gold. For F-test US Dollar exchange rate, deposit interest rate, inflation, GDP per capita, and gold production has a significant effect on the price of gold. The Coefficient of Determination (R2) can be said that variance price of gold is 97,4% explained by US Dollar exchange rate, deposit interest rate, inflation, GDP per capita, gold production and the remaining is 2,6% explained by the other variables outside the research model such as Indonesia Composite Index (ICI), World Crude Oil Prices and the others.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of visionary leadership, communication and compensation on employee performance at PT. Bintang Mandiri Abadi Jaya Medan. This research was conducted for 7 (seven) months, start from February 2019 until August 2019. This research use descriptive and quantitative methods. The respondents of this research are all employee at PT. Bintang Mandiri Abadi Jaya Medan which amounted to 83 (eighty three) employee. The instrument is used a questionnaire to collent data from visionary leadership variable, communication variable, compensation variable and employee performance variable. Data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, descriptive analysis, normality test, heteroskedasticity test, multicolinearity test,multiple linear regression analysis, multiple linear correlation coefficient test, partial hypothesis test ot t test, simultaneous hypothesis test or f test, and calculation of coefficient of determination. The result of descriptive analysis for visionary leadership variable, communication variable, compensation variable and employee performance are in good category at PT. Bintang Mandiri Abadi Jaya Medan. Based on partial analysis, visionary leadership, communication and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. Bintang Mandiri Abadi Jaya Medan. Simultaneously, visionary leadership, communication, compensation have a positive and significant influence on employee performance at PT. Bintang Mandiri Abadi Jaya Medan. The contribution of visionary leadership variable, communication variable and compensation variable to improve the employee performance variable is 0,805 or 80,5 %, while rest of 0,195 or 19,5 % influenced by other variable not examined by writer in this research, such as work commitment, work enviroment, work discipline, work motivation, job satisfaction and another else.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how big influence of entrepreneurial knowledge to entrepreneurship interests Student Program the Study of Faculty of Management of Saint Thomas Catholic University Medan. Research type used by descriptive and kuantitatif. Sampel research as much 96 Responder with the method of maximum sampling error intake from population conducted at random (random sampling). Data required to be collected through kuesioner by online. Method Analyse the data used is with the simple linear regression analysis. Result of research descriptively that entrepreneurial knowledge of Student Program the dominant Management Study agree equal to 51,04 % to entrepreneurial knowledge. While equal to 44,17 % that entrepreneurial knowledge can support the Student to hanker the entrepreneurship. Result of examination obtained: 1). Coefficient Determinasi ( R2) equal to its 0,230 meaning entrepreneurial knowledge able to explain the entrepreneurship interests of Student equal to 23,0 %, and 77,0 % is again influenced by other;dissimilar factor which is not explained this research (for example introductory sinergi entrepreneurial knowledge of Business, Makerting, e-commerce). 2). Equation of Regresi Y = 1.966+0,490+e. Where about mount the signifikan 0.000 < 0,05, by t-hitung equal to 5.306 > t-tabel equal to 1,65 hence Ho refused its meaning entrepreneurial knowledge own the influence which are positive and signifikan to entrepreneurship interests of Student. Suggested: 1). Because coefficient determinasi ( R2) still equal to its 0,230 meaning still lower the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge able to explain the entrepreneurship interests of Student, hence to support and also to grow the entrepreneurial knowledge of Student needed the make-up of items more aplikatif with the support sinergi from entrepreneurial knowledge other; dissimilar like Business. Marketing, e-commerce.2). Because reason appearance there still donot hanker and reason hanker the entrepreneurship from Student, hence to overcome it have righteously University of Roman of Santo Thomas Medan form the Unit of Student Co-Operation as training basin and or place learn the entrepreneurship for Student support they become the entrepreneurial to be getting out of unemployment later. 3). For the research of here in after better add the other; dissimilar variable outside this research which can explain the variable of dependen of entrepreneurship interests of Student like opportunity, personality, motivate the entrepreneurship, environmental of family after student become the collegiate and others

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial performance as measured by Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Total Asset Turnover (TATO), Return On Equity (ROE), and Earning Per Share (EPS) on stock prices at LQ45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research was conducted using secondary data with documentation techniques obtained through annual reports published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, which can be viewed on the website www.idx.co.id. The population in this study was 45 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2015-2018 period. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. The total sample of this study was 27 companies. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis techniques by performing the classical assumption test, t-test, and F test where the significance level is 5%. The results of t-test research show that CR has a negative and significant effect on stock prices, DER has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, TATO has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, ROE has a negative and significant effect on stock prices, EPS has a positive and significant effect on stock prices. The results of the F test study indicate that CR, DER, TATO, ROE, and EPS have a simultaneous and significant effect on stock prices

Abstract

Information about willingness to pay (WTP) essentially aims to protect consumers from the abuse of monopoly power owned by companies in the supply of quality products and prices. The consumer's WTP of a product can be an appropriate basis in determining the pricing policy for a product because he can reveal the true value or price of the product based on consumer perception. The price proxy with the WTP can still meet the assumption of the traditional demand model (Marshallian demand model) where the price is not set (regulated) by the government. WTP can be obtained by using a contingent valuation method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Likuiditas, Aktivitas, Solvabilitas dan Profitabilitas terhadap Return Saham pada perusahaan sektor consumer goods yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan data sekunder dengan teknik dokumentasi yang diperoleh melalui situs www.idx.co.id. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perusahaan sektor consumer goods yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode 2015-2018 sebanyak 42 perusahaan. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode Purposive Sampling dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 25 perusahaan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda dengan melakukan uji asumsi klasik terlebih dahulu, kemudian uji t dan uji F dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa Likuiditas berpengaruh positif secara parsial dan signifikan terhadap Return Saham, Aktivitas berpengaruh positif secara parsial dan signifikan terhadap Return Saham, Solvabilitas berpengaruh positif secara parsial dan signifikan terhadap Return saham dan Profitabilitas berpengaruh negatif secara parsial dan signifikan terhadap Return Saham. Hasil uji F juga menunjukkanbahwa Likuiditas, Aktivitas, Solvabilitas dan Profitabilitas berpengaruh secara simultan dan signifikan terhadap Return Saham.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of knowledge, abilities, and work experience towards employee performance at PT. Hilon Sumatera. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression analysis. The amount of population in this study is 53 people. The sampling method used is by doing census so that the amount of samples is also 53 people. The data was collected by using questionnaire, interview, and documentation study. From the result of the research, it is discovered that the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0,593 or 59,3%. This means that the variations in employee working performance can be determined by variations in organizational commitment and working discipline by 59,3%, while the rest 40,7% is determined by other variables not included in this research, such as motivation, working discipline, morale, supervision, and leadership method. The multiple linear regression equation obtained from the data processing result is Y=6,161+0,346X1+0,286X2+0,186X3+ ei, which means that knowledge, abilities, and working experience are positively affecting the employee performance at PT. Hilon Sumatera. Hypothesis testing simultaneously shows that knowledge, abilities, and working experience are having a significant effect towards employee performance at PT. Hilon Sumatera. Partial Hypothesis Test (T Test) shows that knowledge has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a significance level of 0,000 < α (0,05), ability with a significance level of 0,005>α (0,05), and working experience with a significance level of 0,013< α (0,05). Refering to the results of this study, it is reccomended that PT. Hilon Sumatera should develop and maintain the indicators that are available on knowledge, abilites, and working experience.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine and explain the effect of social media promotion and service quality on purchasing decisions. To achieve this goal, research was conducted at Social Media Café Abdullah Lubis using 100 people as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and the analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed: First, social media promotion has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Second, service quality has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. Third, service quality plays a greater role in increasing the sensitivity of consumer purchases when compared to social media promotion. Fourth, consumer characteristics are also important variables in increasing consumer decisions in buying products. Fifth, social media promotion and service quality are able to explain variations in purchasing decisions by 87.7 percent.
