Abstract

This research aims to develop E-LKPD (electronic Student Worksheet) teaching materials using the Live worksheet web platform on human digestive system material for class XI high school students. The background to this research is the need for innovative and interactive teaching materials that can support effective and efficient learning processes in the digital era. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model (define, design, development, disseminate. The results of the analysis of the main needs for teaching materials show that 100% of the 7 students are interested in studying the biology of the human digestive system using mobile phones, as many as 100% of the 7 students need alternative teaching materials that can be used to study the digestive system and 100% of students agree to develop electronic-based teaching materials on the human digestive system.

Abstract

Science literacy is a critical competency in the 21st century, equipping students with the skills to understand, evaluate, and apply scientific concepts in real-world contexts. This review examines the impact of various learning models and media on improving students’ science literacy. The study synthesizes findings from recent research to explore how instructional approaches such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), and Blended Learning promote students’ ability to think critically and solve scientific problems. In addition, the role of digital and traditional media, including virtual simulations, e-modules, and hands-on laboratory activities, is discussed in promoting engagement and conceptual understanding. Key factors influencing the effectiveness of learning models and media are also analyzed. The review highlights gaps in current studies and identifies best practices for implementing learning strategies that support science literacy. This article aims to provide evidence-based insights to educators, researchers, and policymakers to design effective instructional strategies that foster scientifically literate individuals.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to determine the profile of critical thinking skills of Class VII middle school students on ecology and biodiversity material using quantitative descriptive research with data collection techniques using tests, analysis using a quantitative approach consisting of empirical validity, reliability, differentiation, level of difficulty and data analysis scores, and research design using pretest - posttest design, data collection techniques using critical thinking questionnaires, data analysis techniques by looking at interpretation results and N - Gain. The research results of students' critical thinking skills at the beginning of the test (pre-test) reached an average score of 47.49, while the average score of students at the end of learning (posttest) reached 64.09. Based on the interpretation results, it shows that the pre-test results are in the poor category with a total of 63 students (100%), while the post-test scores in the interpretation results show that there are 17 students (26.98%) in the sufficient category and 46 students (73.02%) in the insufficient category. So it can be said that there may be many factors that cause students to lack enthusiasm in science subjects on ecology and biodiversity, including the lack of variety in the methods used in teaching.

Abstract

Conservation of biodiversity in Indonesia is very important. This condition is supported by the high diversity owned but very minimal conservation efforts. Collaborative action between local communities and scientists in learning is needed to support conservation through education. Therefore, it is important to analyze the potential of citizen science projects in biodiversity lessons. This study aims to investigate the potential of citizen science projects and the condition of biodiversity learning in schools. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative. The sampling technique used random sampling with data collection using interviews, questionnaire distribution, and literature study. The results obtained show that citizen science projects have great potential in supporting biodiversity learning in Indonesia with local knowledge owned by indigenous peoples. The results are reinforced by data from students and teachers who agree to support citizen science project innovations in conscious, meaningful, and fun learning. This research reveals learning innovations that become alternatives in learning biodiversity in the success of learning outcomes in the form of conservation through education.
