Abstract

The Posyandu Life Cycle Training Program is a human resource development program for cadres that encompasses community health services across all stages of life, from infancy to old age. However, in its implementation, the Puskesmas have several challenges as the program is still in its early stages, and training for village cadres has only been conducted in two villages. These challenges include limited knowledge and understanding of the cadres, as well as a lack of skills and communication. This research aims to determine the relationship between the Posyandu Life Cycle Training Program and the performance of village cadres within the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Pupuan I. This research uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach, involving 185 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire covering respondent characteristics, participation in training, and cadre performance. The chi-square test results showed a significant relationship between training and the performance quantity of village cadres in the UPTD Puskesmas Pupuan I area (p = 0.000). In addition, length of service was also significantly associated with performance quantity (p = 0.013). Observations also indicated that, overall the Posyandu in the UPTD Puskesmas Pupuan I area had implemented the Life Cycle Posyandu program. However, out of the seven Posyandu observed, only two were found to have implemented the Life Cycle Posyandu properly. This was evident from the activeness of the cadres and the participation of Posyandu attendees across all life stages, including pregnant women, infants, toddlers, adolescents, and the elderly. It is expected that the Puskesmas can provide regular training and refreshment sessions for the Posyandu program, and that village cadres can become more active in Posyandu implementation while mastering the 25 essential cadre skills that are crucial for the success of the Life Cycle Posyandu program. Abstract

Manual outpatient registration often leads to long queues, especially during the first 105 minutes after the service opens, causing patients to experience waiting times that exceed the standard (±8.8 minutes per patient compared to the 5–7-minute standard). Puskesmas Lerep has provided an online registration service through the Mobile JKN application since 2024. However, the utilization of this online service remains suboptimal, as most patients continue to register manually, and registration waiting times are still above the minimum service standard. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the online registration system for outpatient services using the 5M approach (Man, Material, Method, Machine, and Money). A descriptive qualitative method was employed. Data were collected through interviews and observations conducted at Puskesmas Lerep, Semarang Regency, in August 2025. The results indicate that the technical implementation of the online registration system is functioning well and there are no complaints regarding the system’s interface. However, elderly patients are unable to operate the Mobile JKN application, leading them to prefer registering directly at the puskesmas. The Man aspect worked adequately as staff could operate the system well and maintain smooth inter-unit communication. The Material aspect was considered sufficient, although small technical issues such as manual data updates remained. The Method aspect was consistently applied according to regulations. The Machine aspect functioned stably with minimal problems such as occasional internet connection disruptions. Meanwhile, the Money aspect still depended on funding submissions to the Health Office. Overall, the online registration system at Lerep Primary Healthcare improved service efficiency but required enhancements in outreach and equipment maintenance. Abstract

Anemia is a condition of low hemoglobin levels in the blood that leads to a decrease in the number of red blood cells. It is the second leading cause of disability in the world and a global public health issue. In Palembang City, the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls reached 26.5%. If left untreated, anemia can continue into adulthood and increase the risk of pregnancy complications, such as maternal death, premature birth, and low birth weight babies. One of the causes is the low behavior of adolescent girls regarding anemia prevention. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of counseling through lecture method and flipchart media on the behavior of adolescent girls about anemia prevention at SMAN 14 Palembang. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a two group pretest-posttest design on 70 female students of class X and XI, who were randomly divided into two groups, namely lecture and flipchart. Results showed an increase in knowledge, attitudes, and actions in both groups after counseling. In the lecture group, knowledge increased from 61.43 to 77.43, attitude from 54.29 to 74.71, and action from 78.43 to 89.14. In the flipchart group, knowledge increased from 70.57 to 82.86, attitude from 59.00 to 75.29, and action from 79.29 to 89.71. Wilcoxon test showed p = 0.000 in all variables of both groups. Nutrition counseling through lecture method and flipchart media is effective in improving adolescent girls' behavior in anemia prevention. Thus, nutrition counseling through lectures and flip charts proved to be effective in improving adolescent girls' behavior related to anemia prevention. Abstract

Pharmaceutical services are governed by various laws and regulations that apply to pharmacy professionals and pharmacy operators. Pharmacy professionals are obligated to provide services in accordance with professional standards and applicable standard operating procedures. This study was conducted to examine patient satisfaction with pharmaceutical services at pharmacies from a health law perspective. This is a quantitative descriptive study using a cross-sectional approach. The sample for this study consisted of 303 respondents selected using accidental sampling. The instrument employed a questionnaire based on the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) model, which had been validated for both validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the Community Satisfaction Survey (CSS). The results from the Community Satisfaction Survey revealed five components: Component 1 (reliability) with a “satisfied” rating (80.4%); Component 2 (responsiveness) with a “very satisfied” rating (82.4%); Component 3 (empathy) with a “very satisfied” rating (81.25%)—the empathy dimension; component four with the “very satisfied” category (86.4%)—the assurance dimension; and component five with the “very satisfied” category (85.3%)—the tangibility dimension. The conclusion of this study is that, based on the public satisfaction survey, the overall satisfaction with the services provided by Apotek Kombi received a conventional interval score of 83.15%, with service performance rated as “very satisfied” and service quality rated as “A” by members of the public who visited Apotek Kombi in Bandung to purchase medication.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a non-communicable disease caused by insulin resistance. Factors that can cause DM include gender, age, family history of DM, race and ethnicity, history of low birth weight, overweight, lack of physical activity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, consumed foods, and foods high in glucose. Therefore, lifestyle changes are necessary by modifying eating habits and physical activity to prevent the risk of diabetes mellitus. This study aims to identify the relationship between energy intake, macronutrients, physical activity, and random blood glucose levels in junior high school students at SMP Budi Mulia. This quantitative study uses a cross-sectional method. The research was conducted at SMP Budi Mulia, Tangerang City, with a sample of 63 respondents selected through stratified random sampling. Primary data was obtained by filling out questionnaires on age, gender, and physical activity, followed by a 2x24 hour food recall interview, and measurement of random blood glucose levels. The study results using correlation tests showed a relationship between energy intake and blood glucose levels (pv = 0.0001; r = 0.520), protein intake and blood glucose levels (pv = 0.003; r = 0.363), fat intake and blood glucose levels (pv = 0.0001; r = 0.455), and carbohydrate intake and blood glucose levels (pv = 0.0001; r = 0.464).Keywords: blood glucose, macronutrients, physical activity

Abstract

Anemia remains a major problem among adolescent girls in various regions of Indonesia, with a national incidence of 15.5% and a prevalence of 21.3% in East Java Province. Iron and folic acid supplementation is one of the preventive measures implemented by the government through the distribution of free iron supplement tablets (TTD) to adolescent girls over the past few years. However, this approach is uniform without considering biological variations between individuals. This biological variation can cause differences in absorption, even with adherence to iron supplement consumption and identical doses. This study aims to determine the relationship between adherence to iron supplement tablet (TTD) consumption and the incidence of anemia among adolescent girls in Sukorambi District, considering a nutrigenomic perspective. The research method used was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach to 40 adolescent girls. Data on adherence to iron supplements were collected using a questionnaire, anemia status using the Quick Check Hb method, and nutrigenomic analysis based on the literature. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between iron supplement compliance and the incidence of anemia. The results showed that iron supplement compliance was not significantly associated (p=0.648) with the incidence of anemia. This indicates that iron supplement adherence is not the sole predictor of iron status. Genetic variation may play a role as an unmeasured confounding factor in this study design. Further nutrigenomic research is needed to integrate genetic factors into evaluating the effectiveness of iron supplementation programs. Abstract

The increasing number of patients with chronic diseases poses challenges in delivering effective and efficient healthcare services. The heterogeneity of patients’ clinical characteristics makes risk identification and clinical decision-making processes more complex. This study aimed to classify patients based on similarities in clinical characteristics using the K-Means algorithm to identify specific health patterns. The study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional observational design and data mining techniques. Research data were obtained from a public Kaggle dataset which, after the data cleaning process, resulted in 51 patient records with analytical variables including age, blood pressure, blood glucose level, hemoglobin, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, anemia, and red blood cell (RBC) condition. Cluster analysis was performed using the K-Means algorithm, while cluster validity was evaluated using the Silhouette and Dunn indices. The results showed that the optimal number of clusters was three, with a Silhouette score of 0.537 and a Dunn index of 0.612. Cluster 1 (n=38) represented a low-risk profile characterized by relatively normal blood pressure and blood glucose levels without cases of diabetes mellitus or hypertension. Cluster 2 (n=8) was characterized by a high prevalence of anemia (87.5%) and low hemoglobin levels. Meanwhile, Cluster 3 (n=5) exhibited the most severe metabolic profile, with hypertension prevalence reaching 100%, diabetes mellitus 80%, and the highest average blood glucose level 348.8 mg/dL. These findings indicate that the K-Means method is effective in identifying patient segmentation based on distinct clinical characteristics. However, due to the relatively limited sample size and imbalanced cluster distribution, the findings should be interpreted as an exploratory analysis that requires further validation using larger and more diverse datasets. Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven innovation in the provision of nutrition education and consultation services, one of which is through the implementation of the VANESA (Virtual Assistant Nutritional Care Center for Education and Consultation) system. This study aims to analyze user satisfaction with the VANESA system using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach, which emphasizes two main variables, namely perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, as the main determinants of technology acceptance. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach to active VANESA users. Data was analyzed using regression analysis techniques and validity tests to examine the relationship between variables in the TAM model and the level of user satisfaction. The results show that both perceptions of usefulness and ease of use have a positive and significant influence on user attitudes, which in turn impacts their satisfaction with the use of the VANESA system. These findings indicate that increasing the functionality and ease of access of the system will strengthen user acceptance. This study provides important implications for the development of digital healthcare systems, particularly in designing virtual assistants that are adaptive to user needs and based on user experience. Keywords: nutrition education, satisfaction, TAM, VANESA
