Abstract

This study aims to uncover the implementation of character education for children aged 4-6 years at RA Perwanida Brawijaya, Pamekasan. The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive data collection, using the principal and teachers of RA Perwanida Brawijaya as primary data sources, and literature from books and the internet as secondary data. The research findings indicate that character education at RA Perwanida Brawijaya, Pamekasan, is implemented through routine activities, incidental activities, and the "Blessed Friday Charity" program that assist in the development of empathy, care for others, and understanding the significance of giving in Islam. The limitations of this study lie in the implementation of character education at RA Perwanida Brawijaya, Pamekasan. The execution of character education can help children face life's challenges and enhance their future quality of life through the formation of positive attitudes. This character education implementation through routine activities, incidental activities, and school programs allows children to develop good character traits consistent with the values and beliefs instilled in the educational process, becoming an integral part of their personality.

Abstract

This research constitutes a descriptive qualitative study aimed at delving deeper into the habituation of discipline traits in children and the efforts undertaken by teachers to shape these discipline character habits within the B1 group of Arif Rahman Hakim Kindergarten, Yogyakarta. Research data was collected through various methods, including participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation from supervising teachers, the school principal, as well as 15 students. Findings indicate the necessity of nurturing early childhood growth, emphasizing the pivotal role of habitualizing discipline at RA Arif Rahman Hakim. Key indicators of children's discipline encompassed time management, rule adherence, behavior, and religious practices. Educators effectively used modelling and habituation methods, with collaboration among teachers, parents, and the school environment being instrumental in promoting positive behaviors. The study underscores the significance of schools and teachers in shaping disciplinary character traits, relying on a blend of firm guidance, democratic discipline approaches, and steadfast value system reinforcement. These insights present a roadmap for other institutions and educators aiming to enhance character education quality. Further studies are suggested to delve deeper into the intricate processes and factors influencing the development of children's disciplinary traits.

Abstract

This qualitative study explores digital media's impact on children's social-emotional development at TK Kartika XX-46 Kendari, particularly emphasizing its educational utility and influence on educators' motivation and teaching efficacy. Employing a multi-phase approach involving planning, implementation, and assessment, the research reveals that digital media positively affects children’s social-emotional growth, as evident through heightened enthusiasm and positive behaviors like empathy. The study also discovered an enhancement in educators' motivation and diversification in teaching methods. Initial limitations, such as low digital literacy among teachers and insufficient infrastructure, have been progressively mitigated through concerted efforts involving multiple stakeholders. In a broader context, these findings offer valuable implications for educational practices and public policy by laying the groundwork for future research to refine pedagogical strategies. The study's limitations include its restricted scope, which is confined to one educational institution. Future studies should investigate varied educational settings and examine the complex effects of different digital platforms on children's social-emotional development.

Abstract

This research aims to provide an exhaustive investigation into the best practices and implementation strategies inherent to classroom and activity-based Character Education Programs within the context of early childhood education. The study meticulously outlines critical variables such as careful program planning, diverse learning strategies, active student participation, and the pivotal role of teacher support. Results reveal five essential best practices and implementation techniques: meticulous planning, utilization of varied learning approaches, encouragement of active student involvement, ongoing program evaluation, and alignment with extant literature. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the integral function of teachers as both instructors and environmental architects. Implications extend to educational practitioners and policymakers by offering a robust program design, implementation, and assessment framework. Despite the comprehensive scope, limitations include the specificity to early childhood contexts, calling for broader research into varied educational levels. The study thereby contributes a nuanced perspective to existing literature and is an indispensable resource for stakeholders in education.

Abstract

The present research aims to investigate and describe the provision of inclusive education services in early childhood education institutions, focusing on TK Hj. Isriati Baiturrahman 2 and PAUD Lab School UNNES in Semarang, Indonesia. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive case study approach, the study comprehensively examined various aspects, including curriculum, student demographics, educator training, infrastructure, and financing. Key findings indicate the utilization of a collaboratively developed "Merdeka Curriculum" aimed at holistic child development. Both schools have incorporated a specialized student selection process to identify and accommodate special needs students. Educators are rigorously trained in inclusive education methods and continuously monitored for program effectiveness. Infrastructure and funding support are pivotal for the actualization of inclusive practices. These findings have profound implications for practice and policy in inclusive education, reaffirming the necessity for inclusive school management and stakeholder involvement. However, the study is constrained by its localized focus and calls for further research to broaden its generalizability and investigate the long-term impacts of these programs.
