Abstract

The purpose of the idea of the creation of this final work is to visualize the impact of fashion modernization on youth in Bangko which is expressed through contemporary realist painting to inform the world of the impact of fashion modernization that influences the way dress behavior.The method of creating this final paper uses five stages: preparatory, elaboration, synthesis, concept realization and completion. Using acrylic paint on canvas and flat brush strokes and colors that match the subject, with a contemporary realist style. Ten works are created telling about the impact of fashion modernization on teenagers with the title: 1.Sakit Senang, 2.Seksi, 3.Bungkusan, 4.Tak Terkalahkan, 5.Boho, 6.Berani kan ?, 7.Panas, 8.Ngintip, 9.Teralihkan, 10.Centil. This work can be used as recording the history of Bangko teenagers today.Kata kunci: Modernisasi, Fashion, Remaja, Realis Kontemporer

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the learning achievement of students who take  extracurricular activities with those who do not take part in extracurricular activities in sub-arts art subjects. The results of this study show that the average value of students who take extracurricular activities with those who don not is 89.05, and 78,68 value of t-count > t-table, the positif influence of extracurricular activities on student learning achievement.Keywords : extracurricular activities. learning achievement

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of staff towards the interior space B.78 lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Padang and identify the elements of interior space, including the situation and condition of the floor, shape the structure of the walls, ceiling design, ventilation system, lighting systems as well as the shape, layout and size of the furniture. Data was collected using observations, interviews and questionnaires. The findings of the study indicate that there is a perception of the space B.78 staff lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts  Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Padang (1) consulting room = 6.45%, (2) meeting = 19, 35%, (3 ) workspace = 58, 06% and not at all = 16, 12%. While perceptions of lecturers towards the interior elements in space B.78 in the Department of Fine Arts Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Padang, which includes floor = poor (54.8%), wall = good (54.8%), good ceiling = (67.7%),  ventilation system = good (58.1%), lighting system = poor (72.6%) and furniture = poor (49%).Kata kunci: persepsi, interior.

Abstract

Dragonflies are one of the insects that have uniqueness and beauty in terms of body anatomy, color, nature and activity of dragonfly in his life. When viewed from the meaning of beauty to be a unique and beautiful dragonfly, this insect passes through a series of life cycles. In addition, the characteristics of the dragonfly is something interesting to be an inspiration in creating works of art that is tapestry techniques.The creation of this work aims to visualize the beauty of a dragonfly in its life activities. This tapestry works using soumak techniques, giordes, klim, and combined with the material stockings on the wings of dragonfly.After performing a series of long creation process, there are 7 pieces of tapestry, such as: 1) Dragonflies, 2) Snatching, 3) Marriage, 4) Laying eggs, 5) Dragonfly, 6) Interacting, 7) Pairing. Through tapestry works with the theme of the life of dragonflies is expected to arouse the spirit in the work of art, and used as a reference and reference to create a better work tepestri future.Keywords: Dragonflies, Tapestries, Embroidery

Abstract

The costumes worn by the king of Siak Sri Indrapura is the manifestationof culture and tradition of Melayu-Riau people. The typical characteristic of the costumes were seen from the movie made of gold thread which was weaved by Siak people. This research was intended to describe the names, forms, placing and motive meanings of costumes of the king of Siak Sri Indrapura in Province Riau. This research applied qualitative method and descriptive approach. The data collected was in the form of primary and secondary data. The primary data was gotten from the visual data of costumes of the king of Siak Sri Indrapura, while the secondary one was gotten from the information given by traditional figures, public figures and library study. Abstract

The purpose of this final project is to explore butterfly and environment phenomenon which is being threaten to be destroyed due to human activity on the earth through realist artwork. In its concept of manifestation, writer actualizes butterfly as main subject which illustrates the life of that insect. Writer illustrates butterfly and its environment that is contra with the real condition, writer presents artwork that relates to that problem in order to strengthen the concept. There are ten artworks in which explained the environment and butterfly phenomenon. That are: 1).Mulai Terhapus dari Tanah Tandus, 2). Tergusur, 3). Bisik yang Terusik (Bagian 1), 4). Bisik yang Terusik (Bagian 2), 5). Bisik yang Terusik (Bagian 3), 6). Sisa-Sisa Kebebasan, 7). Kisah Klasik, 8). Ironi Hidup, 9). Disingkir atau Menyingkir?, dan 10). Asa yang Sirna. Abstract

The purposes of the research are: (1) to describe the history of SitiManggapoh statue (2) to describefactors influencing the shape formation of Siti Manggapoh statue. This research is conducted by using qualitative method with descriptive approach. The data of this research are oral data from interviewand the a written source from the library as the secunder data.The data of this research were collected from observation, interview,documentation and bibliography. The results of this research are as follows: (1) the building of Siti Manggopoh statue was tied with the history of Manggopoh society struggling against the Dutch colonization; (2) The physical shape of the statue comprises of the base cornerstone, the base figure, and female statue’s figure. The techniques employed in the building of the statue arepelastering and carving. Abstract

The purpose of this final project is to visualize the importance of father’s role for his children. The idea of creating this project is to visualize the father’s role for his children in the project of realist style illustration. In the procces of creating this final project, there are five stages: they are preparation stage, elaboration stage, synthesis stage, concept of realization phase, and completion phase, The titles of the result of the visualization in this realist illustration is “Father in Realist illustration Art”. Abstract

Generally, the design of this comic to visualize The Minangkabau Cultural Preservation and to prevent damage of foreeign cultural influences in this comic. The embodiment of the concept, the author takes issue in Minangkabau who tainted by foreign cultures. In particular, the purpose of this comic to message to the public for better preserve the Minangkabau cultural's development and visualize the Minangkabau cultural into comic with manga style.
