Abstract

This paper is the research and development result of Statistics teaching materials based on ICT. The method used is the early stage of research and development that applied on the second phase of the study. The first stage is analysis the teaching materials through the study of literature; developing initial products; experts team validation;  and  first  revised.  The  second phase is limited test to 13 students randomly selected that participated in the course Statistics on Mathematics Education Universitas  Muhammadiyah  Sukabumi,  and do the second revised. The method used in the second stage is a single experiment one shot case study. The instrument used in this study are validation sheet, teaching materials performance and effectiveness sheet, and conceptual understanding test. These data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test on the level of ? = 5%. The results showed that average score of teaching materials validation is 4.50 out of This result indicates that more than 80% of ICT based teaching materials developed is feasible to use (valid) and classified as very well   category.   Based   on   trial   results, conceptual understanding ability of students after  using  ICT  based  teaching  materials significantly  better  than  before  using  ICT based teaching materials. In addition, an overall assessment of performance effectiveness of ICT based teaching material reached 62.98% higher than the learning without ICT based teaching materials, which only reached 60.58%. These results indicate that using ICT based teaching materials in learning   has   the   valid,   practical,   and effective criteria, particularly in an effort to develop the students? conceptual understanding ability.

The purpose of this study are to find out students? math learning achievement description using Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) method, to find out students? math learning achievement description using expository method and  to find out there?s influence using Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) method toward students? math learning achievement. The population is all students of grade X SMA Negeri I Sliyeg. Furthermore the sample is taken 2 of 8 grades? by simple random sampling technique. Grade X-3 as first experiment class that use Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) method and grade X-2 as second experiment class that use expository method. The instrument of this research applied six essays and each indicator represents one point essay and the validity and reliability of the instrument has been examined. Based on the analysis result of the postest, know that is a difference between students? learning achievement using Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) method and expository method. As a result, in can be concluded that the influence Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) method toward students? math learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that cause difficulty learning mathematics in the material lines and angles at school and at home. This type of research is qualitative research. Subjects in this study were four students who have difficulty learning math class VIIB SMPN 4 Sindang. In this research, the writer used a technique Bogdan and Biklen?stechniqueto data analysis. The writer also uses triangulation observer, place, time, and theory to examine the validity of the data obtained. Based on the research results and conclusions obtained are students?difficulties in learning mathematics of the lines and anglesmaterial are (a) misunderstanding of the students toward a matter to be determined; (b) ignorance of the students to the concept of lines and angles; (c) students to the inaccuracy of writing symbols (language) mathematics; (d) the inaccuracy of students on mathematical calculations. Meanwhile, the factors that cause students learning difficulties in learning lines and angles material is divided into two factors, namely the internal and external factors. Internal factors (in students) that caused learning difficulties in learning material lines and angles are the students are no interest towards learning mathematics and how/study habits of students. Meanwhile, extern factors (outside thestudents) students' learning difficulties in learning mathematics of the material lines and angles of SMPN 4 Sindang seen through two aspects, namely environmental factors of school and family environments (home).

The subjects of this research is VIII D students of SMP Negeri Unggulan Sindang Indramayu school year 2014/2015, consist of  30 students, 19 girls and 11 boys. Data collection techniques in this study using observation sheets, tests, observations, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Statistics attitude towards learning through Project Based Learning Model-Aided Microsoft Excel mostly been good and very good. Can be seen the percentage of successful the first cycle increased from 86.67% to 100% in the second cycle. Percentage mastery learning outcomes in mathematics learning competency skills is increase. The percentage of successful at first cycle increased from 73% to 86.67% in the second cycle. Learning outcomes based on knowledge an increasing number of which reached KKM cycle I to cycle II. KKM percentage reached 76.67% in the first cycle increased to 86.67% in the second cycle. Based on the research that has been conducted, statistics learning using Project Based Learning Model-Aided Microsoft Excel is able to improve the learning outcomes of class VIIID students of SMP Negeri Unggulan Sindang Indramayu school year 2014/2015. The application of statistical learning using Project Based Learning Model-Aided Microsoft Excel as an alternative model of learning that can be applied to topics and other subjects but required good planning and proper time management.

Abstract

Attitude is one focus of learned process. But in reality they have a negative certain attitude to mathematics attented clases. One alternative learning that can improve attitude students  is a model Advance Organizer  with a concept map. This study aims to determine the increase in mathematics attitude of students who received Advance Organizer model learning with concept maps and students who obtain teaching expository method. This study used an experimental method. The population in this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Kroya Indramayu and taken two classes at random according to the class as a sample. Instruments used in this research is non-test. Based on the analysis of research data, we concluded that, by enhancing the mathematics attitude of students who obtain a mathematical model study Advance Organizer to map the concept positive than students who received learning expository method.
