Abstract

Researchers examine the Ability of High School Students of SMA N 06 OKU Finding Value of Religion in Short Story 4 Kopiah Karya Faqih Sulthan. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the ability of high school students of SMA N 06 OKU find the value of religion in short story 4 Kopiah by Faqih Sulthan. This study aims to describe the ability of students of grade X SMA N 06 OKU to find the value of religion in short story 4 Kopiahkarya Faqih Sulthan.Manfaat this research is expected to give description about religious values in short stories, and can be useful for teachers, students, readers, and researchers. The method that researchers use is descriptive method. Data collection techniques are test techniques. The sample in this study amounted to 36 students. The result of the research on the ability of the students of grade X of SMA Negeri 06 OKU find the religious value in the short story that there are students who can find the religion value on the element of aqidah with the value of 11-20 as many as 34 or 94.4%, with the value of 21-40 as many as 32 people or 88.9% the value of 21-40 as many as 10 people or 27.8%, with a grade point average of 68.9. Based on the Kreteria Complete Minimal value of Indonesian language in SMA N 06 OKU with a value of 75, then the students of class X.2 otherwise have not been able to find the value of religion in the short story 4 Kopiah works Faqih Sulthan.Keywords: ability, religion value, short story

Abstract

Martial art is one of physical exercises. Martial arts nowadays are gaining in popularity. In addition to sports, martial arts are learned to protect ourselves from various kinds of attacks. As the time progressed, martial arts increasingly popular all over the world, including China and Indonesia. China has various types of martial arts like kungfu. Kungfu is subdivided into several types, one of them is wing chun. In Indonesia, there are also various types of martial arts. Pencak silat that scattered throughout the country is Merpatih Putih. Unlike China, this type of martial arts such as Merpati Putih is also a subdivision of martial arts. Not only the reference and classification that are different, Chinese and Indonesian martial arts also have other values such as moves. Based on this problem, the comparisons found in kungfu wing chun and Pencak Silat Merpati Putih will be examined. Movement and function in this research refers to wing chun college in Malang city named Logical Wing Chun and Merpati Putih Indonesia.Keywords: martial arts, pencak silat, wing chun.

Abstract

This study aims to describe verbal expressions and speech functions in the form of verbal conversation implicature in invite Sarolangun Malay society. Pragmatic analysis is used to analyze data. Related to the results of this study indicate that there are nine conversation implicatures inviting. First, there are four verbal forms and declarative speech functions. Second, there are four verbal forms and interrogative speech functions. Third, there is one verbal form and an imperative speech function. The results of this study are expected to be a consideration for subsequent research and serve as a consideration for someone to communicate indirect. Keywords: conversation implicature, invate, malay

Abstract

Today people tend to use advertisements to promote politics. This is called campaign advertising, one of which is promoting prospective leaders. On the occasion of int. Will be discussed the language functions contained in the campaign proposal on the Regional Election Committee in the City of Padang. To get an explanation of the language found in campaign advertisements, data was collected by listening to the use of language and its function in advertising campaigns. More than that the data that has been collected is analyzed. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found that the language function was used in campaign advertisements in the Regional Election Commission in the City of Padang. The language in the campaign advertisements is expresssive, informative and directive.

Abstract

This article is a result of a research about Minangkabau societal ideology which is reflected by the novels written by West Sumatran’s author. The Minangkabau societal ideology can be as a tool to form and to  educate children. Base on the works analyzed, the ideology message was found and became the foundation to form the children character such as keep strugglins, to have empathy to other people, to have responsibility, creative and innovative, the feeling of togetherness, mutual aid and hard work. Therefore, the benefit cannot be neglected that literary works such as novels can be use as one effective media to form and to lead the character of Indonesian children, especially to establish the uniqueness of Indonesia society in global relation. So that, children have to read literary work as the pillar of character education.Keywords      : novel, ideology, character, society, formation
