Abstract

For those of Indonesian, jackfruit seeds are just made into snacks. But, they usually throw away these seeds rather than benefitted this seeds.  Hence, the jackfruit seeds will then be a waste. This research is aim to know and uncover things like: jackfruit seeds can be made as a basic ingredient in tempe-making (fermented soybean), jackfruit seed concentrate and the most preferably yeast for panelist, jackfruit seed concentrate and tempe yeast within the highest protein and carbohydrate, and the suitability of tempe with SNI standard. The research method used was completely-random program (RAL). While the result of the research was examined by using mode-analysis technique namely ANOVA and the further test is DMRT (Duncan Multiple Rate). The result of the study showed that jackfruit seeds can be made as an extra basic-ingredient in tempe-making. A hedonic test toward the most preferably of taste, aroma, and color for the consumer are 50% of jackfruit seed concentratetempe, 50% of soybean, and 0.25% yeast. The 50% of jackfruit seed concentrate tempe, 50% of soybean, and 0.25% yeasttempecontains the highest protein and carbohydrate that are 11.22% protein and 13.30% carbohydrate. The result of SNI-standard testing indicated that tempewith 25% jackfruit-seeds, 75% soybean, and 0.75% yeast has aroma and color which is up to SNI standard of tempe, while tempe with 50% of jackfruit seed concentrate tempe, 50% of soybean, and 0.25% yeast has aroma and color that is unqualified SNI-standard of tempe.

Abstract

This research is The act of class research with an approach that oriented to symptoms is natural.This study aims to know the increase in student learning achievements on the subjects of control pests plants subject at students XIagribusiness plantation crops state vocational schools 6 Takalar and thete are 21 students as subject. Problem based learning is one of the method that implement konstruktivistik paradigm in which participants students was introduced to problems in actual so thestudents can draw conclusions from situations that was happening. The results of research, show the finishing of the learning from cycle I of 9,52 % been an increased in results of study in cycle II of 57,15 % so finished in classical be 90,48 % .This shows that the implementation of the problem based learning model (the problem based learning) to increase student learning achievements on the subjects of control pests plants in the class XI agribusiness plantation crops (ATP in state vocational schools 6 Takalar)

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of water quality on the production of seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii). This study was an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD). There are three treatments, treatment A (50 m), treatment B (500 m), treatment C (1000 m) and a control consisting of three replications. The research variables were observed include the production and quality of the sea water. The analysis technique used in this research is the analysis of variance were processed using SPSS version 20. The results showed that the location most suitable planting sea grass is at a spacing of 500 meters from the river mouth to the value of the highest average production of 88500g (88,5kg ) while the water quality such as salinity, pH, temperature, turbidity, phosphates and dissolved oxygen, still within acceptable limits for the growth and production of seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii)

Abstract

This study aims to know the possibility of Ageratum conyzoides L. used asan organic pesticideand Ageratum conyzoides L. concentration appropriatein controlling pest Aulocaphora sp. Oncucumber plant. This research is experimental research using completely randomised design. There arefour treatment that concentration (3%), concentration treatment (6%), concentration treatment (9%), and control which 3 repetition. Variable research observed behavior  and mortality of pest Aulocaphora sp. The results showed Ageratum conyzoides L.extract use has the ability in controlling pest Aulocaphora sp.at concentration 9%, which can hamper the ability eat and cause silent reaction on pest Aulocaphora sp. furthermore, Aulocaphora sp. that eat the cucumber leaf lowest at concentration 9%

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of Local chicken and broilers chicken waste in increasing the growth, the survival and the production of mustard greens. The study was conducted in the trial garden, the Education of Agricultural Technology Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, the State University of Makassar. The study was conducted in February-March 2015 using a completely-randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments, three replications for each treatment. The results showed that the height growth of the highest plant was obtained in treatment D with 15%  broilers chicken waste  while the highest number of leaves was obtained in treatment D with 15% broilers chicken waste and treatment A with 10% localchicken waste, next the highest rate of survival was obtained in treatment B with 15% localchicken waste, treatment C and D with 10% and 15% broilers chicken waste. Meanwhile, the highest production of mustard greens was obtained in treatment D

Abstract

Golla Kambu is a traditional cake of Mandar which made from glutinous rice, nira liquid and scrapes of coconut. The study have purpose to know which have short time of cooking to made Golla Kambu, and the level of hedonic by consumer of Golla Kambu. The study was conducted into two phases. The first phase, modificated the glutinous become instant rice and made Golla Kambu. Observed the time cooking of each treatment and conducted hedonic experiment. The data analysis with variance analysis (ANOVA), continued with Duncan (DMRT) on degree 5%. The result of study on the first phases showed that the best  instant glutinous rice from its boiling was on cooking in 10 minutes with rendemen 38.97% and cooking during 15 minutes with kamba density 0.24 g/ml and capacity of rehidrasi 3.87 ml/g. Meanwhile, the best instant rice on pan with exerting pressure was cook in 10 minutes with rendemen 38.48%, kamba density 0.24 g/ml and capacity of rehidracy 3.40 ml/g. The result of study on the second phase showed that Golla Kambu of instant rice with pressurized pan is the best kind of modification to shorten the cooking time of Golla Kambu and the best level of consumer acceptance is Golla Kambu of instant rice with pressurized pan

Abstract

The processing of fruits by frying are interesting to be developed. One of the potential fruit processed and fruit chips are developed  papaya (Carica papaya L.). This study aimed to determine changes in water content and volume of papaya chips during frying, and test results hedonic papaya chips. The study was conducted by using the experimental method completely randomized design (CRD) with observation every 15 minutes, for 90 minutes during frying using vacuum fryer. Observations moisture content, volume, and the level of preference (hedonic), performed before and after frying. Analysis of the data by analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Tukkey test at 5%. The results showed that the decrease in water content and volume reduction papaya chips tend to stop in a frying for 60 minutes. To test hedonic color and flavor, crispy papaya highly preferred is frying for 60 minutes. As for the hedonic test on the texture, chips are the most preferred frying for 90 minutes

Abstract

This research is a class room action research that aims to improve the student learning  achievements in processing and desiccation subject through particular discovery method at the 1st  year class of SMK 2 Pinrang in 2014-2015 academic year, with 28 students. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consists of planning, observation, and reflection stage. The treatment which has been done in first and second cycle was discovery method. The result showed that implementing of discovery method can improve student  learning achievement. In the first cycle, the competence of student was 82,14% in average acquisition percentage and it has increased to 96.42% in the second cycle. The value acquisition in the second cycle was assumed completed according in KTSP (Curriculum Education Unit) ≥ 75. Thus it can be said that the implementing of discovery method can improve academic achievement either in theory, practices and the way of learning

Abstract

This research aim to determine the effect of composition variations of the organic plants media husk charcoal and cow’s faces solid manure with embankment soil and production of kale plants and composition ratio of organic husk charcoal and cow’s faces solid manure with soil embankment to the growth and viability of upland kale plants. This research use a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replicates are P0 : soil embankment (control), P1: soil embankment , husks charcoal, cow’s faces solid manure (1:1:2), P2: soil embankment, husks charcoal, cow’s faces solid manure (1:1:3) and P3: soil embankment, husks charcoal, cow’s faces solid manure (1:1:1). Variables that have been observed consist of the production, growth and viability. Analysis of data used by analysis of variance. The result showed the treatment has a real effect to the production of kale upland plants that is located in P2 treatment with the composition of soil embankment, husks charcoal, cow’s faces solid manure (1:1:3) with wet weight average perpolybag spread 26.625 grams. The highest growth lies in P1 treatment with the composition of the soil embankment, husks charcoal, cow’s faces solid manure (1:1:2) with an average equal to 27.725cm, while the best composition tha very influential to viability in value of 100% is P2 treatmentwith the value 100% viability

Abstract

This study aimed to determine changes in the quality shredded flying fish are packed with aluminum foil and polyethylene were stored at 28 0 C and 10 0 C. The design used in the study is completely randomized factorial design (RAL Factorial).Parameters measured were free fatty acid content and moisture content.Data analysis technique used is the analysis of variance using SPSS version 21.The results of the study to the lowest levels of free fatty acids at room temperature storage is polyethylene packaging while at cold temperature storage is aluminum foil packaging.The test results showed that the content of the water content of the lowest water levels in the storage room temperature or cold temperature is polyethylene packaging
