Abstract

Ruang CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis) merupakan ruangan peritoneal dialysis (PD) untuk pasien dengan gagal ginjal terminal. Tipikal dari ruangan ini tidak jauh beda dengan ruangan tindakan lainnya seperti ruang hemodialisa, endoskopy, bronchoscopy, ruang luka bakar. Data pasien tahun 2008 menunjukkan bahwa dari 172 orang  82 pasien telah meninggal dunia, 10 pasien pindah terapi HD dan 2 pasien melakukan transplatasi ginjal, hingga 6 bulan terakhir ini yang mendapatkan pelayanan CAPD sebanyak 81 pasien. Diantara 81 pasien CAPD terdapat 22 pasien CAPD diketahui pernah menderita komplikasi peritonitis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kualitas udara ruang CAPD merupakan ruangan peritoneal dialysis (PD).Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif melalui pendekatan cross sectional  dengan melakukan observasi dan pengukuran. Penelitian dilakukan di 3 ruang tindakan CAPD RSUD Dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi suhu, kelembaban, pencahayaan, kebisingan, tekanan,  kuman udara dan jamur.Hasil menunjukkan suhu udara dan pencahayaan ruang tidak memenuhi syarat standar Permenkes No. 7 tahun 2019 serta diketahui adanya pertumbuhan jamur.Disimpulkan bahwa ruang CAPD kurang memenuhi syarat dari segi fisik dan biologi. Saran kepada instansi terkait agar dilakukan perbaikan alat pendingan, pemberian tirai dan pembersihan ruang dengan desinfektan, sinar UV dan pemasangan HEPA Filter. Kata Kunci      : Suhu, Kelembaban, Pencahayaan, Kebisingan, Tekanan, TPC, Jamur

Abstract

Juanda Airport of Surabaya can be ragrded as a gathering point for travellers from various countries andtherefore contributes to the risk of global disease transmission. One of the transmissions may occur throughthe Aedes aegyptivector, a cause of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF); as well as the yellow fever; both mayinduce death. The 2012 Annual Report of the Port Health Office of Surabaya showed that House Index,Container Index, and Bruteau Index in the buffer area remained over 1%, whereas the technical requirementsfor airports said that the perimeter area must be totally free of life vector and the buffer area indices must beless than 1%. The purpose of the present study was to indentify and assess the implementation of vectorcontrol programs in reducing the populations of Aedes aegypti at Juanda Airport of Surabaya. This study useddescriptive methods aimed at describing the implementation of Aedes aegypti control program at Juandaairport of Surabaya. The object of the study was the perimeter and buffer areas of Juanda Airport.Results showed that, of the six variables under study, 5 (five) variables of Aedes aegypti controlimplementation did satisfy the requirements. The variable on the mapping of Aedes aegypti breeding placesmet the requirements satisfactorily. The variables on larval surveys, adult mosquito surveys, counselingactivities, larvaciding and fogging did not satisfy the requirements. In conclusion, the implementation ofAedes aegypttontrol in Juanda Airport in 2014 did satisfy the designated requirements.It is recommended that Sedati Community Health Center and the Health Office of Juanda Airport of Surabayaimprove their existing cooperation so that the buffer area, which is under the responsibility of both entities,remains the target of surveillance in order for the area to be sterile of Aedes aegypti breeding, in accordancewith the standards and requirements as stated in the Decree of the Health Minister of Republic of IndonesiaNo. 431/Menkes/SK/IV/2007.

Abstract

Liquid waste from the results of the process coloring or dyeing have thick, colored characteristics of pH, concentration of Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) height and color substance in which there is heavy metal content of chromium that is alleged to be toxic. One effort to decrease it is by the process of coagulation with coagulant FeSO4 and Al2(SO4)3. This research aims to kniw the effectiveness of Cr levels decrease total between coagulant FeSO4  and Al2(SO4).This type of research is experimental with Pretest-Posttest with Control Group design research. Sample required as many as 27 samples with replication nine times for each coagulant. Analysis of data used to use multivariate anova test for the purpose of knowing the difference 2 treatment groups. Percetage of chromium levels decrease after coagulation using coagulants FeSO4 and Al2(SO4)3with their respective dose variation 20 gr/l, 30 gr/l and coagulant Al2(SO4)3with coagulantdose variation 20 gr/l, 30 gr/l in row amounted to 75,89%; 83,00%; 71,40%; 91,76%. The most effective results in decreased levels of Cr in waste liquid of batik is 91,76% with coagulant Al2(SO4)3 dose variation 30%. On the results of statistics produces the value of p 0,05 is 0,000 the H0is rejected, which means that there is a difference in total Cr levels using coagulant FeSO4 with coagulant Al2(SO4)3.Based on the precentage of the total Cr levels decrease, effective coagulant to lower levels of total Cr in batik liquid waste is to use a coagulant Al2(SO4)3  with dose 30 gr/l. Advice for owners batik home industry by making waste watern treatment installations to process liquid waste it generates, which there is a processing unit with coagulation method that uses Al2(SO4)3coagulantto lower levels of chromium in sewage.  Key words: Chromium (Cr), Coagulant, The liquid waste of batik

Abstract

RumahSakit Umum Daerah Dr. Soetomo, Surabaya as one of medical service means, isa place where both sick and healthy people are gathering together. Activities of RSUD Dr.Soetomo will produce solid and liquid medical waste thatmay affect ennironmental pollution andhealth disorder. The behavior of Paramedic and Cleaning Service personnel significantly affectin managing the solid medical waste management.This research is a descriptive one, namely a research method aimin to assess thebehavior of Paramedicand Cleaning Service personnel, comprising of knowledge level, attitude,and action in managing those solid medical wastes in Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Dr. Soetomo,Surabaya. Population in this research was 298 Paramedic and Cleaning Service Personnel,spread in 13 wards, total sample was 75 Paramedic personnel and 3 Cleaning Servicepersonnel. Data obtained was further analyzed descriptively with table.The research result on solid medical waste management in Rumah Sakit Umum DaerahDr. Soetomo Surabaya, having satisfactorily knowledge level assessment each was 50,6% forParamedic personnel and 67% for Cleaning Service personnel. While for satisfactorily attitudeassement was 53,3% for Paramedic personnel and 100% for Cleaning Service personnel.Regarding satisfactorily performance assessment, it ,was achieved of 18,6% for Paramedicpersonnel, andO%for Cleaning Service personnel.Following the observation result of Paramedic and Cleaning Service personnel, it issuggested for their further guidance and briefing in behavior improvement regarding solidmedical waste management.Keywords : Behavior, Hospital

Abstract

Since 2010-2012 the incidence of diphtheria in Province of East Java have increased.The highest rate of diphtheria incidence occurred in Sidoarjo regency area, at the district of Taman and Sidoarjo. The  purposes of this research describes behavior factors included knowledge, attitude, action physical condition ofpatient covered lighting, humidity, floor type, ventilation and residential Oiriity. This_research using total sampling with sample of family treaO of diphtheria patient and the holne  population as many 15 family heads of diphtheria patient in  2012' The result of reseaich indicating that knowledge of familyhead 80% was not good caused of bustle in working then information about diphtheria does not  gained, attitude 5J,3o/owas not  good because knowledlge about diphtheria still low, andaction 73,3olo less because knowledge and attitude aboutdiphtheria incidence was low. The house physical condition of diphtheria did not ineligible beause of ventilation, humidity, residential density incompatibte with health requirements.Whilethe floor type meet the health standalB. For public healthcenters in Taman and Sidoarjo should be improving their informing activities about health and clean behavior living aswell as increasing DPT (Diphtheria Pertusis Tetanus) immunization coverage for children age 0-15 years old.

Abstract

Upaya Pemerintah pusat untuk meminimalisir sampah didukung penuh oleh Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Program yang telah dilaksanakan adalah pembangunan TPST (Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu).TPST Keboansikep merupakan TPST skala menengah  yang  dikelola oleh  KSM (Kelompok Swadaya Masyarakat)  Bumi Lestari. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menentukan strategi pengelolaan sampah di TPST Keboansikep.Jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitumenggambarkan fakta-fakta pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga di Desa Keboansikep. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Analisis SWOT.Hasil matriks IFAS skor tertinggi berada pada kekuatan dan sedangkan matriks EFAS berada di peluang. sehingga dapat disimpulkan pada diagram analisi SWOT masuk ke dalam katagori kuadran I yaitu mendukung startegi agresif.Simpulan  ditentukan strategi pengelolaan sampah di TPST Keboansikep(1) Mengadakan pelatihan atau pendidikan pembuatan daur ulang dari sampah kepada warga, (2) Menyediakan atau mengadakan pewadahan sampah secara terpilah baik sampah basah maupun sampah kering di titik-titik tertentu, (3) Membentuk kader lingkungan, (4) Meningkatkan kualitas SDM dengan mengikuti program Pelatihan yang akan dilaksanakan oleh DLHK, (5) Bekerja sama dengan pemerintah desa untuk mengadakan sosialisasi kepada warga untuk menyadarkan masyarakat akan perilaku membuang sampah dan memilah sampah, dan (6) Membuat sarana pengolahan air lindi sederhana, (7) Membuat papan pengumumam/ mading di TPST Keboansikep. Saran bagi pengelola adalah pelatihan/sosialisasi pengolahan sampah.Kata kunci : SWOT, Pengelolaan sampah

Abstract

Family toilet is an important and necessary part of public health improvement. In some areas,fecal disposalfacility that satisfy health requirements were not available as expected, especially among thelow economic level of the society, and the cost to build latrines becomes a barrier for families. Besidethis,other factors come into play such as the effective knowledge on health issues was inferior, as well as theever present habit unhealthy defecation in the community.Statistical analysis in this research relied on the use of chi-square test where primary datacollection was carried out by meansof observations and the use of questionnaires returned by 89 heads offamilies. Secondarydata were obtained from Mendalan village, Winongan subdistrict, Pasuruanregency.A portion of the community (19.1%) have poor understanding with regard to latrine and itsownership. Significant portion of the community (45%) did not finish their primary education. Whereas asmany as 71.9% of the the community did not have latrines. It was noted that there was no relationshipbetween levels of education and latrine ownership at a chi-square p a (0/233 0/1); and also there is norelationship between the community level of knowledge on latrines with latrine ownership indicated by achi-square of p 0(0/114 0/1).The study recommends to conduct the community awareness raising leading to initiation ofrevolving fund drive for latrine construction; to employ workers on regular basis to clean up theenvironment surrounding Mendalan village of Winongan subdistrict and to strengthen the role ofcommunity leaders in community mobilization.

Abstract

Medical waste denoted solid waste products that proved to be hazardous to hospitals and maycause health problems if not managed properly. An initial survey has been conducted in Bangil districthospital in Pasuruan. Outside components. that proved to have met the requirements, several problemswere discovered such as a practice of mixing medical waste and non - medical solid wastes, wastemedical bins were found to have different shape, size and color and there were no labels, the temperaturereached by incenerator combustion chamber was only :t: 800°C and it was not equipped with gas cleaningmechanism, and no special handling of the resulted ashes. This study was aimed to evaluate themanagement of solid medical waste in Bangil Pasuruanhospital.With regard to the research method, this was .a descriptive research. This research wasconducted in March - May 2014, the collected data were subjected to descriptive type of analysis/ resultswere discussed in reference to Minister of Health decree No. 1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004 on EnvironmentalHealth Requirementsfor Hospital.Solid medical waste generated in Bangil Pasuruan hospital were derived from health careactivities, ERand other facilities that included infectious materials and sharps. The largest generation ofsolid medical wastes was on Saturdays at 214.7 kg, while the smallest production was Wednesdaysthatamounted to 118.8 kg. Evaluation of solid medical waste management resulted in a value of 64, 1 % andcategorized as poor. The smallest percentage was obtained. at the generation phase by 25 % and thehighest percentage related to storage 90 %.This study concluded that the management of solid medical waste in Bangil Pasuruan hospital didnot meet the designated requirements. As a suggestion, Bangil Pasuruan hospital needs to reform themanagement of solid medical wastes, to complete insfrastructures and job descriptions should be madeavailable in writing, all requirements should be tailored to Minister of Health Decree No.1204/Menkes/SK/X/2004 on Environmental Health Requirementsfor Hospital.

Abstract

The production of dried tea leaves and tea consumption in Indonesia has increased from year to year. This condition was directly proportional to the spent tea leaves produced. Spent tea leaves contained 37% cellulose which can adsorb heavy metals in polluted water. Iron (II) metal was often found in high concentrations in ground water, so a treatment process was needed. This study aimed to analyze the removal of iron (II) in water by using activated spent tea leaves.The type of this research was true experiment with a pretest-posttest controlled group design. Spent tea leaves with size 80 mesh was activated with 0.1 N HCl for 36 hours. The method was carried out with a batch system in an artificial iron solution the initial concentration was 9.85 mg / L, with mass of adsorbent was 10 grams, pH = 7, stirring speed 100 rpm, contact time 15 minutes, 25 minutes, and 35 minutes. Measurement of iron levels was carried out before and after treatment using the SSA method. FTIR test carried out before and after activated spent tea leaves were used adsorption. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and analytically (One-way Anova Test and LSD Test).The results showed that activated spent tea leaves can remove iron (II) levels in water. The result of One-way Anova test and LSD test, the higgest removal of iron (II) occurred at 35 minutes contact time with adsorption efficiency was 90.36%. FTIR test results showed that activated spent tea leaves in this study contained functional groups were O-H, C-H, C=O, C=C, and C-N.This study concluded that activated spent tea leaves can remove iron (II) in water. The higgest removal of iron (II) occurred at 35 minutes contact time. Further research is needed to achieve 100% adsorption efficiency and find an effort to reduce turbidity in sample water after treatment. Keywords: Clean Water, Iron (II), Spent tea leaves

Abstract

ABSTRACTDengue Haemarogic Fever (DHF) is most popular disease in this society, this disease may attack all peopleand result in death in relatively short time. In 2015, number of cases in Putat Jaya local government clinic districtSawahan Surabaya City in January-September are 42. Dengue Haemorogic fever control program should be doneby all people, not only Public Health Office, clinic but also all people, because Dengue Fever can be reduced byDengue Fever eradication. Aim of this research is evaluating the implementation of dengue haemorhagic fevercontrol program in local government clinic Putat Jaya District Sawahan in 2016.This is descriptive research, data was collected by interview and document tracking. Sample is from healthworkers and the people which was taken randomly as many as 30 people and analyzed descriptively.Based on research result, eradication activities, larvicides routine inspection, periodic inspection of larva.Aedes aegypti mosquito control have been done although it has not been thoroughly, while fogging activities infocus area has already been implemented. Number of mosquito-free for the last 3 years ≤ 95%, and not inaccordance with the requirements.Suggestions for sanitarian Putat Jaya to provide, watch, supervise and nurture a cadre of locals to carry outtheir duties and responsibilities, and to society more active in conducting control of dengue haemorogic fever,because to get the expected results, activities to eradicate dengue haemorigic fever must be donesimultaneously and continously.Keywords : Evaluation Control Program and Dengue Haemorigic Fever
