Abstract

Aktivitas pelayanan medis rumah sakit menghasilkan limbah medis yang berbahaya jika tidak dikelola dengan baik, dapat berdampak buruk bagi kesehatan lingkungan sekitar. Penelitiam ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengelolaan limbah B3 medis di RSUD. dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya. Penelitian ini bersitaf deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Responden penelitian yaitu kepala instalasi sanitasi lingkungan, koordinator penanggung jawab limbah B3 medis, dan petugas pelaksana yang menangani limbah B3 medis. Obyek yang diteliti adalah pengelolaan limbah B3 medis menggunakan lembar check list. Kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pperencaaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan pengelolaan limbah B3 medis masing – masing mendapatkan kriteria penilaian “Baik”. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian tersebut. Evaluasi Pengelolaan Limbah B3 Medis Di RSUD. dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya Pada Tahun 2020 mendapatkan prosentase 93,3% yang termasuk dalam kriteria penilaian “Sangat Baik” dan sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 7 Tahun 2019 Tentang Persyaratan Kesehatan Lingkungan Rumah Sakit. Disarankan kepada RSUD. dr. M. Soewandhie Surabaya untuk meninjau kembali perjanjian dengan pihak transporter dan segera melakukan pengadaan cold storage untuk mengantisipasi jika terjadi permasalahan keterlambatan pengangkutan oleh pihak transporter agar limbah B3 medis yang tidak terangkut dapat disimpan dalam jangka waktu yang lebih lama dengan suhu yang sesuai.

Abstract

Salted fish which uses Non Food Additives are often found in the community. Chlorine bleachmaterial is feared to be added to the salted fish sold in traditional markets. Chlorine is an importantchemical in water purification, disinfectant, bleach, and mustard gas.This is a descriptive research with the objective of determining the chlorine contained in somekinds of salted fish sold in "Surabaya PabeanMarket" by conducting laboratory tests and physicalquality assessment, as well as sellers level of knowledge about food bleaching agents. The resultindicated that 23 samples contained chlorine and 7 samples of salted fish dis not containchlorine.Quantitative laboratory test  on salted fish samples showedthat out of 30 samples, allpositive contained chlorine (100%) with the highest level in medananchovies type of 9.335 ppmand the lowest was on the type of Gulama salted fish at 0.0103 (requirement of 0,00 or negative)that was banned to added to food by Permenkes 033 of 2012 on Food Additives. Measurementontraders’ level of knowledge on the production of salted fish shows that 9 out of 15sellerspossessed a good level of knowledge about the food bleach substance. To prevent salted fish containing chlorine, Department of Healthand other health institutions are suggested to conduct education to traders on the dangers of chlorine used in food by the that theydo not use chlorine as a bleaching agent.

Abstract

Pengendalian vektor menggunakan insektisida kimia secara terus menerus dapat menyebabkan serangga resisten . Alternatif untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dari insektisida kimia yaitu menggunakan insektisida nabati yang berasal dari bahan alami yaitu daun alpukat. Kandungan kimia daun alpukat adalah alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, dantanin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi efektif air perasan daun alpukat (Persea americana Mill.) terhadap kematian larva Aedes aegypty.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental murni dengan rancanganposttest only control group design. Penelitian menggunakan  6 perlakuan dengan konsentrasi  0% (sebagai kontrol), 7,5%, 10%, 12,5%,  15% dan 17,5% dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Penelitian menggunakan 450 ekor larva nyamuk Aedes aegypty instar III dan dibagi 25 ekor larva untuk masing-masing kelompok dalam 100ml aquades dengan pengamatan selama 24 jam. Analisis data silakukan secara analitik menggunakan uji probit dan uji beda (kruskan wallis).Hasil uji menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan air perasan daun alpukat terhadap kematian larva (p=0,000). Analisis probit didapatkan LC50 pada konsentrasi air perasan daun alpukat 10,624%. Dari hasil tersebut menunjukkan air perasan daun alpukat efektif dalam membunuh larva nyamuk Aedes aegypty.Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah adanya penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai cara menghilangkan warna pada air yang diberi air perasan daun alpukat.Kata kunci : Air perasan daun alpukat, Larvasida nabati, Larva Aedes aegypty.

Abstract

Food safety is an effort to control the risk factors of contaminations on food both come from food ingredients, people, places and equipment in order to be safe to consume. The purpose of this study was to determine the Behavior of sidewalk merchants and the bacteriological quality of eating equipments in the Jambangan Tourism Center of Surabaya City. This research is descriptive research with cross sectional approach. Data collection was by means of observation, interviews and laboratory tests. Total sample of 20 merchants. Data were analyzed descriptively in narrative form and tables. The results of research showed that the behavior of the food and drink merchants in the Jambangan Sidewalk Merchants Tourism Center of Surabaya as much as 75% behave good and 25% behave reasonably. The wipe test results of eating equipments in parameter Escherichia coli if compared with the Decree of Indonesian Health Ministry No. 1098/Menkes/VI/2003 showed that there are two stands positive Escherichia coli. It can be concluded that from the 20 merchants surveyed, 15 merchants (75%) behave well, five traders (25%) behave fairly and on wipe examination of eating tools there are 2 stands positive Escherichia coli. It is recommended in order that merchants apply the personal hygiene and provide 3 sinks for equipments and at drying use a clean cloth specifically for eating and drinking tools. Abstract

Food preparation attempts to serve good quality food through observation to high standard ofhealth and cleanliness, that leads to satisfactory services to the consumers, to be served at reasonableand affordable price and services . Food safety becomes a global issue that needs to be seriouslyconsidered in line with peoples' need and increasingly high demand for food safety.This research was carried out at PT Restorasi KA and aboard the Argo Bromo and Kertajayatrains. Method employed in this research was classified as descriptive analyses with a purpose to describeapplication of food sanitation and hygiene principles for the benefit of the train passengers at a particulartime.Results of observation on food sanitation-hygiene application namely in selection of raw materials67%, food storage 87%, processing of food materials 100%, storage of finished food 90%, transportationof finished food in Argo Bromo 100% and in Kertajaya train 73%, food serving in Argo Bromo andKertajaya 100%, personal hygiene among workers at PT Reska 97%, in Argo Bromo Anggrek train 100%,and in Kertajaya 98%. Tap water used for food processing has satisfied the physical and bacteriologicalrequirements, as well as the bacteriological for finished food and eating utensils.Application food sanitation and hygiene for trains operated in DAOP VIII Area especially in Argo Bromotrain scored a percentage of 95% (meeting the requirements) and in Kertajaya train scored a percentageof 92% (meeting the requirements). Suggestions to PT Reska were concentrated on selection of flour thatrequires some hardness test , and there is a need for more careful sorting of grains, temperatureadjustment in food storage, and to prohibit smoking habit among the workers. Finished and or semifinishedfood storage should be kept off the floor. It is also suggested to provide trolleys in Kertajaya trainfor the transportation of finished food

Abstract

Terminal Purabaya adalah tempat-tempat umum yang terdiri dari kegiatan pelayanan penumpang atau barang dengan kendaraan bus atau angkutan umum, Terminal Purabaya terbesar di Jawa Timur, jumlah sampah yang dihasilkan setiap harinya rata-rata 14m3 dengan rata-rata jumlah penumpang kedatangan 29.000 dan keberangkatan 28.300 orang setiap harinya, maka perlu mendapatkan pengawasan pengelolaan yang baik untuk mengantisipasi timbulnya dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, dari hasil survei pendahuluan yang dilakukan di Terminal Purabaya dari aktifitas pengunjung, penumpang maupun pengelola dapat mempengaruhi jumlah sampah di Terminal Purabaya, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur jumlah sampah, melakukan observasi mengenai pengelolaan sampah, dan mengevaluasi pengelolaan sampah di Terminal Purabaya menggunakan analisis SWOT.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggambarkan fakta yang ada terkait pengelolaan sampah di Terminal Purabaya. Sampel dalam penelitian ini mengambil orang yang dianggap mengetahui permasalahan yang diteliti yaitu pengelola, petugas kebersihan, pengawas petugas kebersihan, dan Kepala Terminal Purabaya. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis SWOT.Dari hasil penelitian, maka didapat hasil timbulan sampah perhari di Terminal Purabaya 4.870,28 Kg/hari, dan penilaian pengelolaan sampah di Terminal Purabaya pada tahap penimbulan 88%, pengumpulan 77%, penyimpanan sampah sementara 95%, dan pengangkutan ke TPA 100%, dari semua tahap pengelolaan sampah dapat dikategorikan baik.Pada analisis SWOT didapat beberapa strategi, antara lain: (1) Terminal Purabaya merupakan Terminal terbesar, yang mana terkait pengelolaan sampah telah bekerja sama dengan DKP atau dinas terkait. Sumber daya manusia (SDM) petugas kebersihan di Terminal Purabaya sudah cukup; (2) Meningkatkan wawasan petugas kebersihan dalam melaksanakan tugasnya; (3) Perlu adanya koordinasi antara pihak Terminal dengan tokoh masyarakat; (4) Perbaikan dan peningkatan sarana prasarana; (5) Meningkatkan wawasan masyarakat / pengunjung Terminal dalam hal pentingnya membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Kata kunci : SWOT, Analisis pengelolaan sampah

Abstract

People are doubtful to drink from water fountain provided in amusement parks. In addition, itwas whose has the contamination to other users. It was occured becausethe controllers to the faucet ofdrinking water. This research is aimed at studying water quality of a drinking fountain, before and afterthe onsite treatment processesat the unit located in Tarnan.Bunqkul Surabaya.This is a descriptive research, where water samples were drawn as a composite samples, twice aday (morning and afternoon) sampling takes before and after processing the fountain water treatmentunit. Data were collected through laboratory measurements on physical characteristics (smell, color,turbidity, taste, temperature), microbiological parameters (coliform MPNindex), chemical quality (iron andpH) and through organoleptic determination that include smell, color, taste, as well as visual observationson the state of the water fountain and associated treatment unit. Collected data were tabulated andanalyzed as is.Results of physical, microbiological, and chemical examinations showed that parameters were inaccordance with designations in the Ministry of Health Regulation No 492/Menkes/PER/IV/2010. Resultsofthe first and second laboratory analysis indicated decreased levels of color, turbidity, temperature, coliformMPN,iron, pH. However in the second examination the water temperature increased (0.004%).The study concluded that water fountain suitable for consumption. For the maintenance of thewater fountain quality the study suggested that people should wash their hands prior to using the waterfountain and observe the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).Keywords :drinking water fountain, contaminants, transmission of the disease

Abstract

Waste management is a systematic activity, thorough and covering unfinished simultaneous reduction andwaste management. Waste management is not only done at the household level but also performed for aneducational institution that is in elementary school. waste management program is one of the primary schoolk tire waste. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of waste bank management ineducational institutionsof Elementary School in the District Sukolillo Surabaya.This study includes a descriptive study. Data collected by measuring, observations, questionnaires andinterviews. The sample in this study there are four primary schoolsthat run programs waste bank.The results of research on the 4 primary schools found that the source of waste collected to the school comesfrom two places, namely home and school. Types of waste collected include plastic bottles, waste paper, oldnewspapers. used plastic bottle caps, beverage glass former, the former color plastic, former color plastic,former glass bottles, cardboard and a small former used beverage cans. Waste buildup for each day isdifferent on the 4th. For maximum paper waste obtained at 9.400 gr / 30 days and obtained a minimum of 0gr / 30 pant and plastic waste obtained at 7,300 g / day and minimum 30 acquired 200 g / 30 pant.Mechanism of action of waste bank on 4th still less qualified predefined the Minister Regulation LH No. 13 In2012. The waste bank mechanism work point that has not qualified for the activity that is the result of thesale between p e and depositors of banks like waste. Student involvement in waste management is only partof the student involved. The level of knowledge of the bank responsible for managing the waste is still therethat have category enough. Responsiblefor managing the waste bank's actions still worth less good.It is recommended that each elementary school are encouraged to bring waste from home. Working with theWaste Bank independently that kind of waste collected more varied kinds Limiting students in using plasticand paper should be an increase in the bank management waste bank to the mechanism of action inaccordance with Minister Regulation LH No. 13 Year 2012 Solicitation for all students to be able to managethe waste so that it can be applied at home

Abstract

Selada merupakan sayuran segar yang langsung dikonsumsi, jika tidak diolah dengan benar, berpotensi memberikan dampak kesehatan pada manusia. Salah satu upaya mengurangi kandungan Arsen dengan bahan yang bersifat chelating agent alami yaitu air perasan jeruk nipis. Tujuan penelitian ini  menganalisis penurunan kadar arsen pada selada keriting sebelum dan sesudah perendaman menggunakan air perasan jeruk nipis.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen murni. Metode yang digunakan yaitu uji organoleptik dan pemeriksaan kadar Arsen dengan menggunakan alat Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (SSA).Hasil uji organoleptik yang memenuhi syarat adalah konsentrasi air perasan jeruk nipis 25% dan 50%, sedangkan yang tidak memenuhi syarat adalah konsentrasi 75%. Pada  Uji One Way ANOVA kadar Arsen menunjukkan hasil p0,05 sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Disimpulkan bahwa air perasan jeruk nipis dapat digunakan menurunkan kadar Arsen, untuk dapat menurunkan arsen dan mempertahankan mutu selada keriting menggunakan konsentrasi air perasan jeruk nipis 25%.Kata Kunci : Arsen (As), Selada Keriting, Air Jeruk Nipis

Abstract

Organophosphate pesticide is majorly used in the farming industries to protect plants fromdestructive organism. Most farmers generally use pesticide since it is considered as the mostsecure and useful way to protect plants from destructive organisms, however most of them alsodo not realize that the use of pesticide in a long period will affect to the health and bodyresistance, especially it will affect the cholinesterase enzyme activities.The aim of this research was to describe the relationship between cholinesterase enzymeactivities and the behavior of pesticide users, where samples were taken from tobacco farmersin Montok, Pamekasanin 2013.This research was using analytical methods, where statistical data examinations are used in thedata processing. In terms of time arrangements, this research was using crossectional methodswhere dynamic correlation among risks factors and effects are studied.From the results of this research, it was known that cholinesterase enzyme activities ofrespondents have low toxic level (47.2%), (83.3%) farmers have sufficient knowledge ofpesticide used, (80.6%) farmers have sufficient behaviors of pesticide used, (72.2%) farmershave sufficient practices of pesticide used.The research can be concluded that the farmer's knowledge level and practices did notsignificantly correlate with cholinesterase enzyme activities. Meanwhile, farmers actions showedsignificant correlation to cholinesterase enzyme activities with value of p = 0.002 0.05.Therefore, it is necessary for Agriculture Department to hold a routine training for farmers onhow to use pesticide in a proper way and environmentally manner.Keywords: Behaviors, cholinesterase, pesticide, farmers
