Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the performance of  guidance and counseling teachers in the implementation of guidance and counseling program at SMPN in Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Tengah. Problems in this research is not optimal to implement guidance and counseling program at SMPN in Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Tengah year of 2012/2013. The problem is how the performance of guidance and conseling teachers in the implementation of guidance and counseling program at SMPN in Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Tengah year of 2012/2013. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data collection technique using questionnaire and documentation. The population in this study was 11 guidance and counseling teachers at  SMPN in Kecamatan Tulang Bawang Tengah year of 2012/2013. These results indicate that the performance of guidance and counseling teachers, in the implementation of guidance and counseling program considered good enough with result of percentage is 47%. Some aspects of guidance and counseling programs has been implemented well enough. However there are some aspects of guidance and counseling program showed unfavorable results. This is because there are teachers who are not from graduate study program of guidance and counseling, but still served as guidance and counseling teacher. Researchers recommend suggestions to: (1) guidance and counseling teachers are expected to improve performance in the implementation of guidance and counseling program. (2) the school is expected to better support guidance and counseling teacher in implement any activity guidance and counseling services.  Keywords: Performance Analysis, Guidance and Counseling Program

Abstract

The purpose of this research to find the reduction of smoking habitual by using approach of counseling behavioral strategy self-control of the students at SMAN 1 Natar year of 2012/2013.The research design is one-group pretest-posttest design. Problem of this research is there are smoking habitual students. There are 6 students whohavesmoking habitualas thesubjects of this research.The  data collectingtechniquesusedparticipant observationandinterviews.Result of this research showed that the smoking habitual can reduce by using approach of counselingbehavioral strategy self-control, it can be seen fromthe results ofdata analysis by using theWilcoxontest, the results of pretestandposttestshows that significancy test 5% p= 0,026 ; p0,05,  it can be concluded that Hois rejectedandHa is accepted, it means thatsmoking habitual can reduce by using approach of counselingbehavioral strategy self-control.The conclusionsof this researchis smoking habitual can reduce by using approach of counselingbehavioral strategy self-control of the students SMAN 1 Natar year of 2012/2013 . The suggestions are (1) the students that have smoking habitual should have can reduce to smoking habitual, therefore in their daily activity will not get any abstacle to make an interaction to others. (2) teacher of Guidance and Counselling (BK) should apply approach of counseling behavioral strategy self-control to minimize smoking habitual. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the school counselors’ performance for preparing guidance and counseling programs at high schools in Lampung Tengah. Population in this study were all school counselors that available at high schools in Lampung Tengah. The method used in this research was descriptive research. Data collection technique in this study used school counselor performance questionnaire. Based on the results of this study, in general the result of data analysis illustrated that the school counselors’ performance in the preparation of Guidance and Counseling Program at the State High School in Lampung Tengah, considered unfavorable because there was only one aspect that can all be classified well, while two aspects were pretty well categorized and four aspects were less well categorized. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kinerja konselor sekolah dalam penyusunan program bimbingan dan konseling pada SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Konselor sekolah yang ada pada SMA Negeri di Kabupaten lampung Tengah. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik Pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket kinerja konselor sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Berdasarkan hasil analisis data secara umum tergambar bahwa kinerja konselor sekolah dalam penyusunan Program Bimbingan dan Konseling pada SMA Negeri Se-Lampung Tengah, dikategorikan kurang baik dikarenakan hanya ada satu aspek saja yang dapat dkategorikan baik, dua aspek dikategorikan cukup baik dan empat aspek dikategorikan kurang baik. Kata kunci : analisis, kinerja konselor, program bimbingan dan konseling

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of a guidance and counseling at senior high school in Metro City in academic year 2012/2013.The problem of this research is the implementation of guidance and counseling service at senior high school in Metro City was not maximum. The problem was the "extent of the implementation of a guidance and counseling conducted at senior high school in Metro City in academic year 2012/2013?’'. This research used descriptive method. The samples were 40 respondents of senior high school in Metro City. The data collection techniques used questionnaires and interviews about the basic services. The results of this research indicate that guidance and counseling teachers have implemented the basic service components that include the classroom guidance, orientation services, information services, group counseling services, and instrument applications including guidance and counseling in basic services. Overall the implementation of a guidance and counseling at senior high school in Metro City in academic year 2012/2013 reached 77.25%. Based on these results, it could be suggested to : (1) guidance and counseling teachers are expected to be more professional in carrying out further guidance and counseling services and attending many workshops and seminars which related to guidance and counseling so it can increase their insight about the development of guidance and counseling, (2) the school is expected to can establish good cooperation with guidance and counseling teacher in executing the implementation of a guidance and counseling and counseling services in order to realize educational goals and provide the specific time for implementating the guidance and counseling in every class (3) for educational department is expected to not receive the guidance and counseling teachers who the educational background of guidance and counseling, (4) the further researcher is expected to conduct the further research which relate about the implementation of guidance and counseling at senior high school in order to support and to fix the result of this research.Keywords: basic services, guidance and counseling, senior high school

Abstract

The problem this research was whether of positive reinforcement could increase students’ dicipline toward the school rule at the nineth grade of SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana Gunung Madu academic year 2012/2013. The objective of this research was to find out the use of positive reinforcement in increasing students’ dicipline toward the school rule at the nineth grade of SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana Gunung Madu academic year 2012/2013. The researcher used kuasi experiment with one group pretest-posttest experiment design. There were six students had poor dicipline toward school rule. The data collection of the research was through partipants observation and interview. The result showed that positive reinforcement technique could increase students’ dicipline toward the school rule at the nineth grade. It was showed from the result of data analysis, using wilcoxon test. The result of pretest and posttest was p= 0.026; p 0.05. So, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It could be inferred that positive reinforcement could increase students’ dicipline at the nineth grade of SMP. The conclusion of this research was positive reinforcement could increase students’ dicipline at the nineth grade of SMP Satya Dharma Sudjana Gunung Madu academic year 2012/2013. The suggestions that given were: (1) The students have to try to increase their dicipline, so in doing their activity students do not face the obstacle in daily life with their friends, teachers, and others. Especially for students as the subject of this research, the students should increase their dicipline toward the school rule. (2)for teachers, the teachers are expected to give information to the students about the important of dicipline to in increase the students’ dicipline actively. (3) the researcher hope to the others to do the same research but use the old different subject.Key word: students’ dicipline, positive reinforcement tehnique.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the student Achievement Motivation that low. The problem of this study "Are Able Students Achievement Motivation Boost Using Tutoring Services Group In Class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Liwa West Lampung academic year 2012/2013? The purpose of this study to determine the increase in achievement motivation through group guidance services to the students grade IX SMP Negeri 1 Liwa West Lampung.The method used in this study with a design method of quasi eksperimen, one group pretest-posttest design. . Subjects in the study of eight students with low achievement motivation. Data collection techniques in this study using a scale of achievement motivation, and supported by the observation.The results showed that students' achievement motivation can be enhanced by using group guidance services, as evidenced by the results of the data analysis of achievement motivation as pre-test and post test scores obtained Zhitung= -2.521 and Ztabel = 4, Zhitung Ztabel, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, it means there is an increase in achievement motivation before and after a given group counseling services to students grade IX liwa SMP Negeri 1 Liwa West Lampung year 2012/2013.The conclusion in this study is an increase in achievement motivation between before given guidance services group after group counseling services provided to the students grade IX SMP Negeri 1 Liwa West Lampung school year 2012/2012. This means that achievement motivation can be enhanced through group guidance services.Advice can be given (1), To Students should follow the guidance service groups if difficulties in raising achievement motivation, so that students can get a better performance. (2) To the counseling teacher should establish good communication with the entire school community, so that the problem-that exist in students' experiences to be resolved. (3) To the researchers should be able to conduct research using the services, approach, and the same technique but with a different problem, and the same subjects.Keywords: Achievement Motivation, Tutoring Services Group

Abstract

The purpose of the research objective is the author wanted to determine therelationship between positive emotions that experienced by students with theacademic achievement of students FKIP Lampung University academic year2011/2012. The problem in this research is the low student academic achievement.The main problem in this research is "is the low academic achievement of students iscaused by positive emotional factors that experienced positive student?" . Themethod that used is the method of correlation. The population in this research werestudents of FKIP Lampung University with academic year of 2007, 2008, and 2009,which have a low GPA. While the study sample as many as 144 students. Datacollection techniques in this study using a questionnaire emotion PANAS-X (Positiveand Negative Affect Scale-X), which includes 35 kinds of emotions revealed that theresults was correlated with students' academic achievement such as IPK.The results obtained in this study there is a positive correlation between positiveemotions such as happy, joy, awe, excitement, gratitude. attentive, trying, amazed,relaxed, happy, inspired, passionate, courageous, interested, confident, full ofenergy, concentration, enthusiasm experienced by students toward academicachievement with a positive correlation coefficient of 0.272 and significant at thelevel 0.001 (0.001 is less than α: 0.005, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected),which means that there is a relationship between positive emotions that experiencedby students with the students' academic achievement. The conclusion of this researchis there is a positive relationship between positive emotions experienced by studentswith the students' academic achievement. Suggestions in this study were collegestudent should try to regulate negative emotions with positive and constructiveattitude in order to obtain the process of maximum learning in study.Keywords: The relation of positive emotions, academic  achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increasment of creative learning after attending group counseling services in students of class XII SMK SPP Lampung District academic year 2012/2013. The problem in this study was the low student’s creativity. Its sentence in this study was "was student creativity improve after attending group counseling services in students of class XII SMK SPP Lampung District academic year 2012/2013?". The method was quasi experimental with Time Series design. Subjects were six students recommended by teachers and school counselor. Data collection techniques used observation. The results obtained indicated that there was an increasment in student’s creativity learning after attending group counseling services, as shown from the results of the data analysis using Wilcoxon test, the results of pretest and posttest obtained zscore = -2.226 z table = 0 then, Ho is rejected and Ha accepted, which means there is an increasment student’s creativity in learning after attending group counseling services. The conclusion was an increasment student’s creativity in learning after participating in group counseling services in there is students of class XII SMK SPP Lampung District academic year 2012/2013. The advice given were (1) Students should be able to take part in group counseling services, to enhance the creativity of learning. (2) School counselor should conduct group counseling to help students improve learning creativity. (3) Other researchers should be able to do research on the same problem but try to use other approaches and techniques such as using positive reinforcement techniques.Keywords: Learning Creativity, Group Counseling, Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

The purpose of this research was intended to determine, knowing the students’ potential in determining vocational preferences after given IEKAD. The problem in this study was that many students who have a difficulty in understanding the potential of vocational preferences. In this research, the researcher used quasi experimental method in which to insert the sample into the experimental group and the control group randamization. The design used was a non randomized pretest-posttest control group. This research was indicated by the difference between the posttest of experimental group with the posttest of control group, the average was 62.17% of the experimental group and the average was 52.08% of control group, it is meant that IEKAD could help to improve the students’ understanding of vocational preferences. The suggestions in this research proposed to (1) Teachers Advisors, suggested to the guidance counselor to help the students understanding the vocational preferences of the students, among others, could use IEKAD, (2) Other researchers, in this research, IEKAD in career counseling was not suitable for students who have low self esteem. (3) Students, the students were expected to follow the career counseling to help understanding the vocational preferences. Keywords: IEKAD, Career Counseling, Vocational Preferences.

Abstract

The Problem of this research was that student’s attitudes and positive learning habits are low. Research problem of this research is “could student’s attitudes and positive learning habits be increased by using token economy?”. The purpose of this research was to know that student’s attitudes and positive learning habits were could increaseds by using token economy. The Method of this research was quasi experimental method teqhnique of the one group pretest-posttest desin. The Subject of this research were 6 students who had low of attitudes and positive learning habits. Technique in gaining the data of this research were by using observation. Result of this research showed that the student’s attitudes and positive learning habits could reduce by using token economy, it showed from the data analysis that use t-test, from the result of pretest and posttest gaining tarithmathic=15,36 ttable=2,015 so, Ho was rejected and Ha was received, it means that student’s attitudes and positive learning habits could increased by using token economy. Conclusion of this research were student’s attitudes and positive learning habits could increased by using token economy for  students grade V SD Negeri 4 Way Galih Subdistrict Tanjung Bintang Year of 2012/2013. The suggestions were (1) for teacher, please give program of guidance for inform about how infortant studen’ts attitudes and positive learning habits and how did to increasing it. (2) for parent, please standing behind and apply effort increasing of student’s attitudes and positive learning habits for students when to home after got the information from teachers. (3) for researchers, in this research token economy is not suited for students who had social phobia, so researcher should to research students who had social phobia by using systematic desensitisasi. Key word: token economy, attitudes and positive learning habits
