Abstract

One indicator to measure the degree of health is maternal mortality. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) (2019), around 830 women die from complications during pregnancy and childbirth, where 94% of maternal deaths occur in developing countries including Indonesia. This study aims to determine the relationship of prenatal yoga on anxiety facing childbirth in primigravida Trimester III mothers. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The population is Primigravida Trimester III pregnant women in the working area of the Pasar Kepahiang Health Center as many as 120 people. A sample of 34 people consisted of 17 experimental groups and 17 control groups. Sampling in case groups by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed by Paired Sample t-test. The results showed the average anxiety in the experimental group before the intervention (pre-test) was 59.65 and after the intervention (post-test) was 43.76 while the average anxiety in the control group before the intervention (pre-test) was 57.59 and after the intervention (post-test) namely 52.53. There were differences in anxiety in the control group (p value = 0.004) and the experimental group (p value = 0,000) before and after the intervention. It is expected that midwifery health services can do prenatal yoga as an alternative in conducting midwifery care to reduce the level of anxiety of pregnant women

Abstract

The government is trying to reduce the fertility rate so that population spikes can be prevented; data in Indonesia shows that 72 per cent of women aged 15-49 years are already married. Marriage affects the likelihood of a woman being exposed to the risk of pregnancy; women who first married at a young age tend to start having children at a young age and have high fertility (SDKI 2017). This study aims to determine whether the age at first marriage affects the fertility rate of women of childbearing age in Banten Province. This method used a cross-sectional design. The analysis was conducted using the chi-square test and multivariate analysis using logistic regression analysis. The study's results showed that the number of children born alive second children was 5.7% in women of childbearing age. The results of the multivariate analysis prove that there is an effect between the age at first marriage and the fertility rate in women of childbearing age in Banten Province in 2017. Women who married for the first time at the age of 8-17 years have a 13 times higher risk of bearing children> 2 people than women. Who married for the first time aged> 18 years. Policy recommendations to increase CIE (Communication, Information and Education) activities regarding the MAM (Marriage Age Maturing) program can be intensified, especially through field cadres.

Abstract

Indonesia is the country with the fastest transmission of HIV/AIDS in Southeast Asia. From its first discovery in 1987 until June 2019, HIV/AIDS has been reported by 463 (90.07%) districts/cities in Indonesia. The lack of knowledge and attitudes of the foster women towards health behaviors about HIV/AIDS becomes the cause of the increasing number of people with HIV/AIDS in West Sumatra Province. One way to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS is by providing health education. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on HIV/AIDS on women's knowledge and attitudes in PSKW Andam Dewi Solok Regency. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. June 5-9, 2020, data collection was carried out in the Hall of PSKW Andam Dewi. The population in this study were all fostered women totaling 40 people, and all of them were sampled, namely 40 people. The data collection was conducted using a questionnaire method. Univariate and bivariate analysis was used in the data processing techniques of editing, coding, entry, tabulating, and cleaning with a dependent t-test. The study results showed that the average knowledge before and after counseling was 14.08 and 18.22, respectively. The results of mean attitude before and after counseling was 89.05 and 111.80, respectively. The statistical test results found that there was an influence of health education about HIV/AIDS on knowledge (p-value 0.000) and attitudes (p-value 0.000) of women under the guidance of PSKW Andam Dewi. This research concludes that health education affects the knowledge and attitudes of the target women. For this reason, it is suggested that PSKW Andam Dewi continue to provide health education on HIV/AIDS on an ongoing basis using the lecture method with power point and video media.

Abstract

Breastmilk (ASI) is the best food for babies, which contains white blood cells, protein and immune substances suitable for babies. Breast milk helps the child's optimal growth and development and protects against disease. Whereas in Banten Province in 2018, the percentage of exclusive breastfeeding was 62.79% (Riskesdas, 2018). Several factors can influence mothers to exclusive breastfeeding their babies. One of them is the support from the husband, who plays a role in the success of breastfeeding mothers. Husbands can be the key to success in exclusive breastfeeding for their children if the husbands carry out their roles properly. The research objective is to determine the relationship between the father's role in breastfeeding and the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the working area of the Ciomas Public Health Center in 2020. Methods: The type of research used is quantitative with a descriptive-analytic design through a cross-sectional approach. The research was carried out in the Working Area of the Ciomas Health Center in September - October 2020. The sample in the study was 30 respondents who had babies over 6-24 months with a consecutive sampling technique. Retrieval of data using questionnaires online. The analysis used was the Spearman rank (rho) correlation test method. The results of the study showed that out of 10 people who had a good father role, nine people (90%) succeeded in exclusive breastfeeding with good knowledge, three people (75%) and 20 people were included in the category of poor father role, 18 people did not succeed in breastfeeding. Exclusive (90%) with a p-value <0.05 indicates a significant relationship between the role of fathers and the success of exclusive breastfeeding. With the criteria of a strong relationship of 0.783, it is included in the very strong category (0.76 - 0.99)

Abstract

The strategy to reduce fertility rates is through contraception to prevent pregnancy, but not all contraceptives are suitable for the physical health condition of the wearer. Active family planning participants in Metro City in 2020 amounted to 21917 (72.73%). The coverage of intrauterine contraceptive users in Metro City is 3439 (15.%), and the lowest is in the Karangrejo Health Center working area, which is 10.61% (106 out of 999 acceptors). This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the selection of contraceptives in family planning in Karangrejo Village. Methods: Quantitative research with a cross-sectional design, the population of family planning acceptors is 1374 family planning acceptors. With the results of the calculation of the sample size obtained, a sample of 94 respondents—was sampled with a simple random sampling technique. The data was collected using a questionnaire, and the analysis used univariate, bivariate, and multivariate multiple regression analysis. Results: The results of the bivariate test conducted on nine variables related to the use of IUD contraception only five variables, namely knowledge (p=0.03), occupation (p=0.002), economy (p=0.041), husband's support (p= 0.000) and health status during family planning (p= 0.000) while the other four variables were not related because the p-value was more than 0.05, namely education (p=0.210), number of children (p=0.670), history of the hereditary disease (p= 1,000) and confidence (p=1,000). In the multivariate analysis of variables, because the husband's support and maternal health status during family planning were constant, they were not included in the modeling. The final result of modeling obtained knowledge (p=0.07, 95% CI: 0.35 - 0.597) and occupation (p=0.12, 95% CI: 1.493 - 25,631). Conclusion: Results The most dominant factor is the husband's support factor, followed by maternal health during family planning, knowledge of contraceptives, and mothers who do not work / homemakers. Suggestion: In promoting the family planning program, the first step is to approach and educate the husbands of prospective acceptors. It is necessary to increase knowledge about family planning contraceptives, especially for wives who do not work or are homemakers.

Abstract

Breastfeeding is a natural event for a woman. However, breastfeeding problems that often arise in the early postpartum period (puerperal or lactation period) are breast engorgement. Breast engorgement is a blockage of milk due to the narrowing of the lactiferous ducts or by glands that are not emptied. The impact that will be caused if the breast milk dam is not resolved, namely mastitis and breast abscess, will occur. The use of cabbage or cabbage leaf compresses can be a non-pharmacological treatment. This study aimed to determine the effect of cabbage leaf compresses on breast swelling in postpartum mothers. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design. The design used is Posttest Only Control Group Design. The sample of this study was postpartum mothers who experienced breast swelling in PMB Erniati, North Aceh Regency. The number of respondents was 30 postpartum mothers who were divided into 2 groups (intervention and control groups). Each group consisted of 15 postpartum mothers. The results of statistical tests using the Mann Whitney U test p-value 0.000, which means that cabbage leaf compresses have an effect on breast swelling in postpartum mothers in PMB Erniati, North Aceh Regency.

Abstract

The second goal of SDGs, namely to ensure healthy and encouraging life well-being for every one of everything age in 2030, is to reduce the maternal mortality rate by below 70 per 100,000 KH and reduce the Mortality Rate of Neonatal to 12 per 1000 KH. Profile data Mandala Health Center describes the amount. Dead mothers in 2020 found 1 death mother births, death rates mothers (174.2 per 100,000 births alive ). Amount Infant mortality 1 Infant (1.4 per 1000 births live ) Numbers born died 2 people (2.8 per 1000 live births ). Neonatal deaths are as many as 11 people or around 5.5 per 1000 births. Health center midwife information is known reporting mother and baby pain during this, including during the Covid-19 period in 2020-2021 yet walk well, reports of pregnant women and neonatal risks tall During this reported through report monthly posyandu. The research aims to determine the effect of developing a surveillance model for pregnant women and high-risk newborns during the COVID-19 pandemic by using the "TINA MILA" application to increase the competence of cadres and midwives at the Mandala Health Center in 2022/2023. The research methodology uses a quasi-experimental quantitative design using the dependent T-test. The research team tried to develop a reporting model, "surveillance for early detection of high-risk pregnant and neonatal women during the COVID-19 pandemic," using the "TINA MILA" application. The study results show the average distribution of cadres' knowledge values before and after the Model Development training "Surveillance of high-risk pregnant and neonatal women during the Covid-19 pandemic towards increasing the competence of cadres and midwives in the working area of the Mandala Health Center in 2022. The study's results showed a difference in the average score before and after the training, as indicated by the acquisition of the cadre's knowledge value which had increased after the training. The results of the Wilcoxon Non-Parametric statistical test obtained a value of p = 0.000 which means that statistically, it shows that there is a difference in the average value knowledge of cadres about early detection of high-risk pregnant and neonatal women during the covid-19 period by using the TINAMILA application before after training. To facilitate the use of the application and understanding of early detection of pregnant women and high-risk neonates, it needs to be supported by a guidebook for the use of Surveillance for early detection of pregnant women and high-risk neonates using the TINAMILA application.
