Abstract

Holothurioidea well known as Sea Cucumber is one of the classes from the Echinodermata phylum. Sea cucumbers are benthic animals that move slowly. Currently they already identified about 1135 species. Their existence usually associated with abiotic factors such as water salinity, temperature, pH, wave motion, light intensity and the substrate. The ability of the Holothurioidea to adapt to the abiotic factors will affect species diversity. The research aims is to determine the species diversity in the intertidal zone at Pancur Shore of the Alas Purwo National Park. It includes the species composition, species diversity index and the index of equality The study was conducted on 14th-21st of June 2014, by using systematic plotting transect method. The results found: one order, one family, two generas and eight species. The Species diversity index of Holothurioidea at Pancur Shore is low (0.930) and the equality index  classified uneven (0.447).Keywords: Holothurioidea, intertidal, diversity, evennes

Abstract

It has successfully conducted a research to identify and characterize extract of black sticky rice  (Oryza Sativa Glutinosa) as photosensitizers in making of Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC). Samples were made in the sandwich structure of couple of working electrode and counter electrode. The extraction process of dye in the black sticky rice was stirred for 1 hour and then allowed to stand for 24 hours. Identification of samples using FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra-Red) to determine the chemical bond formed in the sample. Test the absorbance of the sample using UV-Visible Spectrophotometer Lambda 25 test and characterization of current and voltage (I-V) using a Keithley 2602A. The results showed maximum absorbance black rice extract appears in two peaks namely at = 324 nm and = 477 nm. While the I-V curve measurements indicate the efficiency of the resulting large black rice extract was 0.028% on a 12-hour soaking period and 0,032% in 24 hours soaking time. These results indicate that longer soaking could increase the efficiency of the resulting value. Keywords: Ketan Hitam (Oriza Sativa Glutinosa), DSSC,FTIR, UV-Vis, Keithley

Abstract

Applications of covariance Based SEM (CB-SEM) generally use the maximum likelihood, based upon the assumption on the normal distribution of data. One alternative that could be applied if the data were not normally distributed is estimation using  Bollen-Stine bootstrap approach. In this study, the method is applied to reveal the influence of teacher competence, the principal competence, to the value of achievement of national education standards in secondary schools in Banyuwangi. The objective of this paper was to determine and analyze the relationship and to know the  the most dominant indicators of  measure latent variables between the  the principal, teachers competences on national standards of educational attainment in secondary schools in Banyuwangi. The results  indicate that all of the indicator of variables are  valid and reliable to measure corresponding latent variables. Each latent variable has the most dominan indicator. For the principal competence  latent variables the most dominant  indicator is the entrepreneurial competence, for teachers competency the most dominant is personal competence, whereas for  national education standards, the most dominant  standard of facilities. Principal competence  has indirect influence on national education standard achievement, but directly affect the competence of teachers.  Teacher competence directly influence national education standards. Keywords: Power Competence Teachers, Competence Principal, National Education Standards,  covariance Based SEM, Bollen-Stine Bootstrap Estimates

Abstract

Artificial photosynthesis modelling of Ca-Pc-PDI complex Ca Phthalocyanine Perylenediimide), and dendrimer molecule using Density of Functional Theory (DFT) Method has been studied to showed the energy efficiency of these compounds in terms of electron transfer in photosynthesis. The Analysis of Ca-Pc-PDI and dendrimer compound and also chlorophyl has been done in all computations using the GAMESS-US software. The computations result in this research showed that the large wavelength complex compounds of Ca-Pc-PDI obtained was 138.3299 nm and energy efficiency obtained was 0.89 eV. The data analysis states that the absorption of harvest light energy of complex compounds Ca-Pc-PDI lies in the far UV spectrum. The other side, the polyphenylene dendrimer structure molecular orbital analyses it was found that the dendrimer was capable of electron transfers as indicated by the existence of HOMO and LUMO and result comparisons with chlorophyll. UV wavelengths of the polyethylene dendrimer and chlorophyll, respectively, suggesting that the polyphenylene dendrimer is capable of substituting chlorophyll in artificial photosyntheses. We can states from the result that these compound ability to be applied in the modeling of artificial photosynthesis as a material of energy absorption that mimics the workings of chlorophyll in terms of electron transfer in natural photosynthesis process.
