Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based sales and inventory information system for Fotocopy Fajarsidik in Banjar City. The primary issue identified is that sales transactions and inventory records are still managed manually, resulting in potential recording errors, stock data inconsistencies, and delays in report generation. The method applied is Design Thinking, which consists of the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test, using a user-centered approach. The results from black-box testing using the Boundary Value Analysis (BVA) approach indicate that the system achieved a 100% success rate across all testing scenarios. The system is capable of automating sales transaction recording, inventory management, and generating integrated, accurate reports. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of the Design Thinking approach in developing a user-oriented system, as well as the implementation of a real-time low-stock notification feature that is automatically displayed after user login. This feature not only provides minimum stock information but also serves as an early warning system to support proactive inventory control, distinguishing it from conventional approaches that lack automatic notification mechanisms. Therefore, the developed system can improve operational efficiency and support decision-making at Fotocopy Fajarsidik in Banjar City

Abstract

Chronic wounds, particularly diabetic ulcers, remain a major global medical challenge due to their high recurrence rate and substantial treatment costs. Current biomedical research increasingly focuses on wound dressings that are biodegradable, biocompatible, and therapeutically active. This article evaluates the potential of SIRIPLUS, an innovative wound dressing that integrates cassava starch (Manihot esculenta) as a natural polymer matrix and red betel leaf extract (Piper crocatum) as an active pharmacological agent. Using a systematic literature review approach referring to the PRISMA framework, the analysis synthesizes evidence on antioxidant and antibacterial activities, mechanical characteristics, and biodegradation performance. The reviewed studies indicate that Piper crocatum contains key secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and tannins that may regulate p53, E-cadherin, and SOD1 pathways to support re-epithelialization and collagen deposition. Cassava starch offers film-forming ability, biocompatibility, and environmental degradability, while its physical performance can be optimized through plasticizers and cross-linking strategies. Overall, SIRIPLUS shows strong theoretical potential as an effective and environmentally sustainable modern wound dressing

Abstract

Scholarships are financial assistance awarded to support education, typically to students with academic achievements and those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This program aims to improve educational accessibility and ensure continuity of learning opportunities. The Karya Mulia Bangsa Institute (IKMB) has established a scholarship program for outstanding students as part of efforts to enhance human resource quality in Semarang Regency. However, the dissemination of scholarship information remains limited, making it difficult for students to obtain timely, accurate information on registration procedures. This study aims to develop a web-based scholarship information system that integrates infographic technology to enhance information accessibility and presentation. The system development approach is implemented in the IKMB campus environment as the research site and data collection location. The developed system is expected to provide structured, interactive, and easily accessible scholarship information for students. The results indicate that the developed information system can facilitate students in accessing scholarship information and completing online registration processes without the need to visit the registration site directly. Therefore, this system contributes to improving the effectiveness of information dissemination and the efficiency of scholarship administrative processes within IKMB

Abstract

Cybersecurity is an essential aspect of protecting data and digital infrastructure in the era of rapid technological transformation. The increasing number of cyber threats requires professional responsibility that goes beyond technical aspects and considers ethical and legal dimensions. This study aims to examine professional responsibility in cybersecurity from ethical and legal perspectives and to analyze the challenges in its implementation. This research employs a qualitative approach using literature review and case study methods. Data were collected through the analysis of scientific journals, cybersecurity regulations, and organizational policies, as well as semi-structured interviews with cybersecurity professionals, including system administrators, information security analysts, and IT security practitioners. Data analysis used thematic analysis to identify patterns of professional responsibility in cybersecurity practices. The findings indicate that professional responsibility in cybersecurity includes the protection of personal data, compliance with regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the implementation of professional codes of ethics such as the ISC² Code of Ethics and the EC-Council Code of Ethics. In addition, the study reveals that the main challenges lie in ethical hacking practices, user activity monitoring, and vulnerability management, which create dilemmas between security, privacy, and legal compliance. This study concludes that integrating ethics, law, and organizational policies is essential to creating a secure and responsible cybersecurity ecosystem. Professional codes of ethics play a crucial role in guiding ethical behavior and maintaining integrity in facing increasingly complex cyber threats

Abstract

Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. raphani is one of the major constraints in radish cultivation, as it infects the plant vascular system and leads to significant yield losses. Conventional control methods mainly rely on synthetic fungicides; however, their long-term use may cause environmental damage and the development of pathogen resistance. Therefore, there is a need for environmentally friendly alternatives such as allicin derived from Allium sativum L. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of allicin as a biological control agent against F. oxysporum f. sp. raphani using a systematic literature review approach. This study employed a qualitative method based on a systematic literature review of 18 relevant scientific articles. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis focusing on antifungal activity, mechanisms of action, and concentration effectiveness of allicin. The data sources were obtained from peer-reviewed journals, both national and international, indexed in reputable scientific databases. The synthesis results indicate that allicin exhibits significant antifungal activity against Fusarium spp. through sulfhydryl (-SH) enzyme inhibition, oxidative stress induction, and disruption of fungal cell membranes. Its effectiveness is influenced by concentration and extraction methods. However, specific studies on F. oxysporum f. sp. raphani remain limited, indicating a research gap. In conclusion, allicin has strong potential as an environmentally friendly biological control agent for inhibiting the growth of F. oxysporum f. sp. raphani. This study contributes to the development of sustainable plant disease management strategies based on natural compounds

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high volume of coconut water (Cocos nucifera) waste that has not been optimally utilized, despite containing natural nutrients such as sugars, minerals, and bioactive compounds with potential as liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) material. This condition leads to environmental problems in the form of organic waste accumulation and the loss of potential economic value from local resources. The aim of this study is to analyze the application of biological ethics in the fermentation process of coconut water-based LOF and its impacts on environmental, economic, and agricultural sustainability aspects. The research employed an experimental approach using anaerobic fermentation assisted by Lactobacillus sp. and Saccharomyces cerevisiae over 14 days. The observed parameters included pH changes and microbial activity during the fermentation process. The results indicated a gradual decrease in pH, reflecting optimal fermentation activity and the formation of organic acids that enhance nutrient availability. From a bioethical perspective, the utilization of coconut water as LOF provides positive impacts, including waste reduction, increased economic value of organic residues, and support for sustainable agriculture practices. In addition, this process encourages community participation in managing local resources in an environmentally responsible manner. Therefore, coconut water-based LOF has the potential to serve as an innovative and sustainable solution for organic farming systems.

Abstract

Artificial lighting in dragon fruit cultivation involves several physics concepts, particularly light intensity, wavelength, lighting duration, energy conversion, and sensor-based lighting control systems. Among these concepts, this article focuses on light intensity, LED wavelength, lighting duration, and the use of light sensors in automation systems. Dragon fruit (Hylocereus spp.) is a prickly cactus plant originally from Central America and is now widely cultivated in Indonesia. One of the main challenges in dragon fruit cultivation is the limited flowering and fruiting season, which occurs only during certain periods. This study aims to analyze the application of physics concepts in artificial lighting systems to improve the productivity and quality of dragon fruit. The method used in this study is a literature review of relevant previous research. The findings indicate that the use of LED lamps with specific light intensities and wavelengths can stimulate photosynthesis, flowering, and the formation of bioactive compounds such as flavonoids and anthocyanins. In addition, the use of light sensors, solar panels, and Internet of Things-based systems supports energy efficiency and automatic lighting control. Therefore, the application of physics concepts in dragon fruit lighting plays an important role in the development of productive and sustainable smart agriculture.

Abstract

Indonesia is recognized as one of the largest coffee producers in the world, with robusta as one of its leading varieties. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (2023), Indonesian coffee exports in 2023 reached USD 915.92 million with a total volume of 276,280.8 tons. The increasing coffee consumption has led to a significant rise in coffee waste, particularly coffee grounds. Several studies have shown that coffee grounds contain high fiber content and possess considerable antioxidant potential. Therefore, coffee grounds have strong potential to be utilized as a substitute ingredient in bakery products, especially in brownies formulation. This study was conducted in October 2024 at the PHP Laboratory of Politeknik Negeri Jember. The research employed an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a non-factorial model. The treatments consisted of variations in coffee ground flour substitution levels in brownie formulations. Organoleptic evaluation was conducted based on five parameters, namely taste, aroma, texture, color, and overall acceptance, using a Likert scale (1–5) with 32 panelists. The collected data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by the Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test at a 5% significance level. The results indicated that treatment O2 showed the highest preference in several parameters, particularly taste (4.38), color (4.06), and overall acceptance (4.03). These findings demonstrate that robusta coffee ground flour substitution significantly affects the organoleptic characteristics of brownies. Therefore, coffee grounds can be considered a potential alternative ingredient for developing value-added bakery products based on food waste utilization

Abstract

Road safety is an essential component of a sustainable transportation system. Kupang City, as the capital of East Nusa Tenggara Province, has experienced a significant increase in vehicle volume, which contributes to a higher risk of traffic accidents, particularly along Frans Seda Road. This study aims to evaluate the road safety risk level of this road segment using the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) methodology. The research employed a quantitative approach through direct field surveys, utilizing a 100-meter road segmentation technique. Each segment was assessed based on physical road safety parameters, including lane width, median condition, road surface quality, traffic signs and markings, lighting facilities, pedestrian crossings, and sidewalk availability. The collected data were processed using the iRAP system to generate the Star Rating Score (SRS), which is converted into a star rating scale (1–5) for each road user category. The results indicate that segments 22A and 22B obtained a 1-star rating for all road user types, indicating a very high risk level. After simulated infrastructure improvements, the rating increased to 3 and 4 stars, demonstrating a significant improvement in road safety conditions. These findings confirm that the iRAP method is effective for identifying road safety risks and provides a quantitative basis for evidence-based infrastructure improvement planning.

Abstract

The karst region of Gunungkidul Regency is characterized by highly permeable limestone formations that cause rainwater to rapidly infiltrate into the ground, resulting in limited surface water availability. Pulejajar Cave, located in Jepitu Village, Girisubo District, Gunungkidul Regency, serves as an important groundwater source utilized to irrigate approximately 200 hectares of agricultural land. This study aims to evaluate the hydraulic performance of the Pulejajar Cave water distribution network and determine the optimal pipe dimensions using EPANET 2.2. The data employed in this study include the existing distribution network map, pipe dimensions and characteristics, elevation data, and irrigation water demand of 1.45 L/s/ha. Hydraulic simulations were conducted to analyze flow rate, velocity, pressure, and network optimization requirements.The results indicate that the total water supply from Pulejajar Cave reaches 2,738.98 L/s, while the total irrigation water demand is 1,031.95 L/s, resulting in a surplus of 1,707.03 L/s or 165.41% above the required demand. Despite this substantial water availability, the evaluation of the existing network revealed several pipe sections that did not satisfy the hydraulic criteria for HDPE pipes. In particular, Pipe Puncung 1 exhibited a flow velocity of 9.03 m/s, significantly exceeding the recommended maximum limit of 3.0 m/s. Through pipe dimension optimization, the diameter of Pipe Puncung 1 was increased from 90 mm to 200 mm, successfully reducing the flow velocity to 1.83 m/s, which complies with the recommended design standards. Further optimization of other critical pipe segments also improved hydraulic performance, enhanced distribution efficiency, and minimized the risk of infrastructure deterioration. Therefore, EPANET 2.2 proved to be an effective tool for evaluating and optimizing water distribution networks, supporting the sustainability of irrigation systems in the karst region of Gunungkidul
