Abstract

Rainfall is one of the climate elements influenced by various factors, including air temperature and humidity. Banten Province, with diverse geographical conditions, has varying rainfall patterns across its regions. This study aims to analyze the relationships between air temperature and humidity and rainfall in Banten Province during the 2016–2024 period using three statistical methods. Data were obtained from four stations of the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), namely the Climatology Station of South Tangerang, the Meteorology Station of Serang, the Meteorology Station of Curug, and the Geophysics Station of Tangerang, and were retrieved from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The analyses used include descriptive, multiple regression, and time-series analyses. The results of the descriptive analysis indicate diverse climate conditions across stations, with average air temperatures ranging from 27.04°C to 28.76°C, humidity ranging from 77.50% to 82.73%, and rainfall ranging from 115.51 mm/year to 194.87 mm/year. The multiple regression analysis results indicate that the influence of air temperature and humidity on rainfall is weak to moderate, with coefficient of determination values ranging from 11.46% to 54.61%. The time series analysis indicates a similarity in pattern between the predicted and actual rainfall values, with the highest degree of conformity found at the Meteorology Station of Curug. Overall, rainfall in Banten Province is fluctuating and influenced by the complexity of interactions among various natural climate factors.

Abstract

Sustainable transportation is one of the key indicators in the UI GreenMetric ranking system, reflecting a university’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable campus development. This study aims to evaluate the achievement of the Transportation (TR) indicators in the UI GreenMetric at Politeknik Negeri Medan and identify improvement priorities based on the gap level for each indicator. A descriptive quantitative approach with a descriptive-evaluative method was employed. Data were collected through field surveys, observations of transportation facilities, vehicle counts, parking area measurements, and reviews of institutional documents and the UI GreenMetric 2025 assessment instrument. Data were analyzed using Gap Score Analysis, comparing actual scores with the maximum scores established by UI GreenMetric. The results revealed that Politeknik Negeri Medan achieved a Transportation score of 372.5 points, equivalent to 20.69% of the maximum score of 1,800 points. Campus mobility remains highly dependent on motorized vehicles, with a vehicle-to-population ratio of 0.18 and parking areas occupying 9.54% of the total campus area. Furthermore, the campus has not yet provided shuttle services, zero-emission vehicles, or information technology-based transportation systems. The Gap Score Analysis identified TR2 as the indicator with the highest gaps. Therefore, future transportation development should prioritize low-emission transportation modes, private vehicle reduction programs, and smart mobility implementation

Abstract

Large-scale Portland cement production contributes significant CO₂ emissions and increases construction costs. This study aims to analyze the effect of quicklime powder (CaO) substitution on concrete compressive strength and to determine the substitution level that still meets the target compressive strength. A laboratory experimental method was used with three substitution variations: 0% (control), 2.5%, and 5.5%. Each variation comprised 3 cube specimens measuring 15×15×15 cm (9 specimens total), with a concrete mix designed according to SNI 7656:2012 for a planned strength of K-125. Mix design parameters: w/c = 0.56; planned slump 75–150 mm; composition per m³: cement 366.07 kg, sand 693.78 kg, gravel 1,085.15 kg, water 205 liters. Compressive strength testing was conducted at 28 days using a Compression Testing Machine (CTM) per SNI 1974:2011, with age limited to 28 days as it represents final concrete strength per SNI 1974:2011 and ASTM C39/C39M. Results showed mean compressive strengths of: 0% = 19.78 MPa (SD = 1.28 MPa; CV = 6.5%), 2.5% = 17.95 MPa (SD = 0.65 MPa; CV = 3.6%), and 5.5% = 15.72 MPa (SD = 4.44 MPa; CV = 28.2%). Strength reduction was caused by the dilution effect, low CaO reactivity compared to Portland cement, and non-uniform particle distribution at higher substitution levels. The 2.5% substitution still met the target compressive strength (16.89 MPa) and is considered feasible, while 5.5% did not. The optimal substitution level is ≤2.5%

Abstract

Financial management is a common challenge faced by students living away from home, especially those who often run out of pocket money before the end of the month. This condition is not always caused by consumptive behavior, but also due to a lack of planning and a structured expenditure prediction system. This study developed a financial analysis program based on the C++ programming language with an object-oriented programming (OOP) approach that implements the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) algorithm to model and predict students' monthly expenses based on the amount of pocket money they receive. The research data were obtained from 30 students with pocket money ranging from Rp 1,100,000 to Rp 3,500,000 per month, which reflects the real conditions of students in medium-large cities in Indonesia. Descriptive statistical analysis shows that on average, students spend approximately 82.9% of their pocket money each month. The modeling results show a regression equation Ŷ = Rp 119,867 + 0.8221 × X with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.9979 and a determination coefficient of R² = 0.9957, meaning that the pocket money variable is able to explain 99.57% of the variation in student expenditure. The F-test produces F-calculated = 6,732.45, which far exceeds F-table = 4.20 at a significance level of 5%, proving the model is statistically significant. Accuracy evaluation using MAE produces a value of Rp 18,142 (approximately 1% of the average expenditure) and an RMSE of Rp 23,457. It was also found that the marginal propensity to consume (MPC) phenomenon decreases with increasing pocket money, consistent with the economic theory of consumption. This study proves that the OLS algorithm implemented in C++ is an effective, accurate, and efficient tool for analyzing and predicting student financial patterns computationally.

Abstract

This study aims to synthesize and analyze various strategies for enhancing Science Process Skills (SPS) in physics education based on a literature review of several previous research findings. Science process skills are a key element in physics learning that views science not only as a product of facts and theories but also as a research process through observation and experimentation. The method used in this article is a systematic literature review by analyzing 15 research articles covering the use of learning models such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), guided inquiry, STEAM, and the utilization of digital media such as e-modules. According to Rachmat Rizaldi, the results of the analysis indicate that the application of active learning models significantly improves students' SPS with varying effectiveness scores, where the use of PBL-based e-modules recorded an effectiveness score of 75.41. Furthermore, a positive correlation was found between school accreditation status and students' SPS achievement levels, with A-accredited schools showing higher performance compared to B and C-accredited schools. This study concludes that the integration of innovative learning models, digital media, and the development of scientific attitudes is the most effective strategy to optimize SPS. The implications of this research are expected to serve as a reference for educational practitioners in designing more adaptive and comprehensive physics learning tools.

Abstract

This study aimed to redesign the mobile user interface of the Sinar Education admin panel, an educational tutoring institution in Tambun Selatan, Bekasi Regency. The existing admin panel displayed desktop-oriented data tables that, when accessed on mobile devices, resulted in truncated columns requiring horizontal scrolling, inconsistent action button placement across pages, and a persistent sidebar consuming screen space. The redesign focused on five main pages: dashboard, admin management, applicant list, student management, and payment management. The study employed Design Thinking through five stages (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test) combined with System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation before and after the redesign on 10 administrators. The mean SUS score increased from 53.25 (median 55, OK category) to 81.75 (median 82.5, good to excellent category), an improvement of 28.50 points. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test confirmed that this improvement was statistically significant (W=3, p=0.0098, effect size r=0.89). The greatest improvements were observed in workflow clarity and perceived complexity. This study suggests that card-based layouts replacing columnar tables and hamburger menus replacing persistent sidebars have the potential to improve perceived usability for mobile admin panels in nonformal education contexts. This study measured perceived usability via SUS rather than objective task performance, and generalization of the findings should take this limitation into account

Abstract

The rising costs of construction materials and labor have significantly increased the overall cost of residential construction, making it necessary to identify more economical alternative construction methods without compromising building quality. This study aims to analyze and compare the construction costs of wall work using the ferrocement method and the conventional method employing Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks in the construction of a Type 50 house in Kediri Regency. The research employed a comparative quantitative approach using the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 2024) Work Unit Price Analysis (AHSP). The data consisted of Type 50 house design drawings, work volumes, material and labor coefficients, and the prevailing prices of construction materials and labor in Kediri Regency. The analysis focused on wall construction by preparing the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Cost Estimate (RAB), followed by a comparison of material costs, labor costs, total construction costs, and the efficiency of each construction method.The results indicate that the ferrocement method requires approximately 1.37 m³ of mortar, with cement, sand, and wire mesh as the primary materials, whereas the AAC method uses lightweight concrete blocks, thin-bed mortar adhesive, and plastering. Based on the cost estimation analysis, the total cost of wall construction using the ferrocement method is lower than that of the AAC method, resulting in significant cost savings. In addition to its economic advantage, the ferrocement method offers a lighter structural weight and more efficient use of construction materials. Therefore, ferrocement can be recommended as an economical and technically feasible alternative for wall construction in Type 50 residential buildings in Kediri Regency

Abstract

The transfer of agricultural extension management authority from local governments to the Ministry of Agriculture has necessitated improvements in the capacity and effectiveness of agricultural extension services. This study provides a new perspective on agricultural extension in the post-transition period and its implications for enhancing extension workers' performance. The study aims to analyze the internal and external factors affecting the performance of agricultural extension workers and to formulate strategies to improve their performance at the Tembilahan Agricultural Extension Center (Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian/BPP) in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research was conducted from January to May 2026 and involved all seven agricultural extension workers assigned to the Tembilahan Agricultural Extension Center (BPP), along with one district working team coordinator, as respondents. The findings indicate that the internal condition of the Tembilahan Agricultural Extension Center is strong, with an Internal Factor Analysis Summary (IFAS) score of 3.55, while its external condition is moderate, with an External Factor Analysis Summary (EFAS) score of 2.20. The strategic position falls within Quadrant I, indicating that the organization possesses sufficient strengths to capitalize on available opportunities. The priority strategies recommended include optimizing extension programs to meet farmers' needs, enhancing extension workers' competencies through Training of Trainers (ToT) programs, strengthening partnerships with farmers, and improving work motivation by providing incentives and awards

Abstract

Lettuce is a vegetable with a broad market and high economic value, making it a promising candidate for hydroponic cultivation. This study aimed to assess the financial and non-financial feasibility of hydroponic lettuce production at the K24 Hydroponic Farm. The non-financial analysis covered legal, marketing, technical, human resource management, and socio-environmental aspects, while the financial analysis examined revenue, the R/C ratio, and the Break-Even Point (BEP). The research location was selected purposively because it is an active hydroponic farming operation. Purposive sampling was employed to select the respondent: the manager of the K24 Hydroponic Farm. The results indicate that the K24 Hydroponic Farm business is feasible from both financial and non-financial perspectives, except for legal and human resource management aspects. Financial analysis revealed an average annual revenue of IDR 217,828,002.00, an R/C ratio of 7.37, a BEP in volume of 1,366.88 kg, and a BEP in price of IDR 3,390.08/kg. Consequently, the K24 Hydroponic Farm business is deemed feasible to operate.

Abstract

This research was motivated by an observed pattern of stamina decline among eighth-grade students participating in the football extracurricular program at SMP Ar Raudloh Karangtanjung Kebumen, particularly during the second half of matches, a pattern that had not previously been supported by objective measurement data. This study aimed to determine students' VO₂max levels based on Bleep Test results and to describe the distribution of their aerobic fitness categories according to established VO₂max norms. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method using a survey approach. The research subjects consisted of 18 eighth-grade students participating in the football extracurricular program at SMP Ar Raudloh Karangtanjung Kebumen, selected through a total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using the Bleep Test (Multistage Fitness Test) on the school's football field during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Test results were converted to VO₂max values (ml/kg/min) using a standard conversion table and subsequently categorized according to Cooper's norms for males aged 13–19 years. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency distribution and percentage. The results showed that students' VO₂max levels ranged from 33.5 to 47.9 ml/kg/min, with a mean value of 40.43 ml/kg/min, which falls into the Fair category according to Cooper's norms. The distribution of aerobic fitness categories was as follows: Fair, 8 students (44.44%); Poor, 5 students (27.78%); Good, 3 students (16.67%); Very Poor, 2 students (11.11%); while no students fell into the Excellent or Superior (Athlete) categories (0.00%). Overall, 83.33% of students were classified below the good category, indicating that most students' cardiorespiratory endurance remains suboptimal for supporting optimal and competitive football performance. These findings underscore the need to evaluate and improve the aerobic endurance training program within the football extracurricular activities at SMP Ar Raudloh Karangtanjung, Kebumen
