Abstract

Di Kalimantan Tengah, pembangunan jaringan saluran secara besar-besaran dan sangat kompleks menyebabkan kerusakan dan degradasi yang intensif terhadap kondisi gambut dan rawa gambut yang ditandai dengan perubahan tutupan lahan, penurunan muka air tanah, kebakaran, beberapa bencana kekeringan, penurunan tanah, dan lain sebagainya. Salah satu langkah untuk mengatasi kondisi tersebut adalah dengan mengatur kondisi hidrologi di area tersebut. Duflow digunakan untuk mensimulasi tinggi muka air di saluran dan Modflow digunakan untuk mencari distribusi dan karakteristik dari muka air tanah di lapangan. Berdasarkan simulasi dari 2 model tersebut, kondisi eksisting (musim kering), area studi mengalami kekeringan karena muka air tanah turun lebih dari 1 m dibawah permukaan tanah. Hasil yang diperoleh, usaha untuk merehabilitasi rawa gambut dengan mengatur muka air tanah mendekati elevasi permukaan tanah melalui 2 skenario (canal blocking and pemasangan bendung bertingkat) di musim kering tidak sepenuhnya menyelesaikan semua masalah di area itu. Meskipun hasilnya akan berbeda, jika itu disimulasikan di musim basah ketika pengaruh air hujan dimasukkan ke dalam perhitungan, beberapa langkah lain seharusnya di diterapkan seperti pendekatan manajemen air lainnya dan program silvikultur. Dalam pendekatan silvikultur, beberapa teknik dan prosedur seharusnya dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas tutupan lahan guna mendukung fungsi hidrologi secara alamiah. Penanaman kembali secara intensif semestinya dilakukan di lapangan melalui sistem jalur. Jadi, dengan 2 pendekatan yang terintegrasi tersebut, tingkat kesuksesan dalam rehabilitasi rawa gambut akan dapat dioptimalkan.

Abstract

Main issues frequently faced by communities living in the city of Jakarta is salt water intrusion. This paper analyzes the extent of the distribution of saltwater contamination to coastal aquifers in Jakarta, the method used is the open source program FREEWAT. modeling is carried out in five scenarios, namely (1) reduction of 50% of groundwater use, (2) reduction of 25% of groundwater use, (3) existing groundwater use in 2012, (4) increase of 25% of groundwater use, and (5) increase of 50% of groundwater use. From the modeling results, the distribution of saltwater contamination on each layer of the aquifer of Jakarta. In unconfined aquifer the existing condition is scenario 3 intrusion as far as 1.604 m, on scenario 1 there is an intrusion decrease of 38%, in scenario 2 there is an intrusion decrease of 13%, in scenario 4 there is an increase in intrusion by 17% and on scenario 5 increase intrusion by 25%. In upper confined aquifer, the existing condition, namely scenario 3, has occurred as much as 1.809 m intrusion, in scenario 1 there is an intrusion decrease of 23%, in scenario 2 there is an intrusion decrease of 8%, in scenario 4 there is an increase in intrusion by 19% and in scenario 5 increase intrusion by 26%. In middle confined aquifer, the existing condition is scenario 3, 1.927 m intrusion occurs, on the scenario 1 there is an intrusion decrease of 23%, in scenario 2 there is an intrusion decrease of 9%, in scenario 4 there is an increase in intrusion by 16% and in the scenario 5 increase intrusion by 22%.

Abstract

Sampora Water Treatment Plant (WTP) free intake has been suffering from problems due to sediment and trash deposition at the intake pond that disrupt the water collection process through the intake pump. In this study, several technical approaches were carried out to overcome the related problems such as riverbank cutting, intake length addition, and combination of both approaches. A Physical Hydraulic Model Tests was conducted in order to assess the effectiveness of each approach before it is applied in the field. The Physical Hydraulic Model Tests was performed into four series examinations, there is the existing condition, riverbank cutting at the upstream and downstream of intake, intake length addition, and combination between riverbank cutting and intake length addition. The results showed that riverbank cutting has been directing the river main flow from right to the left side of river with an average flow velocity at in front of intake above 0.70 m/s. The main flow shifting causes the suspended load sediment deposition in front of intake reduced significantly. This condition also causes bed load sediments in front of intake area almost completely scoured. Riverbank cutting chosen as the best approach because the flow pattern is smoother and more streamlines than the other series.

Abstract

Model Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) merupakan salah satu model yang banyak digunakan dalam penelitian pengelolaan DAS. Model ini dapat berfungsi dengan baik untuk menggambarkan kondisi hidrologi pada DAS besar dan komplek dengan berbagai skenario pengelolaan. Model hidrologi SWAT dapat digunakan sebagai alat pengambil keputusan dalam pengeloaan DAS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi keragaan DAS Cisadane berhubungan dengan scenario sistem pengelolaan DAS dengan menggunakan SWAT. Penelitian ini membandingkan perencanaan pengelolaan DAS Cisadane yang dilakukan oleh (1) Balai Pengelolaan Daerah Aliran Sungai(BP DAS) Ciliwung-Cisadane, (2) Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah (BAPPEDA) Kabupaten Bogor dan Tangerang dan (3) Balai Besar Wilayah Sungai Ciliwung-Cisadane. Metode pengambilan keputusan, menggunakan indikator kinerja DAS meliputi koefisien regim sungai (KRS), debit jenis (Q jenis), koefisien aliran permukaan (c), padatan terlarut total (TDS) dan indeks erosi (IE). Semakin rendah nilai-nilai kriteria tersebut menunjukkan semakin baik perencanaan pengelolaan DAS. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan pengelolaan yang dilakukan oleh BP DAS Ciliwung-Cisadane (skenario 1) memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap pengelolaan DAS yang ditunjukkan oleh indikator kinerja DAS bernilai paling kecil. KRS bernilai 14,3, Q jenis mempunyai nilai 17,1, c dengan nilai 0,3, TDS bernilai33,5dan IE mempunyai nilai 2,1.

Abstract

The recent rapid development on the computation speed and capacity of random access memory of personal computer has presented opportunities and challenges on the implementation of finite element method on the modelling of river morphology response under steady as well as unsteady flow conditions. As consequences, the temporal and spatial lag effects due to sudden changes in hydrodynamic conditions as well as the requirement to take numerical space steps that are shorter than the adaptation length of the alluvial system to adjust to the changes in hydrodynamic conditions must be well taken into account. This paper describes in detail the modelling method including testing of model performance in simulating particularly the spatial lag of alluvial system.
