Abstract

The intersection of Jalan Patih Rumbih-Jalan Jawa-Jalan Keruing is located in Kuala Kapuas and is part of the Trans Kalimantan Highway. The intersection experiences heavy traffic, especially in the morning and evening. To assess the performance of the intersection, the method used was direct observation. Furthermore, data analysis was carried out using the Indonesian Road Capacity Standard (PKJI 2023) guidelines. Based on the analysis and calculations, the densest traffic occurs between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The results obtained for the current intersection condition are a Degree of Saturation of 0.788, an Intersection Delay of 39.15 seconds/smp, and a level of service D. Furthermore, alternative improvements were carried out so that the solution implemented to the problem was a geometric widening of the road to 10 meters for the main road and 9 meters for the secondary road with a change in signal to three phases. The average delay at the intersection is 22.27 seconds/smp, the degree of saturation reaches 0.392, and the cycle time is set at 74 seconds, with a service level index of C, which meets the criteria for a signalized intersection. Keywords: APILL, Urban Traffic Congestion, Degree of Saturation, Level of Service, Signal Cycle Optimization

Abstract

This study analyzes the productivity, time, and cost of foundation piling work using the Hydraulic Static Pile Driver (HSPD) on the Construction Project of the Official Residence of the Governor of South Kalimantan. Piling was carried out at 132 points with a total pile length of 1,584 meters. The results of the study show that the actual productivity reached 60.54 m/hour. The actual implementation time required only 4 working days or 28 hours, which is faster than the initial plan of 7 working days or 49 hours. This study did not include an analysis of the move-to-point time between pile locations. In terms of cost, the actual total cost amounted to IDR 187,246,000.00, which is lower than the estimated budget of IDR 201,608,500.00. These findings indicate that the actual implementation was more efficient in terms of both time and cost, and demonstrate the optimal performance of the HSPD in the field. Keywords: Equipment Productivity, Construction Cost, Project Duration

Abstract

Teluk Dalam River in Banjarmasin City has a boundary line of less than 5 meters. This causes people to have direct contact with the river, which makes it easy to dispose of waste that will cause sedimentation. Floods can occur at any time with shallowing of the channel, narrowing of the river dimensions, and the increasing population which results in reduced water catchment areas coupled with high rainfall intensity. HEC-RAS 6.5 software will simulate overflows in the river with return periods of 2, 5, 10, and 25 years. Calculation of planned rainfall using the Log Person III distribution method using rainfall data from the Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Class II Meteorological Station, rainfall intensity using the mononobe method, and calculation of planned discharge using the rational method. After simulation using HEC-RAS software between the planned discharge of the return period and the existing cross-section, overflows occur at every return period along the river. Normalization is needed so that the planned discharge of the return period can flow without endangering the surrounding environment. A normalization simulation was carried out in the form of changing the cross-section dimensions by increasing the depth of the river so that a dredging volume of 24,708 m3 was obtained. Keywords: Normalization, Flood, HEC-RAS, Unsteady Flow, Teluk Dalam River

Abstract

In order to reach the target plan on the Syamsuddin Noor International Airport Road Construction project, the contractor applied overtime working hours for the labor. The application of overtime working hours requires issues on budget. This overtime productivity measurement is useful to find out the effectiveness of the overtime working hour. One of the methods for measuring labor productivity is using the partial productivity approach, which can be measured by knowing the input and output values of the equation of partial production. For the calculation of labor productiveness of the Syamsuddin Noor Internasional Airport Access Road Construction project, the input value is the amount of time used per day, whereas the output value is the amount volume of work produced per day.         The result from this analysis with a partial productivity approach found that the average productivity of normal working hours was 1661,87 m/hour for galam pile work and 17,83 m3/hour for embankment work. Furthermore, the average productivity of overtime hours was 2715,46 m/hour for galam pile work and  41,31 m3/hour for embankment work. The results show that overtime working hour productivity is higher than normal working hour productivity, which can be caused by some reasons. The main obstacle is rainy weather that requires work to be temporarily stopped and can only be continued when the rain stops or even sometimes have to wait for the site to be dry enough. The application of overtime working hours increases the wage budget by 30,38%. However, the overtime labor cost applied in the Syamsuddin Noor International Airport Access Road Construction project is not in line with the overtime labor cost based on provisions of PP Number 35 Year 2021.Keywords: Partial productivity, labor, overtime working hours, overtime labor cost.

Abstract

Damage to building structures poses a threat to the quality of the building, which will impact its functionality. Structural damage can be caused by earthquakes. This research aims to determine the performance level and the effect of variations in short column heights on the inter-story drift of a mosque building with a tiered roof slab in a pushover analysis. The pushover analysis in this study refers to FEMA 356 and ATC-40, by determining the target displacement value, drift ratio, collapse mechanism, and building performance level. In accordance with FEMA 356, the pushover analysis results show an Operational performance level with drift ratios in the X and Y directions of 0.451% and 0.458% respectively, which means the building only experienced minor damage and can still be used as normal. Based on ATC-40, the analysis results show an Immediate Occupancy performance with a drift ratio in the X and Y directions of 0.00368, so the building is in a safe condition and can be used immediately. The influence of variations in column height on inter-story drift shows that the higher the column, the larger the inter-story drift. Keywords : Pushover Analysis, Target Displacement, Drift Ratio, Plastic Hinge, Performance Level, Tiered Roof Slab

Abstract

In a project, the most influential thing on the success or failure of the project is time and budget. In the Long Segment Handling Supervision Project (Routine Maintenance, Periodic Maintenance, Improvement/Reconstruction) of the Handil Jawa – Jambu Burung Road (DAK), Banjar Regency experienced a delay in project work. So that it was accelerated using Crashing. In this study, crashing with overtime (additional working hours) was used and calculated late fines on the project. By accelerating activities that are experiencing critical paths. The results of this study were obtained that the total cost was carried out crashing with the method of adding 4 working hours with a duration of 162 and still experiencing delays for 12 days with a total cost of Rp. 10,100,506,276.77. Meanwhile, the total acceleration was not carried out by experiencing a delay of 16 days of Rp.10,056,662,598.08. Therefore, the results obtained  are crashing with an additional 4 hours of efficient and optimal work in total costs. Keywords: Project delays, Crashing, increased working hours (overtime).

Abstract

The Nan Sarunai Tanjung Selatan four-leg intersection, previously a T-intersection, now functions as a four-leg intersection following the construction of the Nan Sarunai Road. This change has increased vehicle volume, resulting in delays and noise. This study aims to evaluate the intersection's performance, noise levels, and the correlation between vehicle volume and noise using the IHCM 2023 methodology and Excel application, with traffic volume and noise data collected over 12 hours on October 21, 2024.            The analysis shows that the current intersection performance is still optimal with a Degree of Saturation (DS) of 0.35. However, a 20-year projection indicates a performance decline with a DS of 0.99. The proposed solution is to convert the intersection into a signalized intersection, which can improve performance to a Level of Service (LOS) C with a DS of 0.81. The study also found a strong correlation between vehicle volume and noise, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.63 at the intersection and r = 0.54 in the surrounding area. Keywords: Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM 2023), Signalized Intersection, Level of Service Index, Capacity, Degree of Saturation, Delay Time, Queue Probability, Noise Levels, Forecasting, Correlation

Abstract

The Tanjung Baru - Nan Sarunai four-way intersection, a strategic non-signalized junction connecting the national roads of South, Central, and East Kalimantan, experiences significant traffic congestion due to heavy vehicle flows, particularly mining employee fleets. This study employs the 2023 Indonesian Highway Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023) and Excel-based calculations using geometric intersection data, traffic volume, noise levels, and population data from Tabalong Regency.            The peak traffic hour was identified between 3:10 PM and 4:10 PM WITA, with existing conditions showing Dj = 0.30, T = 8.48, and Pa = 9.10%. A 21-year traffic forecast indicates increased congestion (Dj = 0.86, T = 14.70, Pa = 43.99%). Proposed alternatives, including lane widening and signalization, yielded a service level index of C (Dj = 0.82, T = 20.06, TLL = 37.4). Peak noise levels reached 100.9 dB at the intersection and 92.8 dB in the surrounding area, with strong correlation values observed (R = 0.76 for the intersection; R = 0.56 for the area). Keywords: Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI 2023), Forecasting, APILL Intersection, Level of Service Index, Capacity, Degree of Saturation, Delay Time, Queue Probability, Noise Level, and Correlation.
