Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of seaweed cultivation on the water quality of vannamei shrimp aquaculture ponds in the Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. This research was conducted for approximately 10 (ten) years in 2020. The research location was around the waters of the Suppa District, Pinrang Regency. includes preparation / preliminary observation in the field, determining sample points or selecting observation stations, collecting data in the field, taking samples then observing the laboratory, and making reports. Analysis of water quality for seaweed cultivation includes parameters of Salinity, Temperature, DO, pH, Nitrate and Phosphate. Based on laboratory tests, it is known that for analysis of seaweed cultivation water quality, the average value of each parameter is temperature 30 0c, Salinity 36 ppt, DO 6.44 ppm, pH 8.30, Flow 0.35 m / s, Brightness 58%, Nitrate 0.005 mg / l, and 0.00026 ppm Phosphate While the results of laboratory analysis of physical and chemical parameters in the area of ​​vannamei shrimp pond cultivation in Suppa District, Pinrang Regency, it is known that the average value of each parameter is temperature 30 0c, Salinity 33 ppt, DO 6.0 ppm, pH 8.4, Nitrate 0.0061 mg / l, and Phosphate 0.0032 ppm. The analysis of the suitability of pond land based on the analysis carried out found that it was suitable for 727.66 ha. And the effect of seaweed cultivation is very good for its influence on the quality of white shrimp pond water.

Abstract

Binanga Karaeng village is located in Pinrang Regency, Indonesia. In the village, the majority of the population works as fishermen. This is due to the huge potential of natural resources. However, this has not guaranteed the welfare of fishermen. The purpose of this study is to conduct an analysis of fishermen's activities in terms of their social and economic aspects. Research is done with descriptive methods. Analysis is done by descriptive methods and social analysis. The results showed that the social condition of the community has not prospered due to consumptive community lifestyles, the existence of price monopolies by traders and low levels of fishermen's human resources education. Variable Gross Tonnage, age, and trip capture that has a significant influence on the income of fishermen Binanga Karaeng Village Pinrang Regency. Based on SWOT analysis, the right strategy to solve socio-economic problems in accordance with swot matrix analysis is the role of extension to conduct participatory counseling, provide grant assistance in the form of fishing facilities and infrastructure, provide training related to science and technology, the role of banking to provide capital access to fishermen both individually, group and cooperative so as to improve welfare. Abstract

Shrimp cultivation in Indonesia is still a lot that implements the traditional shrimp farming system. Traditional shrimp ponds often experience death due to infection with various pathogens, and one of these diseases is EHP or called white peces disease (WFD) because the shrimp droppings are white and floating on the surface of the pond water. So far, shrimp diseases caused by EHP can only be anticipated with preventive measures including selection of superior seeds, increasing shrimp immunity and good aquaculture management. Therefore, it is very necessary to have a prevention effort by carrying out early warning and monitoring of the presence of the disease during the shrimp farming period. Until now, there is still lack of information regarding the description of environmental conditions and shrimp conditions before cases of EHP infection occurred in traditional pond shrimp. Presence of initial information is very important for cultivators in determining the steps to be taken so as not to experience large losses. Therefore, it is important to carry out this research or engineering activity to get a picture of the condition of shrimp and the environment of traditional ponds before EHP infection is detected. The results obtained showed that cases of EHP infection in vannamei shrimp in traditional ponds were characterized by a decrease in the uniformity of shrimp weight to only 20%. There was an increase in cases of filamentous bacterial infection by up to 50%, the temperature and pH of pond water continued to fall along with the length of maintenance

Abstract

Ammani Hamlet is located in Mattiro Tasi Village, Mattiro Sompe District, Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi. In this area there is tourism potential, namely Harapan Ammani Beach. The purpose of this study was to determine the perception and strategy of tourism development so that Ammani Beach can be developed sustainably. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method. The study was conducted for two months. The results showed that the potential for the development of Harapan Ammani beach for beach tourism was very suitable (S1) to be developed into beach tourism based on the tourism suitability index (IKW) which was 92.86%. The community's perception of the development of Harapan Ammani beach tourism is agreeing with a percentage of 100% and this indicates that Harapan Ammani beach tourism is feasible to be developed. The strategy for developing tourist objects and attraction data in the application must really pay attention to the maximum existing potential as well as facilities and infrastructure in order to create maximum attraction, so that many people want to visit.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the current conditions, examine the utilization of facilities and infrastructure for the Lero Fish Landing Base (PPI) and its development; and formulate a management strategy. This research was carried out from March to June 2021 at the Lero Fish Landing Base (PPI). The research method is observation and interview. Determination of the sample by purposive sampling, the number of respondents 48 people. Data were analyzed descriptively, using utilization rate analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of the study show: 1) The current condition of PPI Lero's facilities and infrastructure is in poor to very good condition, it is necessary to manage its utilization and develop human resources; 2) Utilization of facilities and infrastructure of PPI Lero obtained a percentage of <100% or has not reached optimal, it is necessary to build a breakwater and SPDN; 3) PPI Lero by utilizing existing strengths to seize opportunities as much as possible so that it can establish cooperation between the Government and private companies in its management so as to improve the welfare of the community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the distance relationship of the location of the gill net rajungan fishing gear to the catch of knitting (Portunus pelagicus). This study was conducted from September to November 2019 in the waters of Balang Lompo Island, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The study used field observation methods to conduct observations, measurements and data retrieval, covering primary and secondary data. Data processing uses the help of statistical data processing programs. Based on the results of research that the distance relationship of the location of the gill net rajungan fishing gear to the catch of rajungan (Portunus pelagicus) in the waters of Balang Lompo Island, is very crowded, the farther from the beach the greater the number of catches.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate policies by the government in controlling IUU in the waters of Pohuwato Regency. The method used in this research is the interview method, the distribution of questionnaires, documentation and direct observation which is supported by two data, namely primary and secondary data. Determination of respondents is done by purposive sampling with resource persons or people who are considered to have the most knowledge of the problems faced in the field such as fishery entrepreneurs, fishermen, apparatus at the village, sub-district and district levels as well as related officials. The data analysis used is according to the research objectives, namely needs analysis and SWOT. The fishing control strategy carried out in the waters of Pohuwato Regency is the approach to managing ship documents, increasing human resources, developing infrastructure and operational costs, improving the fishermen's economy and community skills, law enforcement in the field of marine and fisheries, increasing Pokmakwas in every village and raising public awareness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is 1) The composition of the type of catch of crayfish caught in the water around the island of Salemo. 2) Long-weight crayfish pearl (P. ornatus) and Sex ratio. This research will be conducted on October 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022 in the Salemo Island Waters in the Kabupatan Pangkep area. The research method used to identify the type of crayfish was carried out visually by looking at the color patterns found in the body segments based on the book Moosa and Aswandy (1984), identification of crayfish types was carried out using the identification key from William. The results of this study showed that there were 3 types of crayfish or lobsters, namely pearl crayfish (P. ornatus) as many as 38.23 heads or 38.23%, pearl crayfish (P. versicolor) as many as 218 heads or 41.05%, and batik crayfish (P. longipes) as many as 110 heads or 20.72%. With the largest size is pearl crayfish (P. ornatus). The sex ratio of male and female crayfish pearl crayfish (P. ornatus) is 0.45 : 0.55 or a ratio of 1 : 1. The relationship between the length and weight of pearl crayfish is classified as a minor allometric growth pattern.

Abstract

This research was conducted from November 9, 2021, to December 09, 2021. This research aimed to determine the condition of the Kasiwa fish landing base facility, analyze the utilization of the Kasiwa landing base facility, Mamuju District, West Sulawesi province, as well as the development of the Kasiwa mamuju fish landing base facility. Data collection was carried out through a field survey. and interviews using a list of questions (questionnaires). Analysis of the data using the suitability analysis of the utilization of the Kasiwa mamuju fish landing base facility. The results of this study indicate that the utilization of the Kasiwa fish landing base facility in the Mamuju district is in good condition and it is necessary to develop the Kasiwa fish landing base facility to make it easier for fishermen to unload and handle the catch.

Abstract

White Snapper (Lates Calcarifer) has a fairly complete nutritional content, is favored by the community and has high economic value. The success of white snapper cultivation is determined by the availability of feed during maintenance. This study aims to analyze the use of gold snails as a substitute for pellet feed on the growth and survival of white snapper, by feeding gold snails, pellets and a combination of both. The research took place from July to November 2021 at the Pond and Field Laboratory of FPIK, Indonesian Muslim University in Kalibone, Pangkep. The method was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications; namely Treatment A (pellets), Treatment B (conch Emas) and Treatment C (pellets and snails Emas). Parameters measured were growth rate of fish body weight and length, Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Survival, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The data were analyzed using analysis of variance value (ANOVA) and further test of Least Significant Difference (LSD) was performed if the ANOVA was significant using SPSS 22 software. The results of this study showed that the treatment used had no significant effect on all parameters measured except for absolute length growth. This shows that the use of golden snails for barramundi feed can be used to substitute pellet feed which is relatively more expensive. Even in the growth parameters, the use of golden snails was better than pellet feed, although the difference in growth was not statistically significant.
