Abstract

This research aims to; 1) Designing and making aluminium melting crucible casting with the capacity15 kg; 2) Conducting the test of chemical composition of the first and second melting result. Theresearch used field and library research. From the result of the design, it could be obtained that thedimension of melting casting has 547 mm diameter, 3 mm thick, 410 mm high. Whereas, molten cup has 178 mm diameter, 8 mm thick, and 230 mm high. The result of the first melting chemicalcomposition test and the second one do not work out a significant change. The material of the firstmelting result still contains 89,52% of aluminium (Al), while the main fusion is 7,71% of zinc (Zn)and 1,84% of silicon (Si), and in the second melting result still contains 89,55% of Alumunium (Al),while the main fusion is 7,51% of zinc (Zn) and 1,94% of silicon (Si).

Abstract

The application of the Fuzzy Tsukamoto, Sugeno, and Mamdani methods in determining poor families in Sumedang Regency can be done by the three methods using poor family outcomes which differ from the results of all data calculations. From all data calculated using the fuzzy logic method of the Tsukamoto, Sugeno, and Mamdani methods, it can be concluded that there are 4 data classified as poor and 16 data classified as not poor in the Tsukamoto method, 8 data classified as poor and 12 data classified not poor in the Sugeno method, and 10 data classified as poor and 10 classified as not poor in the Mamdani method. These results indicate that each method has different results even though the input used is the same.

Abstract

Information about UMKM is very much needed by the Cooperative Office of UMKM in determining the direction of MSME development. Accurate data will have the right impact in determining development programs and services for SMEs. The problem that often occurs in managing UMKM data and Consultation is that management is still done  manually using a book, so the risk for data loss, double data, and data retrieval are difficult when data is needed quickly. So based on these problems it is necessary to have an Information System to manage MSME data. The method used is the waterfall software development method. The results of this study are systems that can facilitate datamanagement, speed up the data search process, classify according to criteria so that it can be used as a reference in the development and service of MSMEs and assist cooperative service consultants in the business consultation process.

Abstract

In every academic and student activity, data collection on student meetings is always done. General student data collection activities are still carried out manually by filling in the student attendance form. Besides being able to help and correct problems in lecturing activities, the manual presentation system is not practical in centralized recording and also increases human error in recording. The technology that can be used to add to these shortcomings is Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) in the presence of students. By utilizing RFID technology to approve and MySQL as a database, it is expected that student data collection and recording can be done easily and centrally. It can be concluded from the study that each RFID card used is a unique card identity that functions as a valid marker or identity for students or lecturers in conducting attendance.

Abstract

Laser cutting is one of the processes used as an alternative to conventional machinery that has goodcutting qualities and minimizes product damage. The workings of laser cutting is to direct the output of high laser power on the material to be cut, the material then melts, burns, evaporates by gas, and produces edges with a good quality surface. This study aims to determine the effect of laser head distance from the laser cutting machine on the spot diameter produced on the polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) material. This study used a laser machine with 60 watts of power and variation of laser head distance with an interval of 1 mm at a distance of 1-28 mm. Spot diameter value was gained measurement from using stereo zoom microscope with 30 X magnification and mapping. The result shows that the spot diameter was 0,229 - 0,990 mm. The factors that affect the value of spot diameter is the laser power used and laser head distance from the material.

Abstract

Investment is a principle thing in the business world, because investment is one source of capital that can be owned by capital holders. The public still has a perception that shares or capital markets or exchanges are something complicated, expensive and have high risk. A survey conducted by OJK in 2012 explained that the level of literacy and financial inclusion of Indonesian people was still relatively low at only 3.7 percent literacy and accountability. Only 0.11 percent is inversely proportional to the number of Indonesians whose numbers are always increasing every year. Let's Save Stocks is a campaign that was inaugurated in 2015 by Indonesian Vice President, Yusuf Kalla in enhancing the role of the community in shares. An interesting promotional media is needed to introduce shares to the public, one of which is an animated film that is able to be consumed by people of all ages, education and economics. Moreover, motion graphic is a technique that is able to make still images to move and be interactive.

Abstract

Diesel engines are widely used as driving forces in vehicles and industry due to fuel efficiency and high output power. The wide use of diesel engines triggers an increase in fuel consumption and exhaust emissions that are harmful to health. Jatropha is a renewable fuel as a solution to increase fuel consumption. However, the high viscosity and low calorific value result in reduced performance and increased exhaust emissions. Butanol has a high oxygen content and cetane number and low viscosity compared to diesel and jatropha. Addition of butanol is possible to reduce the decrease in performance and exhaust emissions of diesel engines. this study evaluates the effect of butanol on reducing Isuzu 4JB1 diesel engine direct injection emissions. Percentage of blend used 70/30/0, 65/30/5, 60/30/10, and 55/40/15 based on volume. Tests are carried out at 2500 constant turns with a loading of 25% to 100% using the EGR system. The experimental results showed the presence of butanol caused a decrease in soot emissions produced by diesel engines

Abstract

Nowdays, Alumunium is widely used and utilized in industrial activities because of light properties and having well mechanical strengths. The use of alumunium does not only limit on the use of new alumunium, but also the used one. The main purpose of this research, i.e., (1) testing of physical and mechanical properties of Al-Zn7 from the fussion of Crucible furnace; (2) analyzing crucible furnace of the Al-Zn7 fussion by comparing to the result of the first and second fussion. The method of this research was experimental research with the average value of each the first casting was 49,2 HRB and the second one was 50,3 HRB. Based on the test result showed that the quality of crucible furnace was good because it did not experience the significant changes.

Abstract

Biodiesel is a priority program to reduce dependence on diesel fuel. B20 biodiesel is proven to be used as fuel without modifying diesel engine specifications. The development of biodiesel with a higher percentage of palm oil need to be developed continuously, therefore dependence on diesel fuel is lower. However, the high viscosity of biodiesel becomes an obstacle, so alcohol is added to reduce problems in the fuel injection process. This research aims to observe the biodiesel properties of a solar-palm cooking oil-methanol/ethanol/butane mixture which is correlated with the potential exhaust emissions and performance produced by a diesel engine. Palm cooking oil used is 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, and 85%, while methanol/ ethanol/ butane alcohol used is 15%. Based on the results of physical and chemical tests, the higher the content of palm cooking oil means the worse the biodiesel properties will be. Biodiesel blended of palm-methanol solar-cooking oil has the potential of the same exhaust emissions and engine performance as diesel fuel.

Abstract

the use of dictionaries is not only used manually by searching for words in the dictionary book but also digitally which facilitates the work in searching for the meaning of the word. Due to the number of dictionary applications at this time it is done in the development of dictionary applications supported speech to text features in the search he said. Making this application using SQLite database and editor of Android Studio. The use of this dictionary not only functions in searching for the meaning of words, but there is also a list of tensis that comes with text to speech. This application can make it easier to find words and know about tensis. The end result of this application has been tested with several smarthphone with different android version and the result of this application can run well. The drawback of this application is the use of speech to text features that are still online, and data that can be entered into SQLite can not be much and limited, text to speech can not explain tensis accurately.
