Abstract

School is a formal educational institution recognized by the Indonesian State Education Institute, every citizen has the right to get it. In accordance with field interview observations, there is no equal distribution of junior high school locations around sub-districts in Aceh Besar and the distance of school locations from students' residences is very far. The purpose of this study is to analyze geographic information systems (GIS) on the probability of building new school in Aceh district, which are divided in 4 criterias; high, medium, low, and no probability, as well as using school spatial analysis (buffer, overlay and clip) and scoring methods to determine the probability for the location of the new school. The results show 4 criteria for the location probability; there are 11 districts with high probabilities, 21 medium probabilities, 23 low probabilities, and 23 no probabilities in each district.

Abstract

Metallic-based materials are commonly used as bone plates as well as orthopedic implants, due to their mechanical properties. This study aims to perform a finite element analysis based on three-point bending test data according to the ASTM F382-99 standard. The dimensions of bone plate material was 120 mm x 14 mm x 5 mm (length x width x thickness) with 6 and 10 screw holes. The load given to the plate analysis was 986.89 N with element size of 0.55 mm. The hexahedron elements have the total number of 62,179 elements for 6 holes and 62,960 elements for 10 holes. The total number of elements of the tetrahedron were 63,609 elements for 6 holes and 64,822 elements for 10 holes. Also, finite element analysis for plates with 6 holes and 10 holes using hexahedron elements yielded a total deformation of 6.1963 mm and 6.7852 mm, respectively. Furthermore, the tetrahedron element for plates with 6 holes and 10 holes resulted in a total deformation of 6.1762 mm and 6.7651 mm, respectively. Based on the above data, it can be concluded that the finite element analysis calculation for bone plate using hexahedron elements is more accurate when compare to the tetrahedrons.

Abstract

The Savonius turbine has a simple construction making it easy to build. The weakness of the conventional Savonius turbine is that there is a negative torque due to the presence of blades that are opposite to the flow direction. Negative torque can be reduced by placing a curved plate at the front of the turbine. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of a curved plate deflector for the performance of a two-blade Savonius vertical axis air turbine. The research was conducted by varying the curvature of the deflector, namely 1/4 circle, 3/8 circle and 1/2 circle experimentally. The test results show that the addition of a curved plate deflector improves turbine performance compared to without using a deflector. Of the three variations of the deflector, the 1/4 circle deflector has the highest performance with a power generated of 0.266 Watt and a power coefficient of 0.169 at 113 rpm.

Abstract

The interest of hotel visitors has decreased since the Covid-19 pandemic. So it is recommended that hotels implement Customer Relationship Management (CRM) which has three stages: getting new customers (Acquire), improving customer relationships (Enhance), and retaining customers (Retain). However, hotels currently do not have practical service applications that help to maintain the relationship between hotel management and consumers, so it requires research that implements E-CRM by designing a prototype of web-based Hotel customer service applications. This study aims to standardize hotel customer service applications that implement E-CRM. It uses qualitative research methods by applying the prototype system development method. The research contribution is to make an E-CRM prototype in a hotel customer service application with several features such as complaints, testimonials, promotions, and point redemption. Based on experiments and testing from a user using UAT and interview, the implementation of E-CRM using a prototype of web-based Hotel customer service applications helps the staff to find customer complaints. The promotion feature helps staff add promotional information that appears on the website's front page. Hotel customers can use the feedback feature in complaints, testimonials and redeem points exchange with prizes. In future research, sentiment analysis on hotel customer reviews using a classification algorithm can be carried out.

Abstract

One of the problems of lecture assignments based on drawing is drawing technique. The function of the learning software is to be the basic media of the teacher in explaining the material. This research aims to analyze the feasibility of learning software, namely computer aided design. Research techniques applied in this research are through reference sources from previous studies. The feasibility test method uses validity techniques that already have parameters in determining the feasibility of the test. Results from this study compared to the results of analysis from previous studies showed 78.6% (can be categorized as feasible). In addition, computer aided design learning software in 3D mini ragum has a validation result of 69% (can be categorized as feasible). Then it can be concluded that the learning software used today can support the delivery of materials that will be given.

Abstract

The admission of prospective new students must consider various procedures to direct prospective new students in determining the study program they are interested in. This study will discuss the optimization of the Naive Bayes method to determine the study program or major for prospective new students with the Unsupervised Discritization method approach. There are several stages of research methods carried out in this study, including Data Cleaning, Data Collection, Criteria Determination, Probability Determination, and Data Testing. This research has been carried out using the same method, namely the Naïve Bayes method which is used to classify the interests of prospective new students in determining the study program with an accuracy value of 96.68%. Ongoing research uses the same method, namely Naive Bayes, then optimization is carried out with the Unsupervised Discretization method approach. For data testing, there are 1671 student data records. After testing with the same method and optimizing it, the accuracy value from 96.68% became 97.66% with the classification results showing the DIII Pharmacy study program. The purpose of this research is to produce a classification in determining the study program or major for prospective new students using the Naïve Bayes method by the optimization of the Unsupervised Discretization method. From the results of testing the data, the Naïve Bayes method after optimization with the Unsupervised Discretization method is very good compared to the application before optimization.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a disease in pregnant women characterized by high blood pressure and positive urine protein. The disease has a high risk of maternal and fetal death, so there is a need for early detection of mothers at risk of preeclampsia. Early online detection of preeclampsia is the best solution during the Covid-19 pandemic by analyzing the influencing factors. The purpose of this study is to build an expert system for early detection of preeclampsia in pregnant women using the Certainty Factor method and the waterfall system development model in order to provide the possibility of pregnant women suffering from preeclampsia. Testing the accuracy of 30 medical record data for pregnant women resulted in a system accuracy level of 90%, while usability testing resulted in a user satisfaction level of 55 with the System Usability Testing (SUS) score criteria being "Poor", therefore improvements are needed on expert system in the future.

Abstract

Components in a unit have a certain lifetime, therefore maintenance and rejuvenation are needed to maintain performance, including leaf springs. The rear leaf spring component replacement of the Iveco AD 410 truck unit in the MIFA Project was not conducted as scheduled. The purpose of this study is to improve the planning accuracy of the rear leaf spring component replacement for the Iveco AD 410 truck on the MIFA Project. The methods used in this study were qualitative and comparative quantitative method and also reliability centered spares using the normal distribution processing method. The test data used were work order data for 2018-2020 and replacement recommendation data from the manufacturer. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the average lifetime of the rear leaf spring component is shorter than the recommended lifetime from the manufacturer with 18% decrease in component efficiency. This is caused by extreme road conditions and the lack of maximum maintenance on the leaf spring components.

Abstract

Overhaul is a method of engine maintenance where the engine is dismantled and all components are checked and replaced if there is damage. In carrying out overhaul activities, engine trainer  tools are needed, therefore the operator can reach the components in the pinch point. Engine trainers on the market are usually only specific to one engine. However, in this study, a universal engine trainer was designed with various adapter arms that can rotate on one axis. This engine trainer is equipped with a buffer that is useful for reducing vibration when the engine is started. The design of the engine trainer frame was tested for strength using a static load simulation with an engine load of 400 N. The simulation showed that the frame deflection due to the load was 0.7781 mm. This value can be said to be safe from a static load test.

Abstract

Community economic activities that encourage motorized vehicles are getting higher. This exacerbates dependence on fossil fuels and air pollution. The outside air that is contaminated with exhaust gases from combustion products is very dangerous for human health. Motorized vehicles such as motorcycles are the largest cause of air pollution. Alcohols have high octane number and low viscosity. The use of ethanol and methanol alcohols is very diverse, so they are easy to obtain. Therefore, alcohol ethanol and methanol are suitable as premium fossil fuel mixtures. This study aims to observe the CO and HC emission characteristics of the gasoline engine using a premium-alcohol mixture of ethanol, methanol. The alcohol concentration was varied from 5% to 15% at 5% intervals. The petrol engine is operated at 2000, 3000, and 4000rpm. Commercial Gas Analyzers are used to measure CO and HC emissions coming out of the exhaust. The results of the observations present the CO and HC emissions of the engine with premium-ethanol fuel, methanol is lower than pure premium (P100). CO emissions from PE15 fuel decreased to 66,30%, and PM15 decreased to 90,63%. Meanwhile, PE15 fuel HC emissions decreased by 58,94%, and PM15 decreased by 68,60%.
