Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of Nagari in Lembah Melintang Sub-district in 2012-2020, starting with the transition of the leadership of Wali Nagari from M. Thamrin (Elected Wali Nagari for the period 2005-2011) to Burhanuddin. Z (Wali Nagari elected for the period 2012-2018) until 2020 or under the leadership of Wali Nagari Padri lubis (temporary Wali Nagari to date). This research was conducted using historical research methods by going through several stages, namely: first heuristics is the collection of various sources in the form of archives, documents, interviews, literature sources related to research studies. The second is source criticism, namely testing the sources collected by researchers through internal and external criticism. The third interpretation is interpreting these sources and connecting them so that there is a link between the facts of the study and they are neatly arranged both in terms of space and time. Fourth Historiography is to present the results of the research in the form of a written work. The results of this study indicate the desire of the Nagari Government to create or prosper its people. This is evidenced by the construction of facilities or facilities that support quality human resources as well as development to create business opportunities for local communities in order to obtain a better economic life.

Abstract

The research entitled Development of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Kec. Mandau Bengkalis Regency (2008-2021) Thesis Department of History Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Padang State University. This study raised the issue of the Development of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Kec. Mandau is seen in terms of physical development and the role of the hospital. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical development and role of the Mandau District Hospital from 2008-2021. This study uses a qualitative approach to the research method, namely the historical method. The historical method consists of several stages. The first stage is heuristics or data collection. The second stage, source criticism, namely the author tests whether the data that has been found is correct or not, whether the source is really good and can be trusted. The third stage, interpretation. The fourth stage, historiography, in which the writer writes the data obtained into a scientific work. The results of this study found that the Mandau District General Hospital began functioning in 2008, related to hospital facilities or infrastructure that continued to make improvements in each period.

Abstract

This research discusses LPM Suara Kampus State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Imam Bonjol Padang Period NKK/BKK to SK No.4003/U/1990 New Order Period. The Normalization of Campus Life which was implemented during the era of the Minister of Education and Culture Daoed Joesoef was the government's attempt to keep students away from the social and political affairs of the government. Under the supervision of the Student Affairs Coordinating Board (BKK), all tertiary student organizations throughout Indonesia are regulated and supervised in carrying out their activities, including student publications on campus. At IAIN Imam Bonjol Padang, a campus press was published named Shautul Al-Jamiah/ Suara Kampus 1979. The focus of this research study is to discuss the existence of news Suara Kampus in the period of the NKK/BKK policy and its existence after the policy was repealed in 1990. The purpose of this study is to reveal the existence of LPM reporting Suara Kampus in the period of the NKK BKK policy to SK No.4003/U/1990 during the New Order. This research includes qualitative research, using historical research methods. Qualitative research is a research procedure that produces descriptive data. The steps in historical research go through four stages, namely heuristics (searching for and collecting data), source criticism, interpretation (interpreting historical facts or evidence) and historiography (history writing). The data collection techniques used were archival studies, literature studies and interviews. The research results show that Suara Kampus when the NKK/BKK policy was implemented, it was still able to show its existence by consistently publishing tabloids, newspapers and magazines that contained news reviews about campuses and articles on Islamic themes. The publication received international recognition by being invited Suara Kampus to the World Islamic Media Conference. After the NKK/BKK policy was repealed, Suara Kampus still exists by incorporating socio-political issues so that the rubrics presented are more diverse.

Abstract

This research examines the development and background of the emergence of the Aur Kuning Market in Bukittinggi City in 1981-2017. The emergence of this market is due to the density of traders in the Upper Market, which makes traders interested in moving to the Aur Kuning Market. Along with the development of the Aur Kuning Market and supporting facilities accompanied by low price conditions, Aur Kuning Market has become a textile wholesale center in West Sumatra and even on Sumatra Island, so that its existence has become part of the economic center of the City of Bukittinggi. The problems raised in this study are how the development of the Aur Kuning Market in 1981-2017 and what was the background for the establishment of the Aur Kuning Market in 1981-2017. The purpose of this study is to describe the background of the establishment of Pasar Aur Kuning in 1981- 2017. Then the development of the Aur Kuning Market in 1981-2017. This research is included in qualitative research using historical methods in the form of library studies, archives and interviews. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the background to the emergence of the Aur Kuning Market in 1981 was due to the Presidential Instruction in 1975 through SK Permendagri No. 15 of 1975. Some of the land used for this terminal and market is owned by the community and the government, namely land inherited from Japan.

Abstract

These temples were first discovered by a Dutch researcher named Verkerk Pistorius (1868) in the form of stacked bricks. After conducting excavations, the next restoration was carried out by a National Archaeological Research Center named Marsis Sutopo and the Compilation team from Batusangkar (BP3). The problem that occurred during the restoration was the lack of human resources around the temple. This study aims to determine the history of the restoration of Padang Roco Temple and Pulau Sawah Temple located in Jorong Sungai Langsat, Kenagarian Siguntur, Dharmasraya Regency. Based on the above, the cultural heritage area must be preserved so that it can be inherited for future generations. With data collection methods such as documents and interviews. The problems that occur when carrying out restoration are mainly the lack of human resources (HR) around, inadequate road access, and erratic weather. Looking at the problems that exist in the area of Padang Roco Temple and Pulau Sawah Temple, it is necessary to plan the preservation of cultural heritage areas which include protection, development and utilization.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the prohibition of ethnic marriage in Nagari Talang Babungo, Hiliran Gumanti District, Solok Regency. Sasuku marriage is something that is strictly prohibited in the marriage custom of Nagari Talang Babungo. Sasuku marriage is a barrier for people who will marry with the same tribe. Nevertheless, the marriage of the Sasuku in the Talang Babungo village still occurs. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected by interview, observation and documentation. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be seen that ethnic marriages in Nagari Talang Babungo in 2008-2019 have been carried out by the community. There were 4 couples who had ethnic marriages in Nagari Talang Babungo from 2008-2019. This is because of the change in customary sanctions for people who are currently engaged in sasuku marriages. This change in customary sanctions can be seen from the sanctions given to couples who carry out sasuku marriages in Nagari Talang Babungo in 2008 until now.

Abstract

This research examines the development of natural tirta natural tourist destinations into tourist attractions in the 2x11 year timber planting district (1994-2022). This study aims to explain the development of natural tourist destinations from 1994-2022 so that they can make it attractive for visitors who will travel there. This study uses the historical method using the following steps: data collection or heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, historiography. In obtaining primary or secondary data, the authors conducted it in two ways, namely library research and field studies. The results of this study indicate that the initial existence of the Tirta Alami baths was the land acquisition that occurred in 1994 and the management of the Tirta Alami baths began by PT Andalas Permai Internasional in 1996. Initially these baths had the same number of pools until now. The coolness and beauty of the Tirta Alami bath makes it an attraction for visitors to come to this tour. During the ownership of PT Andalas Permai Internasional in 1996-2018 the focus was on the management of the Tirta Alami baths. In 2018 there was a change in ownership to PT Dempo Anailand, Anailand did not only focus on natural tirta tourism but also on anai peak tourism. Many of the games in the natural tirta baths were moved to the Anai peak tour so that the visitors' interest was divided when they were in the area of PT Dempo Anailand which caused a decline at the start of the move.

Abstract

This research discusses how the development of PT. Cassia Co-op 2012-2021. PT. Cassia Co-op is the only company that processes raw cinnamon into finished goods, located in the village of Koto Dumo, Tanah Kampung District, Sungai Penuh City. This research is a qualitative research using historical research methods which are divided into four steps, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Based on the research results, PT. Cassia Co-op is the only company that processes cinnamon in Sungai Penuh City. From its inception until now, PT. Cassia Co-op is experiencing very rapid development. This can be seen in terms of raw materials, capital, marketing, as well as the amount of production that continues to increase, labor and tools used in the production process which increase every year which are the supporting factors for the development of this company. In addition, the development of the company cannot be separated from the management and strategies used by the company so that the production process can run smoothly.

Abstract

This article describes G30S and Political Prisoners in the book by John Roosa. The purpose of this study is to describe the events of G30S and political prisoners. This study uses historical methods in its writing, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study illustrate that G30S is a movement origaniting from the internal Army and the Special Bureau, which is one of the bodies the PKI created by Aidit to prevent a coup that will be caried out by the Council of Generals. G30S resulted in the killing of hundreds thousands people and the arrests of millions. Political prisoners living in utilization sites and camps were subjected to various forms of torture and abuse. The release of political prisoners began in the 1970`s. Propaganda and historical engineering carried out by the New Order meant that political prisoners were never part of memory and forgetten. John Roosa gave his thoughts and analysis of G30S as a reference for understanding G30S and how this incident was used as pretext for the killing and detention of PKI members.
