<![CDATA[This research focuses on the directive speech acts in Banjar Loksado language. Thisresearch aims to describe the form of directive speech acts (requesting and suggesting)inloksado Banjar Language. This research uses pragmatic approach and descriptivemethod to describe directive speech acts of requesting and suggesting in Banjar Loksadolanguage. The method used in collecting data are direct observation, and the techniqueused are: recording and note taking technique. The result shows that the directive speechacts of requesting has linguistics politeness forms, such as: muhun ’please’, tulung’help’, and minta ’ask’. Mean while, the marker of directive speech acts of suggesting arehandaknya ’should’, baiknya ’ought’, and mun bisa ’if you can’.]]>

<![CDATA[A speaker in a multilanguage must have a language choice to define a language whichto be used in communication. Indonesian people consists of various cultures, races, andethnics, and also variety of languages which they used to communicated between theirfamilies and socities. This research wants to find out the language choice of Bugineseethnic in the family domain based on roles relation and age category in DonggalaRegency. This research aims to (1) described the patterns of language choice of theBuginese ethnic in the family domain based on roles relation and age category inDonggala Regency; (2) to analyzed the based factors of language choice of theBuginese ethnic in the family domain based on roles relation and age category inDonggala Regency. This research used a sociolinguistics approach method byquestionnaire, interview, observe, and record. The data analyzed based on thepercentage of language choice of the Buginese ethnic in family domain. The resultsshows that Buginese ethnic in Donggala Regency, 83,7% used Buginese as a meduim ofcommunication in family domain, 7,7% used Bahasa Indonesia, and 8,3% used both ofBuginese and Bahasa Indonesia, and only 0,3 % used mother tongue (DampalLanguage).]]>

<![CDATA[One of official communication devices is letter. The language applied in the letter need to be well arranged to gain its communication aim. The spelling system is one of the aspect that need to be arranged. This aspect becomes the problem in this research, how Indonesian spelling system is applied in the official letter of Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II-A, Palu, Sulawesi Tengah (Penitentiary Class II-A, Palu, Central of Sulawesi) in particular. The descriptive analytic is applied in this research. The source of data is the out-letter archives of the rehabilitation. Documentation technique is the technique of collecting data in this ressearch. According to the analysis of of 21 letters, there are ten common mistakes in apllied the spelling system. Those ten are (1) the mistake in using letters, (2) the mistakes in using preposition, (3) the mistake in using ordinal number, (4)the mistake in using words combination, (5)the mistake in using abbreviation and acronym, (6) the mistake in using adapted word, (7) the mistake in using full stop, (8) the mistake in using comma, (9) the mistake in using hyphen, and (10) the mistake in usingslash.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims (1) to know and to analyse the availability of ICT resources at publicjunior high school of integrated model Madani; (2) to know and to analyse theimplementation of Indonesian language based on ICT learning in pioneering school ofintegrated model Madani; and (3) to know and to analyse student intersctions in ICTbased learning model. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach that is bydescribing the characteristic of variables using frequency tables and percentage. Dataare collected througt interview, observation, and documentation. Questionnaire isdesigned using likert scale. The result of this research shows that (1) the availability ofICT resources at public junior high school of integrated model Madani have anadequate amount, (2) the implementation of Indonesian language based on ICT learninghave not in edeal condition yet, but they have mostly perform KTSP learning principles,and (3) student interactions in ICT based learning model have develoved the CBSAmethod.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe apology in Banjar language base on pragmatics study.Pragmatic shows us the principles of using language for interaction. Analysis throughpragmatic is a study about the ability using language to choose sentence according tothe context. The method used in this study is qualitative. The main data are utterancesthat contain apologize expresses in daily life in banjar informal situation. The dataare gained through taking note, recording, and interviewing. The result shows that theexpression of apologize of the speaker to say it directly are maaflah ‘I am sorry,jangan sariklah ‘do not be angry’, and ampun banarlah ‘I am terribly sorry’.]]>

<![CDATA[The main focus of the research is noun phrase in Buol language. This research aims todescribe the noun phrase in Buol language and its patterns. The research’s objectivesis to describe the noun phrases and its patterns in Buol language. Steps to be taken inthis study begins with data collection. In obtaining data, researchers usedquestionnaire related to the noun phrase. Recording technique and notes-taking areused in this method. The data were analyzed by using read-marker method anddistributional method in expand technique. The result shows that the noun phrase inBuol language includes attributive noun phrase and coordinative noun phrase. TheAttributive noun phrase has some patterns: (1)stem-modifier, (2)modifier-stem, (3)modifier-stem-modifier. While the coordinative noun phrase has a single pattern, thatis multistem pattern.]]>

<![CDATA[Things on women's lives have always been discussed in various domains of life, suchas legal, economic, politic, or social. Those are also being the main discussion in theliterary world. Some authors in their own manner and perspective reveal sides ofwomen. However, most of them in literature shows that women are weak creatures asare being weakened by the pressure of various things, such as politics, culture, or thelaw. Women’s voice and movement are still underestimated by the dominant power. Itapplies universally, not least in China, the country which was known as a source ofvery high culture. The paper will explore conflicts of Feng whose life on the extremedifferent political situation on the novel The Flowers in Shanghai by Duncan Jepson.The analysis was based on the descriptive analysis methodology by approaching somegender concepts from Holmes and Oakley. The conclusion shows that changes in thepolitical situation and culture never allow women to develope themselves as chargedto their weakness spot. Jepson emphasized that women should pay so dearly forchanges their made.]]>

<![CDATA[Politeness is a very important aspect in forming the language and characters. Languageof street children is one part of the language of a community, which have specialcharacteristics in their usage. It is interesting to study further because of the conditionof language that occurs in the community of street children varies along with the times.One observer of the community street children in Doping village is Ana'Tugucommunity. This study aimed to describe the forms of politeness and impolitenessmaxims used by street children in the Ana'Tugu community in Doping Village. Themethod used is descriptive qualitative method by using the participatory observationtechnique, recording technique and field notes. Analysis of data using a comparativemethod of pragmatics framework. Determination of politeness and unpoliteness basedon indicators derived from the theory of Leech. Results of analysis showed that thereare 44 adherence to the principles of politeness in the conversation of the streetchildren, while the deviation of 4 speech. Data politeness principle consists of sixmaxims, they are tact maxim, sympathy maxim, approbation maxim, generossity maxim,modesty maxim, and agreement maxim. The most common maxims of politeness inconversation among the street children is an agreement and generosity maxim.]]>
