Abstract

Career indecision is a condition that occurs in individuals when experiencing problems or difficulties when starting or being in the career decision-making process that causes incompetence or uncertainty in determining their career choices. Career indecision is caused by various factors, both internal and external factors of the individual. In this study, the factors studied were major and gender. The analytical method used in the study was a two-way ANOVA. The study sample was 148 high school X students.  The collected data with the form of a scale. The scale used in the study was a career indecision scale compiled based on the Career Decision-Making Difficulties Questionnaire (CDDQ). the significance value of the sex variable is 0.029 (< 0.05). The significance value of the major is 0.06 (> 0.05). The results showed that there was no difference in high school students' career indecision based on major, while by gender, male students experienced greater career indecision compared to female students.

Abstract

Academic resilience is a form of student resilience in stressful conditions, a way to rise from adversity, adapt, and how to solve problems to face various existing academic demands. One of the factors that influence academic resilience is social support. This study was conducted to examine the significant relationship between peer social support and student academic resilience. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive correlational approach with a sample of 176 students taken using the Proportional Random Sampling technique. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between peer social support and student academic resilience of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Padang. Thus, the higher the peer social support, the higher the student academic resilience of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Padang. Vice versa, the lower the peer social support, the lower the student academic resilience of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Padang.

Abstract

Keterlibatan siswa dalam aktivitas belajar secara teoretis disebut dengan engagement. Banyak penelitian yang menemukan bahwa engagement ini dapat memprediksi proses belajar sampai pada hasil belajar siswa. Skinner dan Pitzer mengatakan salah satu fasilitator dari engagemet adalah hubungan interpersonal individu dengan konteks sosialnya, seperti guru. Guru dapat memengaruhi engagement siswa dengan menerapkan autonomy support, structure dan involvement kepada siswanya. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana dukungan guru memengaruhi behavioral engagement, khususnya pada pelajaran matematika. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 291 orang siswa MTs X Jatinangor. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan meminta penilaian siswa terhadap guru dengan alat ukur Teacher As Social Context (Short-Form) dan self-report dengan skala engegement vs disaffection with learning measure. Hasil uji regresi linear berganda menunjukkan autonomy support, involvement dan structure memiliki pengaruh signifikan secara bersama-sama dalam memprediksi behavioral engagement siswa, dengan tingkat determinansinya sebesar 21.8%. Selain itu, structure dan involvement memiliki pengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap behavioral engagement.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of students spending free time for purposes that are not important, negligent in submitting assignments. This study aims to (1) describe academic procrastination, (2) design an information service program for students with academic procrastination. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study was 168 students at SMA N 1 Harau. The sample in the study was 63 students taken using a purposive random sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires and for data analysis using interval scores and percentages with descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the study (1) students' academic procrastination are at high criteria. (2) the design of the information service program with time management, discipline material that the researchers designed for class XI SMA N 1 Harau District

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of students: they do not comply with the values and rules that exist in school, they cannot get along with friends of different sexes, they are not confident about their physical shape, they are still awkward talking to new friends at school, they wear excessive accessories to school. The aims of the study were 1) to describe the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks at SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh, 2) to describe the achievement of youth developmental tasks at SMAN 1 VII Koto Padang Pariaman, 3) the differences between the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks at SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh and SMAN 1 VII Koto Padang Pariaman. This type of research uses descriptive and comparative quantitative methods. Population 241 people. Sample 110 people. The sampling technique is proportional random sampling. The instrument used was the developmental task inventory (ITP). The data analysis technique uses developmental task analysis (ATP). The results of the study 1) the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks at SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh is at the level of self-awareness, 2) the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks at SMAN 1 VII Koto Padang Pariaman is at the level of self-awareness, 3) the difference between the achievement of adolescent developmental tasks at SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh and SMAN 1 VII Koto Padang Pariaman there is no difference in the achievement of developmental tasks between SMAN 2 Sungai Penuh and SMAN 1 VII Koto Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

Kematangan karier dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya locus of control. Apabila siswa memiliki locus of control internal yang tinggi, maka siswa akan merasa yakin akan kemampuan dan usaha yang dilakukannya. Kenyataannya masih ada siswa yang kurang yakin dengan kemampuan dan usaha yang dilakukannya dan lebih mempercayai nasib dan bantuan orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) locus of control, (2) kematangan karier, dan (3) hubungan antara locus of control dengan kematangan karier siswa hasil belajar rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif-korelasional. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 74 orang siswa hasil belajar rendah di SMK Negeri 3 Tebo. Pengumpulan data menggunakan inventori locus of control dan angket kematangan karier. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase dan Pearson Product Moment Correlation. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kebanyakan (47,24%) siswa hasil belajar rendah memiliki locus of control internal, yang berarti kebanyakan siswa hasil belajar rendah lebih percaya pada kemampuan yang mereka miliki dan upaya yang mereka lakukan, (2) rata-rata skor capaian kematangan karier siswa hasil belajar rendah adalah 152,8 (67,91%) yang tergolong tinggi, dan (3) terdapat hubungan antara locus of control dengan kematangan karier siswa hasil belajar rendah dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,311 dan pada taraf kepercayaan 95%. Artinya semakin tinggi locus of control siswa hasil belajar rendah maka semakin rendah kematangan karier siswa.
