Abstract

Liquid waste cannot be disposed of directly, so it must be processed so as not to cause pollution to the surrounding environment. Both BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) treatment, oxygen is also required so that the quality of the liquid waste is safe for the environment. Liquid waste treatment mostly utilizes aerators to produce high pressure air in liquid waste containing oxygen (O2). The problem that occurs in most wastewater treatment is the determination of the working time of the aerator, resulting in excessive use of electrical energy, but the results of the waste are still within unsafe limits. In general, the operating time of the aerator is manually, this causes the use of electrical energy to be wasteful. This research was conducted, how to develop a control system design for aerator operating time on the quality of liquid waste. The development of the control system used is Sugeno interval fuzzy logic type-2 with 2 (two) input types of Gauss membership function. The advantage of interval fuzzy logic type-2 over type-1 fuzzy logic is the ability to provide more accurate output for higher input uncertainty. The input variables used are waste volume and COD reduction, while the output is the aerator's operating time. The results obtained in the system design can be applied properly and in accordance with the setting point with an average aerator operating time of 6.8 hours and can reduce the use of electrical energy by 38.2%.

Abstract

The availability of renewable energy in various sectors certainly needs to be improved, one of which is Solar Power Plant or PV. The province of Bali has a Solar Power Plant (PV) development target of 108 MW by 2025. The Solar Power Plant target has been stated in the RUEN (National Energy General Plan) policy. Efforts made by the Province of Bali to support and to realize the RUEN target are in the Bali Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 45 of 2019 concerning "Clean Energy Bali". One of the areas in Bali that can be developed as a PV development is Nusa Dua area. In this area, the integration of conventional grid systems and renewable energy (PV Rooftop) can be carried out. In this journal, the author proposes several scenarios that are expected to be considered in planning the integration of a 20 kV grid system with renewable energy power plants. Some of these ideas are the integration of 25%, 50%, and 100% of PLTS capacity in meeting electrical energy needs. The purpose of the scenario is to find out the direction of the flow supplied by the PV, and to know whether the grid will remain stable or not if disturbance occurs.

Abstract

Supermarket shopping is an essential part of the livelihood of most people around the world. Consumers can acquire items essential for their daily activities. However, in an ever-evolving world with an increasing population and increasing crime rates, supermarket theft is becoming a prevalent problem with supermarket owners spending large sums of money on hiring security often with little effect. Organized Retail Crime (ORC) costs the retail industry approximately $30 billion each year, with 71.3% of retailers reporting an increase in ORC year-over-year. With the current global economic conditions, high labor costs are longer feasible. Consumers also face the issue of paying for items they did not select. Advanced camera systems, for some, may be an escape however, this approach is not feasible for all aspects of shopping and in underdeveloped countries that have technical constraints. The advent of digitization has helped improve the livelihood of consumers in Ghana. Currently, many large-scale retailers are oblivious to some of these advancements. The oblivion of the management of such retail services results in the loss of products, customer dissatisfaction and the mismanagement of untracked products by employees. To reduce theft and the mismanagement of products by employees, a smart antitheft system should be deployed in supermarkets; at the till and before the exit of supermarkets to ensure all products leaving the store are paid for and accounted for. The system consists of a deactivation and theft detection system. The product is deactivated by the store attendant at the till when the customer pays for the product. However, if a customer crosses the initial warning zone without paying, a warning sound is triggered and after the customer crosses the final warning zone, the alarm is triggered indicating an attempted theft by the customer. A log of products is also kept ensuring employees are not stealing products. This paper presents a smart way of detecting theft during supermarket shopping using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) readers and tags, microcontroller-based control system, a database server and an Integromat.

Abstract

The grounding of the equipment at the substation switchyard location is given a layer of coral about 10 cm above the ground surface to reduce the tension difference on the ground surface and increase the resistance of the human feet around it. The purpose of this study was to determine the thickness of the coral in the grounding system of switchyard equipment in clay. This research analysis method calculates the results of the coral thickness value to achieve the step voltage and touch voltage values ??according to the IEEE Std 80-2013 standard so that it can provide safety for the equipment and people around it. The results of this study are that the thickness of the coral 0.15 meters produces a touch voltage value = 150.3675 volts (dry conditions) and 148.63 volts (wet conditions) and the step voltage is the smallest and best with a value = 206.83 volts ( dry conditions) and 163.98 volts (wet conditions when compared to the thickness of the coral 0.08 meters to 0.14 meters, so it is concluded that the thickness of the coral is best to be installed at the substation on clay of 0.15 meters is good when the soil and coral are wet or dry, so that it has an impact on the function of the grounding system to function properly and safely for equipment and humans. Keywords— Coral, Earthing, Clay.
