Abstract

Hans-Georg Gadamer is one of the thinkers who falls into the group of ontological hermeneutics. Gadamer matured the idea of consciousness, interpretation of texts and phenomena and discovered the philosophical problem of developing an ontology of understanding objectively in progress. Hermeneutics is always related to language. Gadamer stated that language is the modus operandi of humans' way of being in the world and a form that seems to embrace the entire constitution of the world. For Gadamer, language is time, human existence, being, and truth. Mastery of a language and its unique set of experiences and traditions is the main requirement for the disclosure of ontology itself. The important point of Gadamer's hermeneutic theory refers to the hermeneutic circle regarding dialectical understanding. Dialectical understanding is a process of historical awareness, born due to the involvement of the dimensions of time, namely past, present and future. Truth is achieved when there is a fusion of the horizons of the text, actors and interpreters (fusion horizon). In this understanding, the involvement of language becomes very important. Interpretation is not just reproductive work but rather productive understanding, giving birth to new interpretations and meanings. Gadamer formulated two forms of understanding, namely understanding the truth content and understanding the intention. Understanding content means understanding the meaning contained in the propositions and substance of the text material. Understanding intention means understanding the conditions or situations behind a phenomenon or text. Understanding this second aspect then became Gadamer's attention as an awareness of historical understanding. Historical understanding is obtained through the proposition of historicity, where the awareness of the subject (text interpreter) in carrying out analysis (text interpretation) is required to be inseparable from the study of historical experiences related to the text. Abstract

Three categories of intelligence are used to describe youth: IQ (intellectual ability), EQ (emotional aptitude), and SI (spiritual ability). (SQ). The author here places more emphasis on spiritual intelligence. (SQ). In general, a teenager at this age must have spiritual intelligence that is obtained through closeness to Allah SWT, one of which is by reading the Tahajud Prayer. A teenager at this age is not enough just to have academic intelligence or emotional intelligence. In this regard, the author wants to know more about the influence of midnight prayers at the Assudaniyah Islamic Boarding School in Medan on the spiritual intelligence of adolescents. Qualitative techniques are used when conducting field and library research. Direct observation at the Assudaniyah Islamic Boarding School in Medan, interviews with related parties, and documentation are the methods used to collect data in this study. The results of this study: Assudaniyah Islamic Boarding School has a major role in Improving Youth Spiritual Intelligence through Tahajud Prayers through the implementation of prayer activities with several processes carried out including through exemplary, training and habituation, dialogue, discipline and Mau'izhah. Then there are also factors that become obstacles and supports to increase the spiritual intelligence of adolescents at the Assudaniyah Islamic boarding school, Medan. From this elaboration the author takes several important points about the effect of midnight prayers at the Assudaniah Islamic Boarding School, including: Increasing Faith in Allah SWT, Increasing Santri Discipline, Having a Happy Spirit so as to give birth to productive teenagers, Increasing peace of mind, Stabilizing adolescent self-emotions, Forming The noble character of Santri/Adolescents and Improving the Condition of the brain and learning motivation of students.Keywords: Midnight Prayer, Spiritual Intelligence (SQ), Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

Tasyakuran is defined as a belief that originates from a teaching that has been passed down from one age to another which is monitored and preserved. Naturally, religious beliefs, doctrines or practices have an impact on the Tasyakuran ritual. Ways of understanding tradition have varied over time. Tasyakuran comes in various forms and is performed at certain times, including weddings. Of course, weddings are held in different ways in each region, and Siodadi Village in Kampung Rakyat District, Labuhan Batu Selatan Regency, is no exception. This study aims to find out the Tasyakuran custom or the practice of giving at a wedding in Sidodadi City, to understand the importance, reasons and values contained in this practice and the things that make this custom exist today. In this research, field research, qualitative research method, is used to get the right information by following this tradition. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Although the examination used in this study is an enlightening investigation, it tends to describe and interpret important exploratory data. The research findings are as follows: In Sidodadi Village, the practice of giving offerings at wedding ceremonies still exist, but some of them have taken on new meanings and adapted to the acceptance of Islamic teachings by society. 2). Tasyakuran means "a form of gratitude to Allah SWT", "rejecting reinforcements", and "filled with ancestral beliefs", and is practiced by the residents of Sidodadi Village. 3). The factors that influence the existence of the ritual, its values, and the way religion influences how the tradition is managed.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social conditions and the application of Islamic values in the Muslim community in Lau Buluh Village, Kec. Kuta Buluh Kab. Karo as a community group belonging to the minority. So this research is a qualitative research type of field study using a descriptive approach. Primary data in this study were obtained directly through interviews. While the secondary data in this study were obtained through a literature review. Data collection techniques in this study used participatory observation techniques, semi-structured interview techniques, and documentation /literature. The data analysis technique used in this study is data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model, with activities in data analysis starting from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of this study revealed that; 1) The social condition of the Islamic community in Lau Buluh Village failed to actualize ukhuwah Islamiyah. The reason is because each individual community has a different education, character and different backgrounds. Moreover, religious leaders have not made maximum efforts to establish cooperation with related parties to build ukhuwah Islamiyah. On the other hand, the lack of intensity in the relationship between religious leaders and other parties is recognized as a form of disappointment and pessimism in the face of uncooperative public responses. 2) The application of Islamic values to the Islamic community in Lau Buluh Village is only limited to: Friday prayers in congregation; wirid yasin on Friday night; commemoration of Islamic holidays; donate and give charity. Thus, through the application of Islamic values to the Lau Buluh community, the community belongs to a society that has a symbolic normative understanding of Islam.Keywords: Application, Islamic Values, Minority.

Abstract

In the context of global society and the social changes that occur in the current era of globalization, ethical challenges such as discrimination, promiscuity, hedonism and other forms of moral crisis arise. One of the factors that causes this behavior is a lack of understanding of the individual's creed or religious beliefs. The presence of Islamic beliefs and moral values in the midst of modern life is considered capable of alleviating various forms of moral crises that occur. Therefore, attention to faith, ethics and moral issues becomes increasingly important to study. This article aims to reveal the relationship between faith, ethics and moral values in Islamic teachings. The method used is literature study or literature review by collecting and observing theories, data and information from various trusted written sources. The results of this research reveal that there is a significant relationship between religious beliefs and Islamic moral values. These relationships will mutually influence each other and will have implications for individual behavior in life.Keywords: Creed, Ethics, Religious Beliefs, Moral Values, and Islam.

Abstract

Masalah keimanan nampaknya menjadi salah satu aspek utama dari ajaran Islam yang didakwahkan Nabi Muhammad SAW. Terkait Qadha’ dan Qadar, mula-mula muncul permasalahan tentang kebebasan dan keterpaksaan manusia. Aliran Jabariyah menganut paham bahwa manusia mengerjakan perbuatannya dalam keadaan terpaksa tanpa ada pilihan. Aliran Jabariyah menganggap bahwa manusia seperti benda mati yang tidak memiliki daya dan upaya sedikitpun. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui tentang bagaimana pengaruh pola pikir Jabariyah dalam penerimaan Qadha’ dan Qadar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah aliran Jabariyah berpendapat, bahwa manusia tidak memiliki kekuasaan apa-apa, sebab segalanya tentang dirinya telah dikuasi secara mutlak oleh takdir Tuhan. Amal ikhtiar manusia tidak mempunyai peranan sama sekali. Pola pikir aliran Jabariyah dapat menyebabkan sesorang dengan mudah menjadikan Allah SWT sebagai sebab bagi sesuatu kejahatan atau kemungkaran yang dilakukan manusia. Selanjutnya paham ini tidak sesuai dengan kaedah moral atau akhlak yang mengharuskan setiap orang bertanggung jawab atas segala perbuatannya.

Abstract

The orientation of education is the formation of noble character in accordance with the teachings brought by the Prophet Muhammad SAW, he placed the perfection of morals as the main mission of the message of Islam.  The purpose of this study is to determine moral development, morality is a trait embedded in the soul that encourages a person to perform actions without the need for thought and consideration.  The morality is born from a habit and is ingrained into a personality.  Therefore, it can be understood that morality can have a good and bad impact on oneself and the environment.  Morals are the focus of all divine religions, including Islam.  Morals is a theme that has always been of great concern to Islamic scholars and will continue to be so throughout the ages. After doing the research, this research focuses on showing that the coaching process carried out by the Ar-Raudhatul Hasanah Islamic Islamic Boarding School Paya Bundung Simpang Selayang, Medan Tuntungan District, is widely supported by daily activities that are implemented to be obeyed by all students and female students, the way the ustadz/ustadzah educates students in learning process, and extracurricular activities. Researchers also found supporting and inhibiting factors during the coaching process. The method used in this research is qualitative with research results in the form of descriptive data obtained from various sources using a qualitative descriptive approach.

Abstract

Patience is a word that is easy to say but difficult to practice. Patience is refraining from everything that Allah hates or being steadfast in accepting all His decrees and surrendering to Him. Therefore, Islamic law encourages its people to always hold back (be patient) with the things or events they are facing. Patience is refraining from carrying out desires and leaving things that are forbidden by Allah swt. The purpose of this research is to find out the interpretation of surah Al-Baqarah verses 155-157 perspective of the scholars to find out how to be patient in facing the trials of life. The research method that will be used in this research is descriptive method. The type of research used in this study is a type of library research. The data analysis technique that will be used in this study is a content analysis technique. The results of this study are that being patient in facing life's tests is one of God's ways to make His servants more grateful for what they face. Recommendations from the author, hopefully future researchers can reproduce and strengthen the results of this study.Keywords: Patience, Tests, Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Study of Nursamad Kamba's Sufism Thought in the book Loving Allah Independently. This research was conducted to find out how Nursamad Kamba's Sufism Thought in the book Loving Allah Merdeka. This study uses a qualitative method by analyzing the literature review. This type of research has data sources that are processed through literature related to the object. Based on the research conducted, the results obtained from the following conclusions: Buya Kamba considers that the path of Sufism is a way to transform human character. Buya Kamba wants to position and understand Sufism as a framework for building human psychology that can lead to positive self-character. In relation to the Novel Loving Allah Merdeka. Buya Kamba explains and invites readers (humans) to understand and recognize God, starting with knowing oneself and what it means to love God freely.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the role of Karang Taruna in forming good morals towards teenager, especially teenager in Desa Pasar III Natal, Kecamatan Natal, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. The object of this research is the teenager who participate in the Karang Taruna organization in Desa Pasar III Natal, Kecamatan Natal, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. The author collects data with qualitative methods through interview and observation techniques that are carried out directly in Desa Pasar III Natal, Kecamatan Natal, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. The sources in interviews related to this research were: Village Heads, Community Leaders, Head of Teenager Organizations, and Teenager Organizations. All of the informants were asked about how the development of the teenager movement Karang Taruna gave positive values or otherwise. The finding suggests that the teenager of Karang Taruna in Desa Pasar III Natal, Kecamatan Natal, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal were declared to have a positive influence in shaping their character or morals for the better. Karang Taruna provides opportunities for teenager in the formation of good morals through several fields such as the field of religion, the field of social welfare, as well as the field of ownership and responsibility. So overall, the teenager teenager organizations in Desa Pasar III Natal, Kecamatan Natal, Kabupaten Mandailing Natal, have implemented positive activities that can become a forum for teenager moral formation.Keywords: Morals, Teenager, Karang Taruna.
