Abstract

Human nature, is an expression that is very interested in being discussed by philosophers including Iqbal and Gibran. Their interest in human studies can be found in their various works. According to Iqbal, humans are the most noble creatures, while Gibran argues that humans are social beings as well as individual beings, therefore he is aware of himself and then loves himself. The purpose of this study was to determine the thoughts of Iqbal and Gibran about Human Nature. The results of research on the Human Nature of Muhammad Iqbal and Kahlil Gibran's thoughts, namely Iqbal made the main idea for the nature of Muslim humans. He re-adapted the Persian idea of khudi by removing its negative meanings: selfishness and selfishness. Then he put the idea of khudi in a positive form. According to Gibran, human nature is "love". Humans are creatures of love, love is the greatest gift of God that he gave to humans. As the culmination of that love is to love the creator.

Abstract

The social system always tends to move towards a balance that is dynamic, gradual (slowly or gradually) through adjustments and is not revolutionary. Several functional requirements or requirements that must be met in order for a social system to survive include the following functional imperatives: Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency or commonly abbreviated as AGIL (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, Latency). That human action is seen as the smallest and basic social reality that is always driven by a (voluntaristic) will to achieve goals by heeding agreed values, ideas and norms. the relationship between religion and society, society and its community must have high moral ethics in order to maintain their solidarity. Belief in religion provides principles for society, while religious rituals are a way to generate commitment to these principles.

Abstract

Social theology at the ta'ziah event in Tegal Sari 1 Village, Medan Area sub-district which is a conversation in the community with the existence of the Muhammadiyah and Al-Wasliyah groups, each of whom has an opinion about ta'ziah at the tahlilan event, therefore we associate it with socializing to the surrounding community and is a social wisdom as well as worship in our lives, with that we can help our brothers, relatives and our closest neighbors. This study aims to find out how wisdom is in socializing by making the ta'ziah tradition at the tahlilan event on the 3rd 40th night of the 100th day with a comparative analysis of Muhammadiyah and Al-Wasliyah in Tegal Sari 1 Village, Medan Area District. this type of research is a field research (field research) with a qualitative approach that produces descriptive data in the form of writing and behavior that can be observed from the subject, data collection techniques by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the wisdom of carrying out the ta'ziah tradition at the tahlilan event at the place of the calamity expert and is a wisdom in worship, as for those that provide several factors: first, namely social factors: which strengthen the relationship with relatives, neighbors, and relatives by providing help and advice good for his brother who is a socialist towards fellow humans because they gather at the place of disaster experts. Second, the factor of wisdom in carrying it out: namely increasing the quality of worship by reciting verses of the Qur'an and giving us benefits which we can be fluent in reading. Religion is a guide for human life in human life in overcoming the problems faced so that it can reconcile the human body and mind. Religion as a human benchmark in shaping personality and behavior that serves to understand and understand each other between religious communities in each individual or group.

Abstract

Transformative theology is Islam that has an orientation and initiates the need for social change for the better. Islam must have a social criticism orientation, not only as enlightenment or as a modernization discourse, but Islam that wants to change so that the situation is more just. Based on the research conducted, it can be seen that, Moeslim Abdurrahman's Theological Characteristics is Transformative Islamic Theology which is a partial action that is able to arm marginalized communities to be able to rise and get out of adversity and poverty that they are currently facing in order to become even better. and Moeslim Abdurrahman's main thoughts about poverty, which are divided into three, namely first, poor in religious knowledge, namely if they want to have a dialogue with God, they must call people who are considered experts to read prayers, second, poor in religious institutions, namely religious organizations that generally controlled by the upper middle class society while the lower class people do not have access to justice, third, poor in terms of socio-political are those who are marginal people who are politically dead, have no voice and have no articulation at all.

Abstract

Value is an abstract reality, value may be felt in each person as a driving force or principles that guide life. Values can also manifest out in patterns of behavior, attitudes and mindsets. Value in Arabic itself is not non-material or abstract. Values that are not visible but real can be seen seeing the benefits. Value comes from the root word qiimatun from which the word qoyymatuun is also formed which means straight, as in QS. Al-Bayyinah:3-5. Values and virtues in Islam have two aspects, namely normative and operative aspects. Which includes good grades, half good grades, neutral grades, poor grades, and bad grades. The main values of Islamic teachings have aqidah values, sharia values, and moral values.

Abstract

This article discusses reason in the concept of the Koran. 'Aql in the Qur'an repeats as many as 49 times, except for one, all come in the form of fi'il mudhari', especially the material that continues with wawu jama'ah. Like the form of ta'qilun or ya'qilun. The verb ta'qilun is repeated 24 times and the verb ya'qilun is 22 times. Whereas, the verbs' aqala, na'qilu, and ya'qilu each have one time. From a number of verses of the Qur'an it can be understood that, reason has several meanings, including the power to understand and describe something, moral drive and power to take lessons and conclusions and wisdom.

Abstract

Methodology of Islamic Studies is oriented towards research methods and approaches. Monoistic understanding of Islam can lead to various conflicts. Therefore, this paper attempts to describe in general the various methods and approaches to produce a comprehensive understanding of Islam. This study uses a non-participant qualitative method by adopting a library research approach. The results obtained are the methods and approaches used by the characters in researching Islamic studies, in terms of the results achieved (exploratory, explanatory), in terms of the use of sources (library research, field research), in terms of how to analyze (qualitative, quantitative), from in terms of basic methods (historical, case, correlational, causal-comparative, experiment, survey, and action research).

Abstract

Indonesia's political chaos starting from corruption, collusion, and nepotism is an unresolved problem and there is no clear point until now. There is no proper formula and solution to solve this problem. Like a building, Indonesia is a strong country but very easily collapsed due to political problems, starting from individuals and groups. Therefore it is necessary to have a strong and sturdy construction to support the building so that it does not collapse easily. The reconstruction that was built by M.Iqbal with khudi gave birth to a healthy and dynamic politics. As for things that can strengthen khudi: Love, Faqr, courage or enthusiasm, tolerance, lawful business, and honest and creative work. This can be used as a reconstruction in contemporary Indonesian politics. A sense of love and full responsibility will color individuals who are involved in politics. Khudi as a philosophical thought serves to strengthen the foundation of Indonesian politics which is easily shaken. The type of research used in this research is descriptive analysis research in which in this case the political reconstruction will be based on M.Iqbal's theory, namely khudi. library research method. As a recommendation to address solutions to various contemporary Indonesian political problems, the political reconstruction offered by M.Iqbal with his khudi is considered necessary and able to answer these political problems.

Abstract

In this research, the researcher examines the role of dayah Ulama in Fostering the Islamic Aqidah in Sampoimah Village, East Aceh Regency Sampoimah Village is one of the Villages located in the East Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. Aqidah is the main guideline for Muslims which refers to the belief in the nature of divinity. Dayah education facilities are one of the references in fostering aqidah within Muslims so that aqidah can be embedded more strongly in the hearts of every Muslims and what form a good character. Children will be encouraged to be more enthusiastic in learning.  As for the problem in this thesis, how is the role of ulama in fostering aqidah to Muslims and what factors motivate parents to send their children to Daya in Sampoimah Village, east Aceh Regency. Dayah has also become a real educational institution in the personal formation of children, this makes most parents enter their children into Dayah. The methodology used by the author in this study is a qualitative descriptive analysis method with field research. The data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing processed from the results of field observations and seeing village community activities. Data analysis was carried out using data collection, data filtering, data classification and conclusions. The results of this study were conducted in sampoimah Village, East Aceh District. Shows that this dayah does not have a special method to become a standard for learning in the dayah, the learning is carried out using only the same simple method as the method used at the time of the apostle, namely the question and answer method, sitting in halaqah and so on. But with this relatively simple learning, it is able to shape the character of the students whisch leads to positive things because of the responses from the students during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the phenomenon of cosplay and hijab cosplay in Muslim communities in Medan, cosplay according to contemporary religious experts and scholars, and how to overcome the development of cosplay and hijab cosplay in Medan. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative method, which is obtained from the results of direct research that goes into the field by expressing words and writing, conducting observations and interviews by conducting question and answer discussions with the subject of cosplay actors in Medan. The findings obtained in this study are that the development of cosplay in Medan City, especially among teenagers, is familiar, where previously, teenagers in Medan City knew about cosplay through various media, both magazines, television, internet, and from various of other social media. At first, cosplay was known among Medan youth through the Bunkasai activity, which was organized by students of the Department of Japanese Literature at the Universitas Sumatera Utara in the implementation of the annual “Japanese Culture Festival” (Bunkasai) in 2008. Cosplay in the lives of teenagers in Medan City has become a habit. And has become a common practice in festival events in the city of Medan, both in Muslim fashion events for female cosplayers and male cosplayers for schools and at the festival level in Medan City which is often carried out at Carefour by using robot costumes or using anime from animated cartoons.
