Abstract

[Title: The Effect of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving Learning Model Toward Student Physics Science Learning Outcomes]. This study aims to test mechanical on membrane composite membrane based crab shell and poly vinly Acetat (PVA). A mechanical test was performed to test the young modulus of the membrane in maintaining pore size using the "Tensilon" machine. The results show that chitosan / Poly Vinly Acetate composite membrane with preparation of comparison 25% -75%, 50% -50% and 75% -25%. For sample 25% -75% experience drying process faster than other sample. On the mechanical test of chitosan membrane / Poly Vinly Acetat showed the biggest value that is equal to 9.84 Mpa on comparison preparation 50% -50%. 25% -75% and 75% -25% preparations decreased by 4.68 MPa and 1.37Mpa.

Abstract

Chemical material contains concepts of formulas that must be completed by the students. The purpose of this research is to know: (1) correlation of divergent thinking character with achievement of chemistry learning of class X MAN 2 Mataram academic year 2012/2013; (2) correlation of convergent thinking characters with chemistry learning outcomes. This type of research is correlational. The subjects of the study were 166 students of class X. Data thinking characters are collected using questionnaires of divergent / convergent thinking characters. Learning result data is obtained at the end of semester. Data analysis used is Pearson product moment correlation. The results show that there is a negative correlation between diverging thinking characters and learning outcomes.  This means that the higher the tendency of divergent thinking of the students, the lower the learning result, this is proved by the value of r-test (-0.121) <-r-tabel (-0,044). In addition, convergent thinking characters are positively correlated between convergent thinking characters and learning outcomes. This means that the higher the tendency of convergent students thinking, then the learning result will be high, this is proved by the value of r-test (0.048)> r-table (0.044). We conclude that: (1) the divergent thinking character of the students is negatively correlated with the learning outcomes; (2) the convergent thinking characters in the students are positively correlated with the learning outcomes.

Abstract

A good teaching process is a teaching that allows student active role or recoqnisa student for their active participation. One of the methods that can be applied in teaching process is ARIAS. This research aims to analyze student creative thinking skill in grade VIII student at SMP Muhammadiyah Mataram. The research implies on class activity observation as research methodology by enacting two cycles. The data of creative thinking skill was collected by using essay test to measure the student skill at the end of the cycle. The result of this research has shown that student creative thinking skill on the first cycle was categorized less-creative with the average of 52,25% and the second cycle was found that creative thinking skill of student has increased and classified as creative with the average of 74,74%. At the conclusion, that the implementation of ARIAS teaching method has enhancad creative thinking skill on the subject of Works and Energy in grade VIII student at SMP Muhammadiyah Mataram, on the academic year of 2015/2016.

Abstract

[Title: The Development of Problem Based Modules to Improve Students' Creative Thinking Skills]. This study aimed to produce a module of physics-based on problems to improve students creative thinking skills. The development model used in this study was ADDIE. This research was conducted in second-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Mataram. Data analysis was used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that the module rating by validator 1 was 3.28 which criteria into very valid and validator 2 was 3.34 which criteria into very valid. Module practicability was analyzed by the implementation of learning with 3 observers. The assessment by observer 1 was 3.75 very good, observer 2 was 3.75 very good, and observer 3 was 3.79 very good with the criteria of the excellent module assessment. The result of the research shows the students response when used the module was 3.7 is strongly agreed criteria and 3.07 is agreed criteria. The effectiveness of used the module in improving the students creative thinking skills earned an average score of 79.5 with creative criteria. So, it can be concluded that the use of module physics-based problems can be developed feasible used in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to remediate student misconceptions on dynamic electrical materials. Remediation activities are conducted in two stages. First, the  development of guided discovery learning devices and misconception diagnostic test instruments. The development follows the 4-D model stage. The second phase is, the implementation of learning in 35 students of Physics Education in 2011 State University of Surabaya through Design One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Student misconceptions data were analyzed by CRI analysis and learning implementation data were analyzed by mean of stepping. The data of the research shows that the average value of learning is 3.6 (very good category). Initial misconception profiles are found on every concept before learning and decline after remediation. At the drift speed concept, students experienced misconceptions 66% and 31% after application. In the concept of 'Ohm's law' 26% to 3%, source voltage parallel series strewed 71% to 43%, current consumption model 63% to 46%, series and parallel impact on power 80% to 46%, energy on battery 40% to 37%, electrical circuit typology 69% to 51%, electric power in mixed circuit 51% to 17%, current on a circuit 40% to 11%, potential difference between two points 43% to 9%, use of measuring instrument electricity (ampermeter and voltmeter) in the series 37% to 26%, and Kirchhoff rules 20% to 26%. The results of this data analysis can be concluded that the learning tools developed can reduce student misconception.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of inquiry learning model on student physics achievement in junior high school. The method used is experimental research. The sample used are; grade VII-D students as many as 27 people as control class, and level VII-G as many as 27 people as experimental class. The sample selection was done by purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by pre-test and post-test in both classes. The average pre-test in the experimental class is 28.04 and 30.11 for the control class. The average post-test score in the experimental class is 74.41 and 69.26 for the control class. The analysis result using t-test obtained t-test of 1.82 and t-table is 1.67. The value of t-test is greater than t-table at 5% and dk is 52. We conclude that there has been a significant influence of inquiry learning model on physics learning achievement.

Abstract

[Title: Development of Lightweight Brick Based on Traditional Gold Processing Waste with Water Hyacinth Booster]. Research has been carried out on the manufacture of light brick made from gold processing waste with water hyacinth filler. The study was carried out by varying the direction of water hyacinth fiber as filler in light brick making. The direction of the filler is arranged in a horizontal, orthogonal and random direction. In each filler direction, the percentage variation of water hyacinth is arranged with the volume fraction 0%, 15%, 30%, 45%, 60%, from the total volume of the amount of light brick. The test results show that in the horizontal fiber direction the compressive strength is (2.43; 0.25; 0.54; 0.24; 0.50) MPa with a density (1.62; 1.34; 1.58; 1.42; 1.25) gr /cm3. In orthogonal direction the compressive strength was (2.43; 0.26; 0.80; 0.63; 0.77) MPa with density (1.62; 1.42; 1.49; 1.53; 1.42) gr/cm3. While in the random direction the compressive strength was (2.43; 0.73; 0.69; 0.59; 0.65) MPa with a density (1.62; 1.20; 1.41; 1.13; 1, 20) gr/cm3. From these data by comparing with previous studies, the most stable compressive strength and density values are formed in orthogonal directions. While the density value is most formed in random direction. In all directions the compressive strength and stable density were formed in the 60% volume of filler. The test results show that the light brick that is formed into the category is very light (entered in 0.6 - 1.6 gr/cm3 range) and floating in water, with medium compressive compressive strength.
